I liked that Teresa touched on every detail, but I wish she had addressed the back of the quilt and how important it is to have a straight stitch line to make the back lines be straight as well. I ended up actually drawing a stitch line as I had better luck than using the side of my foot. Unfortunately, I miscalculated the center of the backing and came up short on one end with the last strip. Once I figure out to work around that, the binding should be fairly straight forward. I'm so glad to be done with this project! It was painstaking. I love the feel of cuddle, but hate sewing with it. After this project, I put any Minky, Cuddle, etc. that I had in a box for donation.
I just use baking sofa with a damp cloth. It turns into a paste and it hardly needs any pressure sometimes only one or two fingers. It will start to turn brown as it lifts the baked on dirt. I have used this on my stove and many other items like glass baking dishes or sinks. It is in some toothpaste brands too. I would rest a small corner before I do a whole pan though, before I ruin the whole pan. Just a thought. I am sure this was a demo pan not one you use anymore. I find using more expensive baking sheets, they last so much longer and with simply baking soda w/ water. This simple method has kept my pans looking like new without build-up. I have used my finger tip with a little bit of water and baking soda. This will work on small baked on grease and dirt.
I so enjoy watching your tutorials, Teresa❣️ I want to make almost every project. Are the labels for how to care for the blankets available to purchase with several in a package separate from the kits? I am making multiple throws for my family.
Great video...QUESTION: I know to prewash the flannel because of shrinkage BUT I'm not sure about the cuddle. I never have before but never mixed it with flannel either. Our third Great-grandchild will be here late September or early October.🎉😊
You don't need to wash the Cuddle before using it, since it won't shrink, but when you do wash it--wash in cool water, no fabric softeners and dry on low heat. Avoiding the fabric softeners (including dryer sheets) and high heat will make your Cuddle last for years!
Please! I binding the blanket with zig zag stitches and underneath I placed some tissue paper from the toilet paper which I now struggle to remove. Even using tweezers. I put it on otherwise the needle wouldn't proceed. I washed the cover hoping it would come off, but nothing. How could I do? Thanks from Italy!
😮 OMG! Over twenty minutes of spraying and pinning. I would never buy this kit. Either the video needed to be edited or the kit is a pain to put together.
Very patient thorough teacher. Always learn something new when watching your tutorials
.😅😮pķ
😊
You have made sewing with this fabric look so easy. Thank you!
Thanks for the tips on cutting the cuddle for less mess!
Wow, learned a lot about working with cuddle. Double pinning and cutting technique will make working with cuddle so much easier. Thanks
Absolutely beautiful!!
OMG! I'm gonna modify this idea for a swim fundraiser!

Thank you! The labels are not currently available, but they should be later this year. :)

Im surprised that you are using a spray adhesive with anything that will be in close contact with a baby. Seems dangerous.
You could always wash it before giving it away. 😏
