Yes, Tippi Hedren had a class that was incomparable. I recall first seeing her in that classic of Alfred Hitchcock "The Birds", which was his very best. It must have been his most difficult film to bring to the screen. Don't ask me how many times I have seen it; I have just lost count. It was made with so much of class and his attention to detail was beyond brilliance. As his leading lady, Tippi Hedren was magnificent!!! Terrifically groomed: her hair, gorgeously styled and never out of place, her costumes, her gait and her sartorial sense never ceases to amaze me. The chemistry between Tippi's character and the ruggedly handsome, Rod Taylor was spot-on. Hey, but let's not forget one of my top faves, who also had an important part in the film as a teacher: the very gorgeous and powerhouse-of-talent, Suzanne Pleshette. With her husky voice and carrying a torch for the elusive Rod Taylor, Suzy girl leaves an indelible print on the viewer's mind. Neither her daughter nor grand-daughter have or had the magic that Tippi once possessed. I enjoyed her part in Marnie too with Sean Connery, but THE BIRDS remains her piece-de-resistance. A terrific leading-lady!!!
From France 🇫🇷 so well said the truth and nothing but the truth. Hitchcock desperately wanted Grace instead who didn t want to fly back to the States, being married to Prince Raigner of Monaco. He was demanding and brutal towards her who was such a beautiful, smart, elegant, perfect actress.

As to THE BIRDS, very haunting, using for the 1st time ever synthetizers to imitate hundreds of angry birds and flapping of wings. It reminds me of the 1st Spielberg film DUEL in 1978, on a low budget with the dark infernal lorry like the impersonalisation of 👿

Whatever her âge, grace, elegance, depth, sensitivity...She is one of a kind who endured à demanding and unfair Hitch who preferred Grace Kelly to her...
I could praise her achievements for hours having read several biographies. I m a great one for old French and American films mostly.

Wow! Tippi had a line of clothing? Wish it would have been available nationwide. Remember watching Tippi Hedren in several movies, as well as her classic role in "The Birds." Glad to see she is still very active at 93, concerning animals.

That scene in the film Marnie where she is washing the dye out of her hair and then flings her hair back still makes me gasp every time I see it! She was stunningly beautiful!

She is still very beautiful and she is not full of silicone or Botox or plastic surgery❤how about their acting achievements besides their beauty. Nobody retains their looks forever. Although some try to do so. Madonna is one of those lovely ladies whom have over done the surgeries trying to retain her youthful appearance. But it’s literally changed her looks so she doesn’t even look like herself anymore which is sad. She was beautiful with wrinkles. Most are lovely with wrinkles and they just don’t realize it

Hitchcock was super weird. She’s not the only actress to claim he assaulted her. One husband (I can’t recall if it was Tippi’s husband)told Hitchcock if he didn’t leave his wife alone he would basically beat the crap out of him.

brando's comedic talents ? never saw him do comedy before other than teahouse of the august moon. loved most movies he was in but i must admit he did one stinker - 1962's remake of mutiny on the bounty. after clark gable's fletcher christian from 1935's film brando was almost embarrasing to watch. not his best effort and the movie wasn't much better. gable , laughton and tone were gold in the early version. brandon and howard - not so much. love THE BIRDS. rod taylor , tippi and tandy were perfect for the roles.

become Princess Grace of Monaco! After her departure, he sought to 'reincarnate' that feeling with her
replacement actresses, e.g Kim Novak & Tippi Hedren! However, these new actresses of the 1960's were
refusing the old "casting couch" method of hiring & began to spurn the advances of Hitchcock & his ilk!
Hitchcock didn't have to lust after Grace Kelly. It was common knowledge even then that she'd sleep with a stone on the first date whether it would help her career or not. That's why she was Hitchcock's favorite leading lady and Tippi, who fought his attention, was blackballed.

I've been around several decades and I can't think of one star in or out of Hollywood, not Marilyn Monroe, Grace Kelly, not one of them was/is as beautiful as Tippi Hedron. She's the Apex of stunning and her beauty stops one in their tracks. They don't make them like that anymore, classy, humble and kind. I remember a Dean Martin show and Ethel merman was asked " what do you think of the new stars and sex symbols and her reply was" honey there ain't a boob or a butt on any of them ".
