if u guys didnt notice all of the quotes in blood on the IT custom were phrases pennywise drew in blood throughout the movies. I liked that a lot but I had to vote for the all in one jordan 1s with zipper the pennywise pop up and zipper art was too good

tite_customs killed it! There pair definitely have my vote! The portraits and the use of the Nike swoosh as a machete AND a tree branch looked sick to top it off the designs inside of the zippers killed it especially the Pennywise design all around a great pair of 👟
I don’t think he realized how smart the turquoise and red shoes were, the swoosh became Jason’s sword and the zipper was stitching in chucky and was the chain links in the chainsaw

I voted for the Air Frank's just bc of the different character choice. It was out there and as you see no other custom included him. Ig you can same thing for the girl from The Ring but to create a whole Frankenstein shoe with that creative of a take was a bold move and for that, you earned my vote. I have to vote for the vans. Overall presentation, on point. Perfect packaging. Shoe details were well executed. The two most important parts of sneaker customising imo are factory finishing and wear ability. These were the only pair that covered that. I'm not a fan of portraiture on shoes no matter how good it's done. Sneakers should look like sneakers. Respect to all contenders though for mad skills. Frank's got my runner up vote btw.

You can look for shoes at thrift shops, goodwill ect.. I found a lot of nice shoes in or on trash cans.. including a white pair of AirForce Ones, a black pair of AirForce Ones hi-tops, and a black pair of Ewing's with the gummy soles.. (+more!) All in great condition!! Idk if they would approve of you looking in/around other people's trash/dumpster diving.. but you don't have to tell them. You can tell them you found them, or a neighbor gave them to you. Either would be true, minus the details
I voted for the Child's Play Vans bc they were the most wearable and creative. It was those or the Air Franks. I choose the Vans in terms of which was more wearable AND creative. If it was just creative then it would have been the Franks. I gotta be honest, I'm a little disappointed in the selection in terms of who was chosen. I feel as though the two that I just mentioned fit in terms of what I look for which is DESIGN! ( it's DeJesus' competition so you probably looked for other criteria) Many people get so caught up in details and portraits and how much the artist can cram onto a shoe that they don't really give thought to design. It is a 3 dimensional object and one needs to think about it in those terms. Were some of the artistry on display good? Yeah, it was......if it was on a 2D surface. I just don't agree with flattening a shoe with 2D work. I notice people are often impressed with painterly work that would look great on a canvas or a flat board done on a shoe. What about the different panels of the shoe? What about the fact that it's basically sculpture in the round?What about composition? Now, was there some creativity involved, yup sure was but in totality some things could have been edited out for better DESIGN work. I know many will read this and think, "oh, this guy is hating or what is he talking about" but it's called criticism....constructive, no hate involved. Can one REALLY say that just putting character work on the side of a shoe is good design? I mean be honest, does it look professional or does it look hood? I realize customs comes from the streets but they can be done with a since of sophistication to them as well.
