- It’s the grand finale of The Taste Master SA: Baking Edition. The Top 3 contestant, Thando Manyoni, Kyle Haytread and Jay Miller, must use all the skills they’ve learned throughout the competition to impress the judges one last time with a Russian inspired high-tea presentation at the esteemed Hazendal Wine Estate. Joining the judging panel is executive chef Michelle Theron, as well as the return of a few familiar faces.
Only one can be crowned The Taste Master. Tune in on Friday at 7PM on SABC2 for the epic conclusion.

I just love this show. I love the comradery among the contestants. The judges are genuinely kind and fair. And I cheered and clapped, almost cried when Kyle won.
Congratulations to Kyle.. His experience definitely showed and the way he put himself out there every time with so much abundance. Congrats to Thando and Jay as well. Such a good season I'm sad this is over. Can't wait for the next one ✨💯

Kyle definitely out did himself with that beautiful and abundant spread. This second season was so much better than the first. Hopefully they will continue doing this competition.

Wow congrats to Kyle. I just binged watched this from Boxing day and totally loved the show. I still can't believe Sam was not part of the final three. You guys did Sam dirty. She was the best baker on the show.
I'm happy for him. But that pin though....
At least make one special from gold or something for the finale. Or at least give him a trophy that he can display somewhere 😭.

How I wish the world would learn that what they are making is Afternoon Tea. High tea is completely different. It looks so delicious but we English get so frustrated at this common and frequent mistake 😊

Interesting that of all countries they used Russia as the inspiration for this challenge. They focused on Belgium last season, so I would've thought that they would focus on either English or French techniques. Then again I can see why they wanted to do something that wasn't as known as English tea culture since we have seen a lot of more Western European techniques throughout the season.
Kyle was very deserving
I think it's kind of odd that they had the chefs serve everyone.
Why was episode 10 and 12 not shown.
I guess I watched a different series. I thought Tando was snarky, sarcastic, and overall an entitled brat.

The gal with the long braids should have been ousted, instead of the gal with the shorter, dark hair. She blew it, royaly, yet she was kept on, not fair so unfair to the others that were much more worthy, and capable.. Our opinion, anyway; watching all of it.
