I was there Sunday as well. So happy we have regular great shows locally, Cardboard Promotions does a great job. Cheap to get in and always strong dealers.
I've been going to Doug's shows since I was a kid. He always has full dealer tables, and has been getting some great autograph guests. I saw Oil Can walking around the show before he signed. He was telling people that when he bought baseball cards he'd take the gum, and then just throw the cards out.
Yeah. I need to look in to a good biography about Doby. He was all alone in his league, and that should count for more. The Indians didn't even retire his number until the 90's.
Some great pickups. I went right out to look at the Helmar stuff. I am PC'ing George Washington and picked up the Mount Washington home for under $2. Thanks for sharing the info on that series.
Some fantastic pickups! I agree that both White and Flood should be in the HOF. Love the Flood RC! Love the Doby, that is such a sweet card, congratulations on adding that beauty to the collection.
Thank you! The Flood is really nice and I got it at a good price - $16 I think. There is a small crease on the bottom but it presents really nicely. Glad to have it.
Love the cardboard promotion company. I've sent many items to Doug Keatings private signings, the guy is a true professional. Cool pickups to add to your pc. Thanks for sharing. 👍
He's definitely down. The Comps for his rookies are like $1-$2. But I still feel the 2020 love of those rookies. I can't believe that I've never ventured over to Revere's house. I've been a few blocks away in the North End, but just didn't go. For shame!!!
I went to the 2022 National and this will be my second. It will probably be my last for at least a couple years because I probably won’t travel to Chicago and also to be able to build up a budget. I will say getting to meet all the other content Creators is an awesome and unique experience but card wise , just as much fun can be had at other shows. Flood and White should be in. Great value box pickups. Congrats on the beautiful Doby!
I think you got some great pickups, and yes Larry should get more attention than he does. Did you know the same can be said about Football players one of the first black players was the same year as Jackie, but we don't hear about him.
I love the assortment of cards all over the place. Also feel that its very healthy to get modern stuff for cheap after they been around for a few years while most people overspend on whatever is hot right now. All while spending the bigger bucks on older cards that won't lose their value overnight.
Looks like a fun show! Great pickups, love that Doby.
I'm stoked about the Doby. It's been on my list for a couple years. I feel like 4 is a solid grade for a 1951 card. Thanks for watching Stuke!!

@@Bostnfn LOL Oil Can is a 1 of 1.
Excellent Doby. I agree, he's understand for all he suffered

Great pickups, congrats. Thanks for sharing
Great show pickup. Love the image on the Pierce top gold cards. Awesome Gooden autos and of course the Doby!
You had some great luck at the show.
Thanks! It was a lot of fun. My back was dying by the end of dime box hunting, though. I can't imagine how I'd fair at the National.
That was one of heck of a show for you for sure. Love the Dwight Gooden's.

Nice get! It's what this community's all about - sharing information. The Mount Vernon card is really nice, and is a definite winner.

@@Bostnfn Also enjoyed some canoli and cookies from Bova too.
Great pickups. Flood should for sure be in the hall and that’s a great looking example.
Curt Flood definitely deserves to be in the Hall of fame. My feeling is he never will but he changed the game forever.

70 tables. Good mix of vintage and modern.
I was at the Dedham show also, sweet Doby and Flood cards
Great pickups. That Flood looks amazing. How big is this show?
