In fact they are all very dope pairs, what I love about custom is the fact that you can wear them while being able to see that it's a custom and at the same time thinking that they're factory made if it makes sense, and they all get into this category.

Also just a question, when painting on canvas shoes, do you typically use a finisher? Possibly mixed with some paint softener, or will that just make the shoe too stiff?

Hey DCF, I’m interested in having a shoe customized that I myself am not interested in trying to do myself and I have a guy who’s charging a full price (over 200) for a pair of sneakers that for the most part don’t need much customizing, just one color detailing over the whole shoe. I don’t want to pay full price & I’m willing to find someone else if needed. But I’m just not sure if asking him for a cheaper price is not respecting his work or not? Do u allow customers to negotiate?
I think it really matters how you go about asking as to not be disrespectful in any way. As you know theres always someone cheaper but thats not always a good thing. I wouldn't be mad if somebody potentially asked for a lower price assuming they're willing to accept its the artist choice to then just simply say no to their offer.

Zack’s is great and I love the Tiki approach, but i feel beside the Tiki elements he fell a bit short in his execution. The flowers don’t match the bold look of the tiki’s (softer and blended doesn’t work if you don’t treat everything in that same style) and the skulls are too basic/childish looking. A lot of mixes on designs... but for 16 there’s a shit ton of potential. The bg color was good too.
honestly, i think that the childish look to the skulls was actually pretty cool and in my opinion, the tiki matched the flowers. I mean Hawai is very tropical.
