- Guys this work with my acadia for some time but when I change the purge valve wish is connected with the throttle !! is only 40 $ after that I had no problems with that again !!

the dreaded "reduced power" messge - stabilitrack..etc. I replaced the intake manifold -- cleaned the you know what out of evertyhing -- did not fix my problem. I would still receive the dreaded "REDUCED ENGINE POWER". Primarily when my engine was warm and I would stop at a light or stop-sign. I checked for codes -- I had a code for the fuel rail sensor (if my memory is right, it was code P0190). Replaced the sensor. Fairly easy job, disconnecting wires and moving htem ouf ot the way, was the hardest part. Replacing the fuel pressure rail sensor fixed the issue... what a relief. There's a video out there to help. A thin walled socket for the bolt holding the sensor in place us a bonus.

A little late to tell you now, but you need to remove the oil fill cap before removing the plastic engine cover. Otherwise you will break the plastic engine cover.

I did the same as well and I think it's working now to. Mine would act up about once a week then be ok for a bit then the hole car would shake around and would say engine power reduced to, so im thinking it was all the oil in the sound damper in the intake tube. Cleaned up with throttle cleaner.

Just an fyi the battery is located behind pass front seat in floor its a 10mm.....and if u disconnect for few seconds it will reset the power loss that comes up on driver dash screen.

Once you see oil in the air conduct, you should change the two pcv valve too..
Whe is the pcv valve I was told mine doesn't have one 2014 3.6
I know where one is in the back but where is other one

I have a 2011 gmc terrain, last night my engine stops completely and the message came on power engine reduced, can it be the same problem with throttle body, I parked the car and haven't try any thing because all shops are closed today

I have a GMC that does not want to go over 30 mph. When it's time to hit second gear, the RPMs go way up but no second gear! Culprit? The TPS.
Oil is in the air intake flex tube Because the PVC valve is clogged.

I found the problem I had a loose oil filter
realy? i hope it would be that easy on my acadia
Change the filter, clean the throttle body, change spark plugs with iridium only, and change the metal pcv valve that's hidden by a plastic hose in the back of the engine by the rear ignition coil. It's a challenge taking it off, so use vice grips to take it off. Before putting the new pcv valve on highly advise lubricate the lower part of the pcv valve so it can fit in a lot easier. Trust me, been there, done that on my 08 Outlook.

Crazycamaroz28 I also have a 2011 Acadia slt 2WD It's a headache. I cleaned it like this and changed some camshaft and crankshaft position sensors and it fixed the problem.
Sounds like maybe a catalytic problem?
The map sensor will keep your vehicle running below 5 mph. If u unplug map sensor and it run above 5 mph replace it
I would check throttle position sensor first for that issue without knowing anything else of course.

Oil in intake is caused by clogged pcv easy and cheap fix
but which pvc??
Follow the black air hose on top of engine there 2 one for purge valve one that goes to back that’s your crankcase vent valve remove hose carefully turn small piece to side the pull that silver piece is your vent valve plier it out you will see 2 small hose clogged with oil
The purchase new one and drill the small holes a bit bigger before installing garrantee to work

Where did you buy the purge valve? Is it called something else like a vapor canister purge solenoid or vent solenoid?

I have a 2007 Acadia. It started to stutter and after two days I took it to Autozone to get a code reader. The code that came on said I have a misfire in my cylinder 6. I was told to change the spark plugs and check the coils. After inspecting the coils they were good but I still had the spark plugs changed. After this, we found that the PCV valve was clogged and the Breather tube broke. after a temp fix of the tube. we turned it on and then I got a code stating P0300. Well, I went ahead and order the breather tube and a new rear PCV valve. My car is still stuttering and my RPMs are still low. What can I do next? please help
Did you ever get that fixed ?? And how did you solve it???
Buy one of those cheap check engine scanners and whenever it acts up just clear the codes and the truck will run fine
I do this for emergency use but still need to check pcv valve and clean throttle body, from what I've read

@@kenwall4526 There's one in the front and one in the back. They are both on the right side of the engine by the throttle body. Change both and do the cleaning like in this video and you are good to go.

It Look like he also change your pigtail too probably the connector as well check your map sensor that could be something that does reduce your engine power and your mass airflow sensor before you put in some serious money

@@handsonjobf9200 Hoy limpie el trottle body y por suerte salio bien, lo del purge valve lo cambie hace 6 meses porque cada vez que cargaba gasolina tenia problemas para arrancar, asi que no creo q en mi caso sea eso, si me vuelve a fallar lo del trottle voy a tener que llevarlo al mecanico a que lo cambie y lo programe, gracias x tu respuesta.

@@juancastillo4563 Juan, yo termine cambiando el trottle body porque me seguia el problema, hay videos que te dicen como relearn la computadora, porque cuando cambias esa parte las revoluciones van a ser altas (en mi caso no tuve problemas y las RPM eran normales) despues que cambie eso,no tuve mas problemas con el reduce engine power. lo unico que yo hice fue desconectar la bateria para cambiar el trottle body.
Alguien sabe por q mi GMC Acadia 2008 tiembla la luz de cheke engine se prende y se apaga y después q se calienta como en 5 minutos ya funciona bien
