Just a nitpick: The panelist said Love has had 18 starts. He's actually had 20

      They don’t include playoff starts

@@TheMaintenanceMan94 I'm aware. But considering what that stat was being used for in the conversation, they should've included the playoff starts

    20 starts including playoffs...

The way Love evolved at reading defenses and going to the right play and WR was amazing late in the year!! Then prior to the Super Bowl he was on with Micah Parsons on his show, I swear Michah fell in love with Love during that interview!! What Aaron Jones was doing to the Cowboys mistified Parsons and Love explained it!! Go watch that interview and you see what level of knowledge Love has for running an offense!! Pay him NOW while the rest of the team is affordable!!

10ve has been in the building for 4 years, Gute moved up to draft him. Everyone ignores the fact that the slow start had much to do with rookies at WR and TE. Once everyone settled in you saw what they’re capable of. Capable isn’t a guarantee so you have to apply work ethic to capability. I’m sure they know exactly what to expect from Jordan’s work ethic.

Fans are dumb, so are analysts. We've only seen him play for 18 games. The Packers have been watching and talking to him every day for 4 years now. They know what they are doing and they know more then we do. I trust them to make the right decision

I like the incentive contract for a guy with his ceiling and lack of consecutive body of work. I like a J love deal like 48mil with a 5mil bonus for playoff birth and a 5 mil bonus for Super Bowl birth. Well that’s my two cents 😂

Trevor lawrence been a starter for 3 years and have only missed 1 game in his entire nflt career, but started in every single one he played in. He has been solid for a team that have had only 2 winning record in over a decade prior to drafting him and this past 2 season alone they went 9-8. His pay might be a little over the top,but the team has been improving and he's reliable. We have not seen enough of Jordan to pay him that kind of money. I like the kid and have been rooting for him since he pretty much got drafted, but we need to see more.

PAY THE MAN!!! Yesterday!!! Before that $ amount turns into 65$ mil instead of 55$ mil!!! Love ALREADY is FOR SURE top 8 based off last season!!! And he did all of that WITHOUT A BONAFIDE #1 WR!!! and if love was wise and put his ego aside like mahomes and brady did, he’d take 45 ish million so we can STILL add talent to this team and be in contention to win it ALL for years to come!!! I hate how every new QB that signs THINKS they need to re set the market when both Lawrence and Goff aren’t even top 10!!! Top 15 sure but they did NOT play better than Love last season!!!

it kills me to hear "he only had half a season where he played well" .... okay, that's true, but with "only half a season" he still put up over 4000 yards, finished 2nd in the league in TDS while being surrounded by ROOKIES, and had a very solid QBR, TD/INT ratio through those last 8 games. so imagine had he strung the entire season to that same degree, i highly doubt we'd still be questioning if Jordan Love is worth the money. if that's what i can get out of half a season, i'll take it. cause when he hits his stride, that 16 game stretch is gonna be mind blowing. 🧀

Packer fans need to really consider a few things before making Love a top 3 QB in money. Just look at their strength of schedule last year. They only played 4 teams that finished with a winning record and 2 of those were only one game over .500 at 9-8. Rodgers last season. with a much harder strength of schedule, they were 8-9 and played the Lions in their last game. Last season they finished 9-8 playing the Bears in their last game. With a more difficult schedule this season we should get a clearer vision of what Love is or can be. The margin when it comes to how much they give him could easily be the best decision in Packers history or the worst. People should remember Majkowski had one terrific season where he was top 3 in the NFL. Imagine if they would have committed everything to him after that.

It’s also that he’s such an amazing person and they are coming off of dealing with Aaron Rodgers so he is worth the money as a complete well rounded player and team member.

So what if GB had traded AR a year earlier and JLove now had two full seasons under his belt and finished the 2023 just as he did. Everyone of you would be saying pay the man now. It was not his fault that GB did not move on from AR earlier and give him more snaps before this contract extension was staring them in the face. They sat him for 3 years and when they finally gave him the reigns he progressed throughout the year into an elite QB we all wanted and expected. Other contemporary QBs have a larger sample size but their production is no better than what JLove did and they are getting their payday. So this whole argument about his small sample size means he shouldn’t get a big payday now is weak. JLove and his agent have the leverage on the Packers in this. Gutey knew that this scenario was possible. Give the guy only 1 year of snaps before the last year of his contract and he rises to the occasion and now you can’t risk him hitting the open market next year. They should have closed the deal in May if they wanted to save money.

They ignore the fact that Love has been in the "building" for a lot longer than the 18 starts. The Packers know who he is.

I don't love making Jordan Love the highest paid QB after one season, BUT!! The longer you wait, the higher the contract has to be. So you might as well pay him now. Hell, they should have paid him last year. They could have gotten him for half. Might as well get it done now.

The Green Bay Packers biggest strength was their edge-rushing quartet of Rashan Gary, Preston Smith, Lucas Van Ness, and Kingsley Enagbare. Rashan Gary and Preston Smith have been reliable performers, and Lucas Van Ness could be primed for takeoff in Year 2 after a strong finish to his rookie year. The weakness, according to Clay, was the linebackers, a group with some “uncertainty” after the release of De’Vondre Campbell and the day 2 additions of Edgerrin Cooper in the 2nd round and Ty’Ron Hopper in the 3rd round. Our former 1st-round draft pick Quay Walker is moving to middle linebacker in the new 4-3 defensive scheme under Jeff Hafley. He’s been a “tackling machine,” Clay said, while noting his poor Pro Football Focus grades. Of course, the Green Bay Packers didn’t have a true #1 wide receiver last year and Jordan Love was as good as any quarterback in the NFL despite that perceived problem. Now, all of these non-#1 wide receivers Christian Watson, Romeo Doubs, Jayden Reed, Dontayvion Wicks, Bo Melton, and Malik Heath have an additional year of seasoning. Go Pack Go 💚💚💛💛

There’s 2 ways to look at it in my opinion. 1, wait until the end of next season to truly see if is still as good as he was last year so they now he’s worth every penny, but the caveat is that they could have to pay him more than they already have to pay now. 2, pay him now so you have to pay him less but still take a little bit of a gamble that he’s still just as good as he was last season. Go Pack Go!!!💛💚🤍💛💚🤍
