Thanks for loading this up. Brings back lots of memories of Saturday afternoons in front of the box even back in the old B & W days. Wonderful to see Kent again.
Yes, it's a wonderful time of lifetime time of lifetime for a Saturday afternoon four pm in front of the box, as you say, with a can of Younger's Tartan Bitter and another one in the cupboard for a nicetime time of lifetime time of nice.
@@richardlitwin4046 Quite right Richard, n a Fab time to grow up and luvly memories of my parents too. Always remember at the end 'Ken always said Have a good week till next week' Also luved the I TV 7 and Dickie Davies presenter was Momentous.Kind regards Glynn n greetings from Stourbridge West Midlands UK 👍
40 years ago and so many wrestlers have now passed away. Even Young David died in 2002 aged only 39. He started off skinny as hell and ended up bloated by steroids. Refs Dave Reece and Jeff Kaye have also gone. King Ben (not Benn!) was Ben Boothman who's son was Mark 'Kid' McCoy. His bout should have decided by the ref on points.
Typical ITV World of Sport...trying hard to make something recorded look "live". But even as a kid of 8 I knew it wasn't kosher. Loved it of course, and Cup Final Day was a real national event in those days, not the joke it has become now.
that is what I call the art of wrestling which it's identity is Britain not like American wrestling which is empty of wrestling actions just using more talk in the microphone and focusing in the power anger
Great days, when British wrestling was at its peak. Used to love going to my local hall to watch the wrestling in the 80s and early 90s
My childhood was Saturdays at 4pm watching wrestling with my Grandma lol awesome times 💥
If this was nowadays, there would be 1000 adverts in between those first two matches
Brings back so many memories of my grandparents glued to TV on Saturday Afternoons to watch the wrestling.

Kent Walton Mr wrestling!!! made it all believable
young David, sadly did,nt live long enough to be 'old' David, sad. r.I.p.
Yank wrestling is steroids and heroine; Young David and Dynamite Kid should have stayed in Britain.
Shame,I didn’t know.
Nice to go back now again to the old school and refreshingly basic style of pro wrestling.
Black Jack Mulligan, who started on TV as Larry Coulton. So many thanks for posting these great videos!
Different times great entertainment. Use to sell out our city hall from the 50’s all the way up to mid 80’s.

Well done Chris adams
I bet I am the only person across the pond that watches all the old British rasslin.
not sure why but i spend xmas alone and watch old uk wrestling,
other days i just watch wwe crap and porn like everyone else hahaha
RIP British Bulldog
Shame is that even by 1980, ITV had wiped all the 50's 60s and most of the 70's bouts from their archive
Nice Canadian destroyer by young david
Crabtree bros wrecked wrestling in the U.K.
Some wrestlers had glass backs when it came to the Boston Crab. I loved seeing Jim Breaks get beat.
Charged with murder in spain, deemed unfit to stand trial due to dementia and last I heard was in a spanish psychiatric hospital
The drop kick before the flying tackle when Naylor went out the ring never even connected

The second round was really biarre with those rules, but damn that Chris Adams and King ben was a good one!
Pure theatre and rehearsed good fight routines worthy of several Oscars. 😃😆😂🤣
Is that Leon Fortuna refereeing?
No its Jeff Kaye
McManus woz robbed, he got 10 & they only counted 9!
Exactly!
i wonder whether kent ever knew that british wrestling was fixed.
course he did you don't think he survived on a commentators pay alone do you
@@albaproductions9602 Kent knew everything
I’ll be - Young David before he became a British Bulldog.
I don't think Dickie Davies like wrestling
Richard Sharpe not dripping over with enthusiasm was he!
Its known that he didnt
Black Jack Mulligan was trained by Rod E. Piper and Bruno San Martino.
Big Daddy’s nephew wrestled as Greg Valentine!
Wrong person
have you anymore WOS wrestling? cry baby jim breaks by any chance?
I thought it was cry baby sid Cooper...
@@roonshine No? He was called cyanide sid cooper
I could never work out how this was considered a sport?
