    This is important where they have explosives, aviation fuel and ignition has explosion. For me all my army units and by the world. Have a platoon against fire. In the air force and Navy the world already has. Even more in areas of conflict like this video.

    Combat firefighter? Do they go out into the field? Or stay on base?

      AwkwardYet I was in Crash Crew 20 years ago, but their mission and training has not really changed. Crash Crew normally are stationed with the Aircraft and provide Fire Protection to facilities on station and in some instances will respond off base, but rarely in combat. Firefighters and their equipment is very high on the list of infrastructure targets because once that capability is destroyed fire becomes a real issue. If your question is will you go outside the wire, mostly never. There were time we came under fire because of mortar, rocket and scud attacks. In Kason Vietnam Crash Crew came under direct small arms fire, that was a hairy time. Sometimes you may go to what is known as a FARP site, Forward Arming and Fueling Point. If you do normally there is a small firefighting unit called a TAU, Twin Agent Unit. Mostly you will be on the airfield, well protected, supporting Airfield Operations. Think of it this way, every job in the Corps is vital, or it wouldn't exist. I personally rescued 6 pilots and crew, I put alot more in body bags. But I made a huge difference in 6 people's lives that went on to have kids and full lives. Then again every Marine is a Grunt first, and if needed you may have to pick up a weapon and remember what a clear sight post is for. Simper Fi, and Till Valhalla.

      Here's what you have to do: Score high on your ASVAB. Get a nice, useful MOS like Air Traffic Control, or Radar Repair, or Avionics, and then, during A-School, develop into a binge drinking, bar room brawling, test-failing asshole. They'll wash you out and send you to Crash Crew school, guaranteed.

      Alexander Hamilton I got a 74 on the ASVAB that good enough for the binge drinking or should I aim a little higher

    And... the foam??

    • @Rangerman69420
      @Rangerman69420 6 років тому +2

      They probably didn't use foam because they were training and it's hard to relate fires in foam.or they could be training in case they get deployed over seas with would obviously be hard to get foam over there

    • @alexanderhamilton8585
      @alexanderhamilton8585 6 років тому +1

      No, see, they can't use foam because the foam would put the fire out too quick. After all the phone calls and trouble they go to to set up a training fire, the SSGTs want their money's worth. The entertainment value of watching people catch on fire is second to none. Little known fact: There are no officers in Crash Crew. Consequently, stupidity reigns supreme there.

    • @lucfox5895

      Iwakuni has no way to filter the foam and water so it's not used for training. It's only used unless absolutely nesecary

      Dude. Just admit it. The MOS is not called "COMBAT FIREFIGHTER". I know. I used to be in Crash Crew.
