EastIdahoNews.com and Ashley Furniture HomeStore in Idaho Falls and Pocatello are partnering to honor people in our community for Feel Good Friday. Every week, we surprise someone deserving of special recognition.
Brad Pearson is a physical therapist who has been fighting long-haul Covid for several months. The illness and exhaustion have forced him to work from home.
Earlier this week, he heard someone yelling outside his Blackfoot home. He went to the front door and a man working in the field across from Pearson's house was asking for someone to help him. The man's colleague had collapsed and did not have a pulse.
Pearson called 911 and went across the street. For over 10 minutes, he did chest compressions on the man until the paramedics arrived. Pearson was exhausted and said he prayed constantly for the strength to keep the compressions going. The man was rushed to the hospital and survived - with doctors crediting Pearson for getting the man's heart beating again.
We decided to pay Pearson a visit and thank him for his quick actions. Watch the video above to see the surprise!

speaking as a former EMT, cpr is the most physically, mentally and emotionally exhausting thing you can do. God bless you sir
Former EMT and retired nurse. You are exactly right! It's exhausting but it's truly amazing when someone survives because of it! ❤️
I guess you haven't had a baby or watched a woman give birth.
retired paramedic / firefighter. not only exhausting and draining, shows what fast response and training can do! never take your first aid lightly it will save someone else's life!
What an amazing humble man, in tears because he could help save a life. His reaction to the incident sailed it all, makes you realise there are still good people out there, just wish there were more like him. I pray he recovers from his long covid and can get back to his normal healthy self. Very deserving ❤️🙏🏻
Never done it myself, but I've heard this over and over from so many qualified people.
Brad is an older gentleman who was recovering from a RESPIRATORY DISEASE THAT HAS KILLED MILLIONS!
Ran... While calling and talking... Only to arrive and perform CPR for MINUTES...
You can talk about the great powers of adrenaline and all but... Dang...
You are a hero, sir.
Nothing more, nothing less
What a hero. Hope his long-term COVID improves greatly and swiftly.
Texas.
How do you know he has "long-term COVID"?
@@billwilson5341 listen at the beginning that is why he was home working
@@loaf9604: Thank you for the kind reply.
Such a kind, selfless and humble man. I'm glad he was honored for what he did, and I hope he is recognized by his city. God sent the right man for the job.
Indeed
Amen 🙏
The hand of God... what a precious thing to be a part of. Very touching and humbling ❤️🙏
I think you're completely right!
There are angels among us who work 24/7/365. And some work from home. 🙏😉🙏
@@babawali3021 Lovely statement :)
@@1BassJohn Thanks, John. Happy New Year to you and yours.
As a former CPR Coordinator for a large metro hospital, it makes me happy to hear this story. As a Christian, I’m thankful that he paid attention to God’s call to go back to see what was happening. Glad to hear that the man survived. ♥️
The gift of life!
Amen! 🙏❣
What a humble and reverent gentleman. A true hero, that God sent as an angel to help his fellow human. God bless him and the 2 other gentlemen!! Hope the patient gets well soon and they meet in a much less dire situation.
Yeah could use a bunch more of both these chaps!👌👏👏👏
@@ellenpendergast6481 pl
Absolutely
He had covid for a reason, if he didn't, he wouldn't be working from home nor would he have been able to help him.
Nearly lost a 45 year long friend to covid who is also a long haul covid victim. He struggles daily.
You sir, are a fine man.
👏
A friend got at lot of help taking nac, vit d and zinc. I researched nac because i didnt know what it did. Turns out it can destroy biofilm which infections can hide under also it removes toxins from liver. He has had copd for years. Both him and and another friend with lifelong asthma said that nac made them cough up very thick stuff that blocked the airway on the way out. Stuff they had never been able to get out before.
I'm not religious but people like Brad are a true blessing to this world. Be well Brad!
Maybe this will change your thoughts about God.❤️🙏
Thank God you're not religious 🙌🙏
Religions are of Satan.
God is about Truth and Love 🙌🙏
Jesus (son of God) said to "follow me" NOT a religion or a denomination but Him personally because it's not about religion!!!
Seek Truth 🙏🙌🙏
@@AuntBee59 I'm not religious either, and I see and appreciate the positive place your comment is coming from, but for us "non-believers" actions like these rather show us what good can come from humans and that people can do amazing things themselves. To save this life was done by this person (and the medics) and he can and should take all the credit (in my opinion) and not pass it on to a higher power. Especially when it's something so true coming from a humble person like in this video. I understand you believe in God, and this is great if your belief helps you in times when you need it. We have our own methods of staying strong in difficult times, we just don't need a god for this. In the end we have all hopefully found our ways and what works for us. All the best and happy holidays. :)
@@cdh79 well I must say that was a very polite comment. Thank you. But there is God. There is heaven. He directs most of us to do good.
I’m so sad you don’t have him in your life. One day, you will stand in front of him. And I bet if you are in a deadly accident, he will be the first you call on.
I just know you will find him. Why not now, I have no idea. You see, I was given up as a child. At 10 years old, God became my only friend. He still is.
He is a comfort to me. I can count on him. I feel he is the reason I am like I am today. A big heart. It’s because of him.
He guides me when I don’t know what to do. I couldn’t live this life without him. I pray one day you feel the same.🙏❤️
And I would like to say Merry Christmas to you. And God bless and keep you.❤️🙏🎄
@Perfect Imperfection God is NOT about Religions Satan is. Religion is the opiate of the masses and Satan IS THAT drug dealer!!!
God is about Truth and Love 🙌🙏
Jesus said to follow me NOT a religion or a denomination, but Him personally because it's not about Religion!!
I hope and pray you find this Truth 🙏
How beautiful that he refers to the "gentleman" who needed help, and that God told him to go back to his porch to check. His emotion when he is telling the story speaks volumes about his heart. Sending Brad, and everyone involved blessings.
Feel Good Friday is a highlight of my week. This guy is so amazing - his emotion about the other man in the midst of his own suffering is beautiful and moving.
Sure beats the kind of stories we get on the news these days. Thank you Nate and EIN for bringing these stories to our attention.
Amen. Some uplifting news for a change.
Praying that both these men have complete healing. God bless them!
That one got me!
Quiet humble man, hope you recover from your own issues soon to spend time with your sweetheart wife
Such a touching story and humble man. His 'sweetheart' found a good one. Greetings fromnthe UK.
Heavenly Father's way of telling Brad, you may not have your usual physical strength, but with me, you have all the strength you need.
What a gift he was able to give. It is a blessing that this man was able to find the strength with the Creator's help to save a man's life.
Thank you sir for being in the right place, at the right time, and being willing and able to assist, amen.
Y'all need to do a news segment on them meeting each other when the man is well enough!
Made me cry. Sweetest man ever.
Thank Goodness for this man! Sir, you’re a angel. I hope you have a blessed rest of your life 💙
Could not have said it better! DITTO!
Wow this is an amazing testimony? God is great. I cried when this god sent men said he asked god for some strength cause without god we aren’t anything
Wow! What a testament! Amazing story.
Praying for both men, each facing their own health problems, a very speedy recover. I love FGF. ❤️🙏
Such a wonderful story and how God used this man! You could just feel God’s presence in his life!
Such a lovely humble christian man. He stepped up to the call.
God bless this man for saving another mans life. ❤️
What a blessing he is to our World. You are very humble sir. Many blessings to you.
beautiful story. thank you.
.. ...my sweetheart, my wife....
Says it all. Good man.
Old nurse here. If this Wonderful gentleman had not answered Gods call, and done what he did, for that long, that man would not have been salvageable. You were indeed within a Miracle. Bless you for answering Gods call. “Is it I Lord?” should be a hymn for you. ❤
Nate Eaton you are one blessed man! You get to meet all these great people including this man that saved this workers life. I do not live in idaho (yet) but i will tell you i will be definitely be moving to east Idaho shortly. I have been watching you and the people of east Idaho for years and can not think of a better place to spend the start of my retirement amongst the wonderful people of east Idaho. GOD BLESS!
I'm so glad he was called to save this man. I am so glad that his family doesn't have to deal with the loss of him. Both of them have been blessed by this.
Thank you Nate. Love all of your segments. God Bless everyone involved
My mom has long haul covid, and it's so bad she can't do hardly anything for herself right now. Bless this man for what he did, and being so humble about it.
I have been taught CPR...however have never had to use it.....what an angel from heaven this man is....hope everyone involved has a long happy healthy life
Wow.... had Brad not listened to that inner voice telling him go look again, things would have turned out so different. What a lesson for EVERYONE to listen if you hear that inner voice. You are a blessing sir.
He’s a hero.
No matter your condition, God can use you for His work. Honestly brought me to tears by him giving honor to God.
What a blessing this man is.
Amen & Glory to God🙏
I have long-haul covid. It's horrible. It's amazing he was able to do compressions despite it. It's a tiring thing to do for a healthy person. I wish him well and that he recovers
Outstanding man. I pray that he recovers quickly so they can enjoy there dinner. God bless you sir and thank you for being you.
Wow you are a true hero ❤🙏 from Texas his family and friends God works in mysterious ways ❤....
Wow! There is nothing impossible with Jesus. So happy everything turned out positively. Praise God!
A true hero God bless him
Brad, prayers for your recovery from long Covid. God bless you for helping save that man’s life.
Wow, the only reason he was even there to intervene is because he has a genuine concern for other human beings and went to check and look to make sure the man bending down was alright. Many people would stand there going "what?" when someone can't speak English or just call 911 and stand at a distance, especially during this weird time with the pandemic. He is truly an asset to his neighborhood.
God bless these people both. Folks 1 minute of performance of CPR is exhausting God's hand was in this. Such a humble God believing man💪🏽🙏💖🐝from Bakersfield California.
I wish this gentlemen was my neighbor!! He needs some big hugs!!
What a guy! God bless him. I pray that his own problems are cleared up very quickly
Such a nice Person.
Wow, what a man. ' My sweetheart, my wife". 💕
You were exactly where you were meant to be, and you listened. God blessed you with what you needed when you took that first step of faith. Thank you for your selfless example and for filling our hearts in knowing that there are people like you. Now, it is our turn to pray for you and your family. God, you know this man and you know his needs and you love him. I pray today for his healing and restore strength and good health. I know you will bless him for his leap of faith and for giving what he could to a complete stranger. Thank you for he and his family and thank you Jesus. AMEN.
Amen!!!
Amen!
Thank you, Pam, for your fine prayer comment. Blessings to you and yours from No. California.
I love these so much. Honestly, after last Christmas, this channel hadn't popped up anymore and I had forgotten about it! I'm glad this came across my feed today
Praying over Mr. Brad!! What a humble, really great man!!! You are loved!!!
I live in England, and I look forward to Fridays to be able to watch your FGF segment. Thank you for always making me feel good about the world by showing those heroes in your community.
Such a wonderful, humble and emotional gentleman! He was chosen to saved that life. Hope he gets better himself. Amen 🙏🏻
Every compression you give is staving off certain death for only that brief moment, so, to give another human enough compressions that almost ten minutes consumes is absolutely heroic and beyond amazing. Someone has their husband/father/son/brother in their living world right now because this weakened man found the strength to carry on and not give up on another.
Great Job 👏🏻 thank you for helping him, go get some therapy as well. I feel your pain, I’ve done CPR and it takes a toll, FOR YEARS!
Love this story!
Brad sounds exhausted, praying for him. Thank you for listening to the voice of the Lord!
God used this special man to help save this mans life!!!! Godbless and its so refreshing to hear something good for a change💕💕🙏🙏💕💕
What an absolutely beautiful man.
I've been trying to recover from Long Haul Covid for over a year. Covid put me so close to death that my wife, a head nurse in the Emergency Department, left the hospital to prepare the family for my death. Only be the grace of God working through the medical staff and my family did I survive. God bless this man and you for recognizing his deed.
bless this beautiful man for what he did Thank you kind Sir. We are praying you have a full recovery from covid and get back to your old self as soon as possible I hope the poor man that went into cardiac arrest has speedy recovery and all of them are in our thoughts and prayers
God Bless this man! Such a selfless thing of him to do even when he’s not feeling well. ❤️
Thank you 🙏😇 you're a good person ♥️.🤗🌹🌹🌹
What an amazing man. Yes, he's correct, God used him as a tool at the right time. ❤️ 🙏🏽
God bless you sir. Love from Dubai 💕
God bless you from dubai.
Bless this man .. with people like him humanity may reign in this country once more.
Thanks Nate Eaton. Lot of sadness in news but this is beautiful episode. So moving. Amazing. Good job onyour CPR! Sir!💕✌️

Incredible story of humanity. I wish MSM would watch and learn from this. The whole Country would benefit.
And thanks x1000 to East Idaho News for what you do. I’m an American living in Canada and watch as much of your offerings as I can. You all are the best, second to none.
MSM offers very little truth.
@@billwilson5341 Define "truth".
Good Lord, I cried like a baby watching this Video. It is Awesome what God could do thru this Earthly Angel. Thank You Kind Sir for being the Helpful person You are. May God Bless You in Your Recovery.
God is Great and this is proof! 🙏🏻❤️ I hope the patient improves rapidly and that Brad will also fully recover from his illness! Kind, humble and a very special person. Godspeed! 🙏🏻💯❤️
Such a sweet story. God Bless this wonderful man.
What a great man!
This is a true American hero, who truly cares about other people…. THIS IS AMERICA!!!
Wonderful. Yes, we all thank God for men like this kind and humble man.
What a gentleman and so humble thank you for doing this report on him we hardly hear about hero’s anymore it’s usually shootings and bad stuff nice to see there’s still good people in the world
Praise the Lord, God bless Brad , and the other gentleman who helped save the man’s life. Such a heartwarming story. Thank you Nate , for sharing these wonderful Feel Good Fridays , as well as your Secret Santa , videos, and Regular News reporting. God bless you too.
Wow what a touching story. God was really looking out for both of them. He gave the strength to one guy to help save the other guys life. I believe in miracles and this story just proved that they do happen.
Wow Mr. Pearson, the PT, is a hero. I hope he has recovered from COVID. I can't imagine doing CPR for 8-10 minutes by yourself. I've only done it for up to 2 to 3 minutes at a time in a CPR class, and that was tiring. Blessings to this Good Samaritan.
That's a good neighbor and a sweet man
Well done Sir 👏 I'm sure the man who's life you saved is grateful but just so you know, we are all thankful for you and what you did!
My wife and I witnessed a man passing away yesterday at the car wash . We felt terrible that we couldn’t help. We are planning on getting re-educated on CPR
He listened to God’s voice and saved a family from tragedy. Hero!
I bet he was all kinds of exhausted and sore as heck. Hero!
My sweetheart, my wife ❤️ What a remarkable man!
Speechless, what a blessing
Lots of beautiful people in this world and Brad is one of them , nothing greater than the gift of life .
Wow.. thanks to you!!! You’re a hero saving that wonderful man . I hope he makes a great recovery ❤
This man is the hero the world needs. May your life be long and may you always have good luck Sir and may the man you saved recover well.
There are angels everywhere!
What a wonderful man. God Bless you Brad.
You have no idea how much these Feel Good Friday's mean.
To know goodness and humbleness still exist in our world. 😂
Makes me want to move to East Idaho!
So grateful that he listened to the still small voice. The world needs more people willing to do so.
More than one life was saved here.
God bless you, Mr. Brad. What a fine and outstanding citizen you are. Thank you, sir!
What a beautiful soul. May he make a full recovery himself.
May this compassionate man and his family be blessed with the best of health and many more blessings! ❤🎉❤
CPR is exhausting! I'm a firefighter and we will do compressions for 2 minutes before switching persons. This is truly amazing.
This guy needs a visit from Secret Santa for sure!! Maybe a cruise for him and his wife!! I live in NC and we love these videos, Keep up the good work!!
That's the guy you want for a neighbor! Bravo sir!
I love feel Good Friday’s 🥺❤️ Thank you for highlighting these beautiful amazing people.
God knew this gentleman and the one in the field would rise to being an instrument in His hands to save the afflicted man. There are no coincidences. God Bless the first responders ETC. May God heal both men from head to toe in Jesus's/YHWH's name 💜❤🙌🙏
