I have got to say that quality of your videos baffles me, everything is top-notch; animation, writing, editing and narration. Great work, thank you!
thank you, glad you like them :)
the only but (a very minor one) is that latin pronunciation is lacking.
I'm loving it.... Syntagma's vids that is
@@agusti92 how do you know what a dead language actually sounds like? I'm curious are you a time traveler?
@@solomonayub6464 Because its a dead language, not an extinct one.
I've been living in Lleida, formerly Ilerda, for years. Major works had been made in early 1900s in order to prevent floods of the Segre (formerly Sicoris) river to the city, but I remember the last floods in 1982 with a dead toll of 14 people. The river had been a natural protection to the city, just as many other roman cities, but also a logistics way to transport things up and down and a source of prosperity. Totally recommend visiting the city! Great graphics!!
All Pompeiians were killed before they could dislike the video
LOLOLO
Lmao
It seems like a few survived
@@majorian6201 Pompey sons 🤣👌🏾
When’s part 3 coming out ? You do a great job explaining and showing us this amazing history
Man I'm dying for the sequel, some other channels have the whole Battle of Ilerda but I wanna watch it here in Syntagma. Superb production
@@quasistellar7351 Yes, please continue this series. The best content creator of this genre by far.

We are still waiting for part three 🤓
Part three! Amazing content
really sad that you have such a low output, as in my book you are the best historychannel of that kind. what sets you apart is the quality of animation as well as the script (not over the top like some others but entertaining while scientific) AND your great voice which carries the hole thing beautifully
great to see you back
Excellent! Can't wait for part three. As I was born and raised in Ilerda (nowadays Lleida), this description is far more interesting and accurate that a "single battle" between Caesarians and Pompeians we've been taught at scool. The crossing bridge at north matches with the city of Balaguer, where a strong defensive place is still visible. There was the "pont de Sant Miquel" (Saint Michael bridge), destroyed during the spanish civil war. Floods of Sicoris (Segre) river were usual until early 1900's when a dam was built by a canadian company. The last floods of Segre river happened in 1982, and covered part of the lower side of the city. Saw it when I was a child. The bridge at Lleida was so important that an entire garrison was permanently placed at the opposite part of the river, and in later years the city grew up that way, creating the "Cap Pont" neighborhood, which literally means "bridgehead". Visiting Lleida/Ilerda is strongly recommended to review roman, medieval and modern history and arquitecture. en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Lleida
Such amazing quality... makes the wait definitely worth it.
hope so, this one took a while to make :)
@@Syntagma I think you should find a way to create these animations rapidly, to make it easier to create more content
@@rubenheymans1988 I prefer quality over quantity. This is literally the most in depth reproduction of the events as you get and It makes the waiting worth. I'm fascinating by this content.
Dick sucking parade!!!!
You've come a long way from disembodied shields and spears.
Good job!
lol, indeed :) the early abstract style days :)) Thanks a lot man
I still like the O.G. Legion vs Phalanx video though.
Part 3 please! :) Greetings from germany.
This is the best documentary I’ve seen on Caesar’s Spanish campaign hurry up with the next
I love your series. Your narration of Caesars battle strategies are so engaging to watch. 10/10 would watch this if it ever gets made into a feature length movie
Love this channel! Keep up the good work! Such great quality production.
thanks man :)
Argh, the cliffhanger, I can't take no more!
The roman on roman campaigns are always so fascinating. Its almost never about the battles themselves, they are too evenly matched. Rather its all about attacking supplies, maneuvering into good positions, building walls and forts everywhere.
This campaign is a clear example of showing that warfare is not only about FIGHTING but also about LOGISTICS, ENGINEERING, DIPLOMACY and more.
Great video.
Finally ! ! ! !
awesome !
Thank You !
I'm dying to see Part 3, checking almost every day for the sequel lol.
I have seen this many times by now. Every video about Caesar from Syntagma. It really looks fantastic, amazing! But also the music and the voice, fits it perfectly.
And it's so exciting and captivating! Because it's not just a story...It happened for real... I often wonder and often try to imagine, what it was like, to live in those ancient times.
This is so good, I've been waiting for months for the new video. Worth the wait! Keep it up and thank you!
When this came out I was like **YES FINALLY** when the vid ended I was like **god damn it**
Same. Looking forward to the next one.
I have watched many videos related to Caesar's battles. this is by far the best!!!
Bless u!!
GRATIAS TIBI AGO. I waited a long time for this epic story to continue, both because CAESAR was awesome, and because I am Iberian of the original stock, and this is a part of my ancestral homeland's history.
Excellent work Gentlemen here.
Bravo to all who put this together.
Very insightful. 👍
Great Video.
These videos are absolutely terrific. I'm teaching my 9 yr old son tactics and these are perfect. Educationally entertaining from a generals POV. We love your channel. Cant wait for more!!!
please please please post more videos, this is amazing, even compared to bigger channels such as kings and generals this is great work.
Excellent video giving unique view of history, with stunning visuals amazing guys!!!!
Afranius and Caesar were both very clever generals. All these tricks they're coming up with are really brilliant. I know that Pharsalus and Thapsus are more famous, but Ilerda seems like the most challenging battle of Caesar's Civil War.
Loved every second of it. Thank you
There’s been a lot of these historic battle recreation videos as of late. My 2 favourite have been BazBattles and Kings and Generals. I can confidently say you are by far the best content creator in this genre, as you dive much more in-depth into a battle than other channels. Your story telling is exciting and engaging, the 3D animations are incredible, and you can’t help but get into the perspective of Caesar. It’s such a shame that your not posting more regularly as I can see you easily go over 500K subscribers. Might I suggest some click baits to boost your numbers by making some game of thrones battle re-creation. Please let me know if you start a GoFundMe campaign as if be more than happy to contribute for such incredible quality of work.
I said the same
Excellent follow up. Well done!!! Respectfully...
So cool, this is definitely one of the coolest contents of its kind. I didn't expect to be pleased from a tactical-technical historical documentary that much. There is something extremely griping in your works, I don't know what, maybe the soul, maybe the voice, maybe the narration technique, but there is one thing I am sure that this is an extremely cool stuff. Peace!
You are by far, one of the most underrated UA-camrs depicting ancient battles. I commend and admire you, my friend.
Thanks for these. Everything is top drawer about them. Better than TV.
The future UA-cam king of animated battle strategy right here guys! Proud to say I subscribed before 20K!
thanks man :)
A superb production, wonderfully narrated and presented. Very well done. Roman tactics were astonishing in their ingenuity.
Wonderful video, waiting for the next series. Thanks to the channel) Hello from Russia
Thank you. This 20 minute video explain better than a month of spending time reading and research on google.
You now need to get hold of Mr Spielberg and make a blockbuster movie about Caesar. Could you imagine this and more on the big screen with a big budget and Spielberg at the helm?
I am a sucker for historical wars and how these generals thought outside the box constantly to win wars. Loved this, heart ached when there was no part 3, subscribed, I can not wait to see the 3rd part of this! Great work!
Not a criticism but I’m mad asf I can’t watch episode 3 already!!! -_- Like a Netflix series I WANT IT NOW!! Lol
Honestly, your videos are amazing compared to a lot of the other videos I have seen on UA-cam. This reminds me of the old school History channel before they half ass videos with in depth knowledge and details! I love it! Thank you! Subscribed!
At last!
Thank you for putting your effort into making this and letting us watch it for free
These videos are the best of all the military history videos I've seen! Love how you cover the tactics used. Whenever I say Caesar I am referring to Julius...
10 out of 10 for this. Superb graphics, great commentary, brilliant research. Thanks a million! Look forward to part 3!
I've heard this tale before and this is exactly how I imagine it.
Total war style.
Great work.
You have just upped the bar sir!!! Amazing presentation. Congratulations!!
Wonderful! Great concept, great details.
A simple subscription is not enough to show my admiration for you and your channel.Wow,wow,wow.What a quality!
I can only picture a younger soldier in Caeser's army, panicking as the supplies run out. Then I see a couple of Caeser's Veterans laughing, and telling the younger man to cheer up.
"When the food runs low, that's when the magic happens." they'd tell him, "Just you watch, the General does his best thinking on an empty stomach."
I was wondering when you'll upload again but you answered that question.
I'm with Mihael 12345. I sure do love these videos of yours. Top notch exactly. I really wish there were more of them. You have a fan here and I do appreciate your work. Thank you.
Really enjoying your videos. Some of the best around. Everything is great. Writing, narration, graphics, all excellent. Keep it up! Looking forward to more!
Absolutely astonishing videos... thank you.
Best video I have seen in atlest a year
The Romans command of logistics was astounding.
Caesar was a genius
Great. I've been waiting for this thanks 👍😊
I wish to see the part three soon!
P. S. Unbelivable work, you're great!
thanks, part three should take less time to make :)
@@Syntagma where is part three? :)
I'm so glad that I found this channel. Awesome work
Quality over quantity - I'm loving it.
Well done, thank-you; Looking forward to part 3.
Absolutely fantastic!
The unfortunate yet understandable long wait is always worth it. This is a whole new level of excellence. I've yet to see a documentary made by independent creators match this level. It's just utterly amazing!
10000000/10, would watch again!
thanks man :) Indeed takes a lot of time to make these videos, however this part two of Caesar in Spain took a bit longer than it should. Part three for example will be done faster.
@@Syntagma If there was a way for you to recreate the whole history of Caeser like this I'd literally pay big bucks. I could watch these videos all day long
I watch these types of videos almost everyday and have done so for years. This channel is definitely the best I've seen. Cannot wait for more of these
Another incredible video. Looking forward to part three. You really bring the events to life and make it clear and easy to understand the strategy.
Thank you for making these videos. I had seen videos and read books about Cesar's campaigns before but the way you present it and narrate the stories is quite original. The quality is fantastic. I can't wait to see part 3
absolutely loving these videos really looking forward to seeing part 3 of the caesar in spain series. Thanks
Amazing! Great work and I appreciate your time and efforts to educate !
And now waiting for the third chapter. I'm so excited! Your narration makes me feel eager for the next, like a serial of old!!!
Loved both parts of this history. All I can say is well done, and thank you. 👍
Great research man, you really know your history and the animation is top notch. You picked such a great narrator to narrate this too.
I can't wait for the part three, but please take your time, it worth the wait.
Your videos are really satisfying, as am avid historian I really yearn for more videos like this from channels such as yours. Thank you
This is seriously some of the highest quality videos as far as historical content goes, that I’ve seen thus far
awesome work guys! looking forward to see part 3
Brilliant! Thank you.
Continuing quality, well worth the wait. Thank you. Eageraly awaiting part 3
*I NEED MORE*
This is the best documentary I have ever seen on the subject. Keep the great work! I am sure it will pay off in the future.
Always glad to see your videos in my notifications! Thank you
Amazing video presentation of a convoluted time period of historical significance. Great graphics, concise narration. Thank you.
man you did amazing job with those videos. I'm glad, I can still learn something new. I know a lot about ancient rome history, of course not everything. Usually everywhere is written only how Caesar crossed Rubicon river, took undefended city of Rome, pursuit Pompeius and win. Also I like your voice, animations and so. Keep it up, great job.
Simply fantastic 😍😍
Amazing video ! ♥️🙏 Thank you
Can't wait until part 3, wonderful work! Thank you
Excelente videoo!! Includes all small movement and logistic. Tactics movements, cities, important hills, and how a campain it's win/lost... at the end you can really understand Ceasar mind
Fantastic! Thank you so much!

What a sad execution and/or plan on ceasing the small hill. Now I need to read this whole history. Thank you!
6 days later, we are back here... Thankyou!!!
Totally awesome, great job!
I was going to ask for part 3 but it looks like it hasn't been made yet. Great job so far!
