I don't know why but the last couple chapters are reminding me so much of devilman. The house on fire, a mob of people carrying spears and pitchfork, and accusing a little girl of being a devil. I really really hope that nayuta does not share the same fate as miki makimura.

Welp fujimoto you did a good job with the snippet of fumiko’s backstory. I completely overlooked the fact that nayuta tried killing her a few chapters ago, and thought she would help denji by saving nayuta in this moment. Unfortunately she chose public safety, whose goal was to prevent denji from transforming, and now that he has that particular mission has failed.
Barem’s ability to endure through damage that would easily kill normal people is unsettling, only surpassed by his ability to get what he wants despite being in a bad position. Also on the subject of Fumiko, I was shocked by her actions in this chapter like many others were, as well as put off by how cruel her words on nayuta’s house and pets being burnt to the ground. However, I I feel that her actions were motivated by the fact that nayuta tried to kill a few chapters ago and that her insistence that they go to a shelter instead of to the apartment being ignored, and this led to Denji’s transformation and rampage that caused the civilian mob to attack. It doesn’t justify what she did or said, but it makes her choice to retreat more understandable as everything is out of control. The thing she said about the pets was still cruel though.
Maybe this is the bridge to the hell arc, the they will kill nayuta, denji going rampage and fami come in and told denji to go to hell save nayuta and maybe found wild power there
Reze is definetely coming next chapter to save Nayuta (copium). I mean she is a hybrid shes not rlly dead (extreme copium) theres still a chance of her appearing (super mega copium)

She was never built up to be a good person like what are you reading Her introduction is tricking Denji in the performing fellatio on a corpse and laughing at him, then proceeding to take him to a karaoke on with the promise of sex just a lie to him, and then not do her job, which is to defend him and have him defend a bunch of arm to silence by himself. Which Yoshida reprimands or for, but she treated like a joke then during the sword, devils introduction she’s sitting on his back that should tell you everything you need to know about her at the she admits to more sexual misconduct in crime when Denji confront her, she doesn’t apologize she seems more upset about the fact that you got caught, then proceeds to trail off into how her parents died because of him and how she hates him… Her backstabbing wasn’t cheap. It was foreshadowed she never liked Denji to begin with. She was not develop to be a good character. She was not particularly deep, because we already have someone with dead parents because of chainsaw man in the form of Asa, who does changes a character Denji helps her change because of his patience with her, Fumiko is different because she doesn’t care that Dungy try to protect her from Nyutah, she’s 22 knew, the exact hardships denjj went through and she simply doesn’t care because her parents are dead even after realizing he’s just a kid it means nothing to her Her feelings towards Dungy are empty and false. 1:40 I was happy to see her come back during the burning house mini arc, but after this chapter, I really really don’t like her and sent her back to abyss I’m OK with her running away. Fumiko is not out of the story, she betrayed nayuta but that doesn't mean her character was for nothing, if she died or was never brought up again then yeah I agree, but it's literally just a single chapter, if anything it makes her character have more depth the next time she's shown we have to wait and see lol the writing is great.
