I never knew you could look through the window and watch the ship move on the ocean. Can you actually reach your destination while doing that, since it moves on the real map?
yes, but at some point the cutscene stops and you have to sleep to arrive in lilycove
I'm happy you did that edit with metal gear music because I also had this vision of sneaking past those sailors when I first played it back in my childhood days haha. I also felt the same way the first time I snuck into the Team Galatic HQ in Veilstone City like I'm a spy trying to take down a crime syndicate lol 😂

Something funny. Hoenn is the only region that has changed it's biggest city 3 TIMES!
Other ones are usually at least semi-consistent. Like Sinnoh is always Jubilife, Goldenrod is always Johtos, Kanto is either Celadon or Saffron depending on game.
In Hoenn? In the original Ruby and Sapphire, it's Slateport that's the biggest. In Emerald, it's Lilycove that's the biggest. In ORAS, it's Mauville that's the biggest.
What changes from those three games tho?? Hasnt it always been lilycove?
The thing that changes is the number of people living in each city.

@@andrei4617Lilycove grew in Emerald with all the Contest Halls being amalgamated and a couple extra NPCs, while Slateport shrunk as it lost the Contest Hall there.
And in ORAS they decided to make Mauville into the new Lumiose because it's in the middle
Small thing you forgot to mention is that after you get Surf, mr. Briney relocate to the building where they are making the ship, just another small story detail thats easy to miss if you don't go look for him

Latios is my favorite Legendary, and I was so upset that I couldn't get my hands on an e-reader or an Eon Ticket. I tried so hard.
Fortunately, getting one in ORAS is easy thanks to the StreetPass. I got my Eon Ticket that way.

If you can get the e-reader you can print dotcodes like the Eon Ticket to use with it using a normal inkjet printer. Or with an Ezflash or similar you can put an e-reader rom and a save file with the Eon Ticket already scanned in.
I love how you talk about these obscure facts. Also since I know all this already I turn your videos on and listen while I walk to and from work reminiscing of my first generation of games.
Mr. Briney just needed Team Magma out of the way so he wouldn't lose control of the waters of Hoenn. Imagine what he would have done if Aqua had flooded the world. Maybe that was his plan all along...

If you’re able to get your hands on an e-reader, there’s someone on eBay that recreated the eon ticket. I can confirm it works and is worth the price.

Nice vid👌. Although, you forgot to mention how Mr. Brinney returns the favor to you by taking the player to Far Away Island, where Mew is. It’s a cool moment that almost seems like it should’ve been part of the base game. His knowledge of the island is also referenced in the Pokémon Adventures manga.
Seeing that the SS Tidal does go through the routes to the east of Slateport because of this, it makes you wonder *how* it gets through Pacifidlog Town to get to Lilycove...
It's a seastead, maybe they just pull the houses to make way for passing ships
I remember when i first arrived in Lilycove i would always check out the SS Tidal to see if i could finally board it and when it said it was'nt ready i would still check it out whenever i did something important

5:20 wait I thought you could glitch yourself the three tickets and the old sea map? I Know you can't do the same with the berries because you do need to scan those in the game what for the items to even exist as a program but for the four key items I thought they were already in the game you and you can glitch them with a zero HP glitch?

Not a major complaint, but it irked me a bit when you mention "Ruby, Sapphire, and Emerald" but never "Gold, Silver, AND Crystal", just "Gold and Silver" 😕
