Seeing this is why I love competitive smash bros. Two humble guys who love the game and their characters, absolutely grind it out week in and out in the lab, and having fun and schmooving. Top tier first to 10 👌
@Clippy Understand that alot of wins come from matchup experience. Riddles is also quite vocal about this, as it is how he gets wins with Kazuya, cause people rarely fight good Kazuya's. It's also reasonable that Griffin repeats his point at the end, as conclusions are usually drawn at the end. MKleo even backed up that statement by saying Griffin doesnt know how to di Byleth's up-b, which is used a lot throughout the fight.
@Clippy I'm saying that the second time he said it was at the end of the video, where they draw conclusive points, which can often lead to repetition. Griffin isn't the must humble man alive, but he isn't arrogant either.
It's crazy. This is just madness. Fatality is so good at reading people and their habits. And obviously so is MKLeo. But now that they have faced off, it's clear to see why Leo is the best. Good golly.
Yeah what I noticed was Byleth has a lot of bait moves and movement which Leo really implements. Charge cancel, b reverses, ledge trumps, drag downs, run off ledge nair back for drop off fair kill confirm like when I was watching I realized Leo was getting more out of his baits than Fatality. Fatality was getting some amazing reads Byleth just being a bit harder to edge guard than Falcon at that level play due to the stall side b and reverse edge guard possibility where Leo does not have to worry about Falcons up b off stage because of his disjoints and up b grab spike. Also Byleth's nair was poking the crap out of Falcons shield a lot.
Watching Leo is like getting to see Michelangelo carve David in real time. His craftsmanship, skill, and dominance always blow my mind. Fatality had a pretty darn good performance against the world's best, too!
As much as I LOVE the game play, the commentary and hearing both your thoughts during your interactions makes this so much more fun to watch. Thank you for recording this.
@@VirgoTheEditor not at all. If it was broken itd be banned frlm competitive play like meta knight in brawl era, if it was better than most other choices there would be a lot of players taking this character to grand finals like bayo in smash4
@@mastersword131 Let me defend my point. He has alot more setups then alot of other characters. He might not be broken enough to be banned but the man can load a fully charged b then cancel and smash attack at the same time and then all his neutrals are multiple hits with no land lag. I mean if that aint something to talk about idk what is. Not many characters have all those options except zoning characters like palutena and even she come out beat against this man. His up B is literally impossible to escape with proper control and thats not near half the list that can do that and this game got hella characters.
This F10 gave me a couple observations: 1. Poor movement speed cripples a number of characters (ex. Ganondorf). Byleth has a slow run speed but is very good. Does Byleth's speed matter when he's plinking at your shield with a huge multi-hit nair, or edgeguarding you with up-B? His moves have wide coverage and good range, allowing him to be where he needs to be at the right times. That's what speed in a platform fighter is really all about, not just the raw run/airspeed. Realizing this might change how I think of some characters in terms of their potential. 2. Fatality had a few matches where the result wasn't that close, but even to the end he kept it competitive. I hope it's encouraging to him that, even though he lost 2-10, he's still in the conversation as a great player who deserves to be at these big events. I imagine it's a lot like the Roy matchup for him, where he needs to grind it out more, understand the character better, and eventually it'll just be a contest of wits between the players Leo vs Fatality more than the characters Byleth vs Falcon.
Actually he had a talk with Cosmos and Charles, and in some point he talked about exactly what you are saying. It was a long video and I don't remember the exact time, but I here it is if you're interested ua-cam.com/video/6z17as4rd80/v-deo.html

its not about learning, its a mixup. leo can choose to fast fall or not at any time and mix up how many hits of nair hit fatality's sheild, causing him to drop sheild for a punish at the wrong time. fataility probably knows all the possible timings for how many tics byleth nair can hit on sheild, but leo is just really good at mixing his options. plus you have to take into account that some shield poke.
