- Hey folks. As requested, here is a video with step by step instructions on how to install the SimRacingFix Clubsport V3 Brake Reposition and Clutch Delete kit.
This kit allows you to turn your Fanatec Clubsport V3 pedals from a three pedal configuration to a two pedal configuration without the clutch. This is perfect for those of us who mostly race GT3s and Formula cars that traditionally don't have a clutch pedal. This also helps with knee pain and comfort over longer driving stints as your legs aren't shifted over for long periods of time.
You can purchase the kit from me here: www.etsy.com/l...
Leave me a comment if you have any questions!
Recently purchased from your eBay shop. Took me about 2 hours total to take the pedals off my rig, disassemble/reassemble and remount. Everything is working as expected, video was super helpful to follow along the way!
Amazing video! This helps me ALOT! When I got to the end, putting the side piece in I thought I had it wrong because it wasn't perfectly lined up. I actually stopped watching the video right before you said in the video not to worry about that. I was racking my brain wondering where I went wrong? Thought maybe the parts printed wrong. Then I finished the video to see how yours lined up and pow!
GREAT video. Easy DIY due to the video!!! I 100% recommend heating up the red middle screw! I put a heat gun on it for about 3-4 min..the bold came out super easy.
Thanks for the video. This really helps me alot.
Thanks for sharing your stl files and taking the time to put together the videos, much appreciated!
I would love to 3d Print these spacers at my house. Did you say the STL files are shared?
Thanks so much for the video. This was incredibly helpful.
I didn't order from you but used a 3d print guide from thingyverse and installed with your video, it is great and all is very clear.. Thanks for everything
Where does the race bar in middle come from. The spacer kit or comes with original pedal kit. My v3 arrives tuesday
Great job man! Kit works beautifully and braking has gotten so much easier now! Cheers!
So glad to hear it!
I need mine to come already! Didn't order from you but wish you were still in the biz
Just ordered from you on ebay. Arriving Norway in not that long i hope. Thank you so much!
As far as loosening the fasteners, I would apply a penetrating fluid in conjunction with a freeze spray on the head of the screw. This will ensure the fluid will be drawn into the threads. Let it penetrate over night. Clean the head with a wood grain alcohol before attempting to turning the screw out. Applying heat is the wrong way to go, as it expands the aluminum and will actually make it more difficult to turn the fastener.
Helps if you’ve actually tried doing something before saying it’s wrong and won’t work. If you heat the bolts they will absolutely, 100% DEFINITELY be heaps easier to remove than trying to do so with no heat. The thread locking compound is what’s holding them in so tight and ALL thread locking compounds break down when heated. Moreover, the amount of expansion that occurs is absolutely minuscule!! It’s nowhere near enough to make them expand to the point that the threads actually bind up.
As I said, don’t knock it without trying it. Anyway, the reason most people have problems is due to using shitty L shaped hex wrenches. If you use good quality hex bit sockets and a 3/8” ratchet, shouldn’t be an issue.
Just installed on my rig. Worked great
Thanks, It is really helpful !!
Just ordered one from your Etsy shop! Thank you!!
Sick! Let us know how it works out.
@@simracingfix5686 just came in today. Doing the install this weekend. I see they are labeled F1 - F4, and B1 - B4. I assume F for front, and B for back, and the numbers are the order they go in, from right to left?
@@matthewbyrd398 yep. And the reference being if you’re looking at the pedals head on the same as if you were driving.
@@simracingfix5686 just got it done, and ran few laps. LOVE IT!! So much less effort required, easier to modulate, and of course trail braking is much easier! THANK YOU!!!
The spacers inner diameter needs to be greater than 16mm in-order for there to be some clearance with the shaft, the model has an inner diameter of 16.5mm. The lengths of the spacers are as follows:
1 x 36.25mm
2 x 40.25mm
1 x 42.25mm
3 x 78.75mm
1 x 84.75mm
What do you mean buddy
@@puresim316nosimracingnolif3 he Meade means your file is duval
Un amigo mío hoy pidió un kit completo para mis v3!!! Para valencia España!!!! Este video es oro para mi gracias y deseando que me llegue el kit para instalarlo!! Saludos y felices fiestas!!
Gracias amigo! Espero que ya este ahi.
@@simracingfix5686 si ya instalado de lujo!!!
Yep buying this thanks! Now if I can find a stronger spring for the throttle.
THX for this Video!
are you still Printing 3D spacers for V3s...? i'm very interested !!!
What is the size of the side screws on the frame? Need to replace the shitty aluminum ones.
Does the support bar come with the pedals or with the spacer kit ?
Hi, I'm having serious kneepain with my current pedals, I'm thinking about buying the v3's with this kit, could you please tell me the exact distance between the center of the brake and throttle pedal? thanks in advance
Hey there. You’re looking at around 205mm or 8” from center to center of the pedal faces. Let me know if that helps.
Hi, do you know the specification of the bolts on the side? I have threaded one of mine, so I need to drill it out and then replace it.
Thanks a lot!! :) have a great day
You too!
Please I need to extend the shaft so I can push the brake pedal and clutch pedal do you know where I can buy the shaft separately thanks and also do you know the diameter of the shaft is it made of aluminum or stainless steel thanks
Is it possible to do it with v3 inverted?
Are these spacers still available ?
Excelente… una pregunta, como se llama el kit que usas para los tornillos?
Are you still making these for the V3 pedals
Some people have said he isn’t but there are several sellers on eBay selling them and they’re also on Etsy and aliexpress and thingyverse. Between all those places you should be able to find them no probs.
Are you shipping these to Denmark?
Yes! I ship all over the world. Etsy is the easiest place for international purchases. etsy.me/3HwOQvp
Thank u ❤
Will this work with the inverted v3 pedals?
Hey do you remember by any chance the aluminum screw sizes? I know they're M6 but dont know the lenghts. I want to replace them with stainless steel instead of this butter.
Look for some 15mm M6 flange head screws, those should work!
@@simracingfix5686 what about the screw size for the footrest plate?
They’re M4 bolts. Can’t remember the length, about 10mm or so. Just get a ruler and measure them.
could u also remove the clutch and reposition the brake pedal without the spacers? because i don’t have a 3d printer but i still want to reposition the brake like u did
Yes. You can find the spacers for sale here! www.etsy.com/listing/1002369933/fanatec-clubsport-v3-pedal-brake
Meaning you can buy the spacers. You can’t remove the clutch without doing something to fill the remaining space which the spacers accomplish.
@@simracingfix5686 couldn't you just swap the clutch and brake around? The clutch doesn't need to be functioning in the middle but couldn't you just keep it there to take up the space?
@@traviss9059 yes. If you’re an animal. 😂
@@traviss9059hy dear, did you find a way to switch the clutch and brake pedal without spacers? I want to do like you
I want to put mine back to 3 pedal but didn't take note of the sequence or size of the old spacers as I took them off......... does anyone know the right order of the original spacers to take it back to 3 pedal?
Google has failed me
You still need the order of the spacers mate? Lemme know if you do.
Being plastic, have the spacers shown any signs of wear since being installed? I feel like aluminium would be a better material for this.
Hey Aaron. The spacers are not under any load whatsoever so plastic is a perfectly fine application for this. The pedals also have bronze bushings that support the rotation of the pedals which means the spacers don’t move or come in contact with moving parts in any way.
@@simracingfix5686 nice, thanks for the reply! I'll be ordering a set soon!
Hi! I don't have a 3D printer but I actually have some pipe that fits the dimensions of the spacers, I just need to cut it to correct lengths. Can you tell me the lengths of the spacers? Thank you in advance.
Hey. I don’t have the measurements off hand. You can go to Thingiverse and find the files and measure them. It’s pretty specific lengths.
Anybody help mapping the original spacers to the instructions of this mod?
Forgot about that when dismantling 😅
Nice!!!
Do you think this kit would work for the inverted pedals?
No unfortunately. I don’t have access to an inverted pedal set to make spacers.
Where you can buy the good spacers for that ?
www.ebay.com/itm/194024543650
"Don't lose the bushings or else you are screwed." :)
Does this work for v3 Inverted pedals?
It does not unfortunately. I don’t have access to a set to design the spacers and the assembly is different.
I need it but the page is not working
WARNING!! THIS COULD BREAK YOUR PEDALS LIKE MINE!
I found that the spacers needs some filing or trimming in the inner diameter to fit properly (depends on your printing quality). Also, not sure here but when everything is tightened, the pedals movement gets a bit heavier (guessing because the somewhere in the spacers just a bit longer, could be because of my printer).
After assembling back I tried to ensure to put back the pin of the gas pedal to allow for the sensor to read correctly. And after connecting rumble motor & sensor wires I launched the fanatec manager and updated to the latest firmware and tested. Brake and its rumble motor are working. However, gas pedal not showing any signal but the rumble motor is working. I contacted fanatec support and waiting for now, any solution would be appreciated.
Other than these issues your solution seems great.
Update: It seems that doing this way void the warranty. Fanatec refused to take it back under warranty. They told me to send it to them for checking but all under my cost which is frustrating. Anyway my guess is that its a problem with the RJ12 connector in the PCB as I have seen in Fanatec forums, which can happen without any reasons for only disconnecting the sensor hall. Anyone planning to attempt doing this mod just by mindful that the same might happen.

Just saw that video and it could be an issue with the driver/firmware what is causing your problem. Remove the driver from your computer and reinstall it. Than you have to flash the firmware on the pedals again! Hope that would solve your problem without any costs! It's a pity that the support didn't mentioned this solution 😕
So to be fair I don’t think the spacers could break the pedals. With careful disassembly and reassembly there should be no issues. As always, any sort of modification to your equipment should be done at your own risk.
Do u really need a spacer to do this ??
I just move the entire kit to the left on my rig. No spacers required and I keep my clutch pedal for use as a clutch or mapped to anything I want. For example, to mimic the McLaren MP4/12 extra pedal.
The most important parts weren't shown , not explained well
Man these screws don’t budge. I tried heat. I tried knocking them… what gives? Also Fanatec is trash 🗑 for using these screws.
Yeah these screws are butter. I'd love to do this mode but I'm really scared to mess up the screws..
Edit: I managed to remove all of them, just ordered replacement screws on ebay :D
Too far apart
