In the end she was forbidden to enter the country for 10 years and even after that period she was denied. So please if you have another route to go ( living visa) please take it and stop trying to get a visitor one so that it doesn't happen the same to your mother. God bless you ❤

Yes, its distressing, but they did the wrong thing unfortunately. Anyone going into Visa required countries knows what the limits are. I was counting every hour of day with time zone changes.

While I have a ton of compassion for them and pray she can come soon and my own family waited many years for approval to immigrate, I feel compelled to tell you that coming across the border is not easy or something to joke about. I work with children in foster care who were brought here for asylum. Many have had family members literally killed in the streets and would likely have met the same fate if they hadn’t left. They were locked up in facilities for months waiting for family members who lived here to be identified and have the ability to come get them. Those family members are often unable to care for them long term and they end up in foster care. The trauma they carry is unimaginable to most of us. Helping them find legal assistance is a nightmare lasting many months for us, even as adults who speak the language and are professional social workers. I don’t know how anyone can navigate this totally inadequate system. Many have become pregnant as a result of being victimized on their trip or due to their vulnerability once they get here. They’ve chosen to keep their baby despite the trauma. So now they wait in constant fear that they will be deported, wondering what will they do about their child. Once they are out of foster care, they can’t get financial assistance and can’t work legally because the system is backed up for many years and even despite our years of trying to help them, it wasn’t enough to get the cases settled. I know it’s a complicated issue with many layers and many facets, but I hope you’ll show compassion for the least of these who are suffering so much.

People are flooding in, no questions asked, and a sweet grandmother wants to see her grandbabies, and it's a nope; sorry, see you in two years again! I would be contacting my congressman to see what you can do to get a fair interview. We have a family your size, and you are right; it is so expensive to travel. Praying something can be done. Sending love from Wisconsin!♥️
Sorry to hear about your Mom..I always enjoy watching her visits and especially her cooking. I will say a prayer for a better outcome of the situation. ❤❤❤
This is the Godliest rant I’ve ever heard. You guys are so sweet. Life goals = be as calm as Sarah and Solo when dealing with frustration. ❤ I’m so sorry for what happened. I hope someone sees this that can help you.
My husband’s family is in Honduras. Getting my husband and children’s paperwork to come with residency was 18 months of headaches. Things changed and I had to figure that out, no one is available to explain how to do the new way of how things are supposed to be done. Visas are always a nightmare. I know there is a lot of talk and frustration about the illegal people in the US, but if getting here legally wouldn’t be such a difficult and mean process, more people would come through legal channels. I’m so sorry for you and your mom. I feel for you so thoroughly!
The illegal immigrant issue we have here in the U.S. is definitely multifaceted. It shouldn't be so easy that people can just come in droves, yet neither should it be so hard that people have to wait years and jump through tons of hoops to get here.
There's a difference between visiting, emigrate and immigrant. The visiting process is made difficult to actually allow the illegal immigration to happen.
@@liztosh740 Nobody is justifying breaking the law. All she is saying is that she can see why some people would do it. I wish nobody would come here illegally, but I also wish coming here legally wasn't such a difficult thing to do. It is difficult. I have many friends that are from other countries, and a lot of them say the same thing. I will add that all of my friends from other countries have come here legally. It was a painstaking process for them.
The reason why legal immigration is so harsh or is be sure of all the illegal. If all the illegal were sent back they would stop and free up immigration workers.
Since Solo owns his own business, would it help to "hire" your mom temporarily as an employee? Even if it's just a very part time position of filing and organizing your office, a temporary employment situation could help the process. I have friends who have a family member here on a Nanny Visa as well. Best wishes to a speedy visit and prayer flares for your mom.
Unfortunatly once you overstay your visa, even if it's a geniun mistake, it will be VERY difficult to get a new visa. If the interview lasted only 2 min, chances are they had already made a decision before they even met with her.
How frustrating for everyone...this is completely unfair that they won't even let her speak and hear her explanation, how can they deny someone a visa without explaining why? Ok I should stop now before I become too invested and start ranting myself😅 My heart goes out to you guys ..I hope hear some good news soon 🙏❤
So sorry to hear Solo's Mom having issues. Hopefully, it can get straightened out soon. I think Belle really favors her. A friend of mine had a daughter that lived in China for a while. Travel back and forth from there to U.S. was a challenge.
Hi Sarah and Solo. I am watching you from Suriname, South America. This is the MO of US embassies. It is well-known to us and very frustrating. I pray for your mom.
Sarah and Solo I'm so sorry. What a huge frustrating experience. And your Mom is feeling it very deeply. And when you want to reapply for a visa there is a two year wait. I feel your frustration. Please keep us posted.
I know what you are dealing with. My daughter lives in South America. In March I finally got to meet my first grandchild (3 yo) and my son-in-law in person. Those 3 months that they were here flew by! No one realizes all the calls, forms, embassy visits, money it takes to visit here; just about as complex for her to get married there and having a baby during corona. Oh the stories I could share.
I’m so sorry to hear this drama is happening. Unfortunately, border laws are so strict about overstaying. If you over stayed a visa here in Australia by even one day it would stop you entering again for some time. Praying you Mum gets approved and can see you all soon
@@chicamorena18 in Australia “drama” is used differently. I know the difference but this is how I speak. Drama means “unsettling events” in the way I’ve used it
Have you thought of bringing your mom to the states to live? She looks like a sweet, wonderful grandmother who would add lots of love to the upbringing of the children.
@@therealmekk Sometimes you have you wonder if others actually watch the video, Or just snip its when the questions are fully addressed in the video, eh?? LOL!!
I’m so sorry that happened to Solo’s mom. I used to be an immigration agent. If it is at all possible, I would recommend seeing if an immigration lawyer can assist with the process. I would suggest avoiding a paralegal service as they will simply do the paperwork. An Immigration lawyer will be able to explain why she was denied a visa and what the next best steps are. Good luck!
She was denied because she overstayed a previous visa and thus broke the rules of her visa. She’ll be lucky if she ever gets accepted for another. Rules are in place for a reason and if they decided to break them they must deal with the consequences.
Means absolutely nothing to them. USA claims they want reunification but do they really? Have you seen the ingredients in the food they allow people to eat?
I have no advice or connections to help you, but I definitely will pray for your family, and that this immigration debacle is resolved, and Solo’s mom can come and visit from Kenya. As a grandma myself, I can understand the heartbreak of being apart from your grandchildren, and especially wanting to visit them, and not being able to.
I totally understand the visa struggles. 12 years ago I moved to Australia. Had many struggles to get a resident status. Flying in an out couldn’t apply in Australia, had to be in America to file paperwork. And very expensive, flights at the time were about 3,000 round trip. The cost of the visa was 10k so I definitely understand some of the struggles. Praying for your family that they get everything worked out. God bless
Wow. I'm shocked at how expensive immigration is now. I did mine almost 20 years ago and I think it was under $5k all up. That includes all the fees for the paperwork, the medical visits, printing photos for relationship evidence (spouse visa), etc. I have never understood why you have to leave the country if you've applied for the visa overseas! We kinda did the dodgy thing and I came over on an ETA (hubby rang the immigration department ahead of time and they actually suggested this way!) so I was able to do it all within the country. We were up front about it in the paperwork & the interview and it wasn't an issue. Still, even though we had a relatively easy time of it, it was a really stressful period in our lives (especially straight after getting married).
Sarah and Solo, you and your family are in our prayers. I know what it's like to not have family around, so this breaks my heart. Our family is praying over this.
I cannot imagine the frustration!! Particularly the fact that she paid for an appointment and got a two-minute brush off. Technology is wonderful but times like this if you could just sit in front of someone and say, she's a grandmother who will stay with family, she's not going to work, and here's the evidence that she always returns home! I hope you can get this resolved, it's always so nice to see her in the videos (and obviously a million times nicer for her to be able to meet her grandkids and spend time with you all!)
I could say SO much on this general topic, but I won't. This is just heartbreaking. I'll definitely be praying for y'all all. The situation is ridiculous.
Sorry for the bureaucracy the U.S. immigration. You need to find a representative to hear your case and issue a letter. 4 years is a long time. During Covid-19, I waited 4 years to travel home to Puerto Rico, and my only aunt died during that time, my mom changed her mind about going with me. You don't need a Visa or passport to travel to Puerto Rico. I go every 2 years normally. Im so grateful and lucky. Best of luck!
I totally feel this with my heart. My mom Just passed away, We buried her yesterday. My 2 siblings were not allowed entree To say their last goodbye to their mother. Similar type of appointment, Barely given a second to speak. I understand we have laws and regulations But in both of our cases humanity And empathy were the missing factors
Hi I understand what your going through. With a resident visa I think you can stay in USA for 6months and can be in your home country for 6 months. You need to be back in the USA again and don’t pass the period or you can loose the resident visa.
Hi Sara and Solo, I am so upset that the Embassy did not issue the visa to your mom. I could see the sadness in Solo's eyes. That is a man who lives his mom!! I was so looking forward to seeing her with you guys, and the grandchildren especially. From what I have deduced you have reached out to your Congressional Representative. I must let you know based on experience, that the CR course of action will be a letter to the respective embassy explaining that you are his or her constituent etc etc. That letter usually goes to the to the Consul General, that is the person who leads the Consulate, which is visitor and non-immigrant visas. and then he or she forwards it to the Chief of the Non-Immigrant visa unit. The denial will be researched and all the pertinent info regarding the denial and under the respective sections of the law will be noted. That letter will be sent back to your CR via diplomatic pouch, and you will be contacted and basically all the different sections of the US immigration law under which she was denied will be cited (214(b) to you and that will be it!!! I must be honest with you that your mom will not get a visitor visa anytime soon. We all know your mom was here as a visitor. However, chances are the Consular Officer who interviewed her believes she was working. Now we all know she was not. Another thing is ,she has TWO sons who live here, which, where the embassy is concerned makes it more probable that she will come and not return. Your CR is the only third person who will be given the basis under which she was denied. You will never be told. Your CR cannot request the embassy to issue a visa. He or she will only be told why she was denied. Again, I think you both should consider filing for her to get a green card. You have that right as US citizens Yes, I know you do not think you should go through filing for a "green Card" just for her to visit. But it will save time, money, and the emotional pain I literally, and I am sure ALL your subscribers who care about your family, could feel your pain and see the sadness in your eyes today when you updated us . Do it for those beautiful grandchildren of hers, especially Seth, Peace, and Solos' brothers' little girl. You do not need an attorney, just go online to US Citizenship and Immigration Services and get the ball going with her "green card" There is no wait period or numbers because Solo her son, is a US citizen. As soon as the I-130 petition is filed and approved, she will be notified, and as I told you earlier she will be here, before you know it, and can come and go as often as she likes. She does not have to live here. Hang tight, you are God fearing Christian people with faith. Its going to work fine.
I’m so sorry this is beyond frustrating and very upsetting for you all. Even from the UK they have made it more difficult to go to the US. And if anything goes wrong is is extremely difficult to contact anyone. I will pray 🙏
Start a petition if things don't go well with your local representative? You'd have a load of people ready to sign here. Prayers for Solo's Mom! Take care!
Sarah your explanation of a rant was hilarious!!!😂 I hope it doesn't take long to resolve the visa issues. At least in this day you can video chat/ be able to see her. I know it's not the same as in person. ❤❤
I’m so sorry you’re dealing with this. The government doesn’t make anything easy. even changing my name when I got married in 2021 was a complete nightmare thanks to the offices being closed due to you know what. They made me mail in my actual passport and then lost it and my application, had to make me an in person appointment as an exception and it took a months. I can’t even imagine dealing with immigration. Praying for you guys!
Wow, I'm so sorry. I definitely think reaching out to your representatives in Washington is the way to go. It's ridiculous that she had to wait so long for an appointment and then wasn't even given an opportunity to explain the situation.
Your family is in my thoughts and prayers. I miss my Mom and Dad every day, they have been gone awhile. I am hoping you all are able to see your Mom soon!
I share your frustration- you guys are doing things the RIGHT way and are getting denied yet the border is a free for all. It’s not fair and hurts my heart. ❤
While unfortunate, she was not denied “for nothing.” She overstated. USCIS is horrendous, I know this. But there is some level of personal responsibility that you are lacking on this issue.
@@nicolem5245my husband and I finally just finished with USCIS after four long years, so many tears, and even more money. It’s frustrating to hear them place blame elsewhere.
I studied immigration law and worked for immigration firms and have done visa petition and it is indeed frustrating. It is very arbitrary in terms of your interview. Some immigration officials are just down right mean and lack empathy. The way borders separate families is quite hard. The denial and visa overstay could have a significant effect on future visas. However, nothing is impossible with grace. Solo should consider petitioning for mom. She can stay in the USA for her statutory time and file for citizenship. After that, she can come and go as she pleases. You may want to seriously consider that option. 5 years living in the USA continuously and going home to visit family goes quickly. If not, she may always run into issues when applying for a visitor’s visa. Additional applying for permanent residency can take time but at least you can start the process sooner than later.
I’m so sorry this is happening. I could say quite a lot about the gov’t having a bit too much power but I won’t! Instead, I’ll say a prayer that these troubles are resolved quickly and very soon. Sending love to you all! ❤
Oh i am so sorry Solo's mum is having trouble getting to visit with you - upholding you all in prayer and hoping to see her with you soon - i remember her last visit and the joy she brought - Father, we bring this whole situation before you and ask for your blessings to flow upon this family, that we may once again share in their joy and thankfulness and witness that in you, all things are possible, in Jesus name we pray, Amen

This was the most polite rant I’ve ever heard! ❤️👵😇 This situation is so absurd considering what is happening on our southern border! God bless you guys! ❤️😇👵
Man, you guys should have know better than that. But I hope you can sort it. Im a New Zealander married to a Canadian and the hoops we have had to jump through for permanent residence & then citizenship was rediculous & expensive. Never mind visiting before that. Visitor visas, work visas, resident visas, and it goes on and on. Also all done in French & English. Nightmare! And getting a Police clearance from the RCMP when the documents provided werent enough was fun, many an early morning Video call due to time differences... Uggg...
I am so very sorry for this! I live overseas and I've been denied visas before as well. It is hard. I am praying for God's peace that passes all understanding, for you to have abundant wisdom and discretion, and that you would see God do exceedingly abundantly above anything you could ask or think.
No, they aren't. They are enforcing the same rules in the same way for everyone. Each person in line who has overstayed their visa believes their own personal story should be allowed .
Write a letter and email it to the Embassy and cc your local congressman and senator. Send them copies too and ask for a meeting at your local senators office they have people to help. You are correct she qualifies for permanent residency so it’s ridiculous that she’s denied. I would apply and she can spend time here as she pleases.
Yep. If one over stays a visa you get kicked out. My son- law is in Europe on a visa stay and is carefully watching the days. My kids have been on educational visas and we made sure they always watched the days. Hope you can get this worked out.
I work in a funeral home, a woman (Trinidadian) was in a similar situation. She overstayed a week (mistakenly), her daughter died unexpectedly (25 Years old) in the USA. & was denied entry to the USA & had to attend her daughters service via zoom. She also had a clear record. Horrible!!!! I hope that someone somewhere can rectify the situation.

Sorry to hear about your Mom..I always enjoy watching her visits and especially her cooking. I will say a prayer for a better outcome of the situation. ❤❤❤
So sorry 🙏 that Solos mother is having to go through such things. I feel terrible for her. Prayers for this to be resolved.
Your mother seems like a gem. I wish her the best! 🙏🏼❤️🌻
This is the Godliest rant I’ve ever heard. You guys are so sweet. Life goals = be as calm as Sarah and Solo when dealing with frustration. ❤
I’m so sorry for what happened.
Are you justifying people breaking the law and coming in illegally because it's too" difficult" to come here legally? Wow....
So sorry your mom is going through this! Definitely reach out to your representative! Will be praying that doors will open.
How frustrating for everyone...this is completely unfair that they won't even let her speak and hear her explanation, how can they deny someone a visa without explaining why? Ok I should stop now before I become too invested and start ranting myself😅
My heart goes out to you guys ..I hope hear some good news soon 🙏❤
I’m praying for doors to be open for her! Thank you for the update.
I’m so sorry for this frustrating situation! Sending my prayers! ✝️🙏❤️
My Prayers 🙏✝️🙏
Very Heartbreaking 🙏
So sorry! I hope something will work out for you and her! Thank you for sharing your frustration ❤
Your daughter moved away from family I dont blame her😂😂
I’m so sorry to hear this drama is happening. Unfortunately, border laws are so strict about overstaying. If you over stayed a visa here in Australia by even one day it would stop you entering again for some time.
Praying you Mum gets approved and can see you all soon
This is not drama know the difference 💀
@@chicamorena18 in Australia “drama” is used differently. I know the difference but this is how I speak. Drama means “unsettling events” in the way I’ve used it
Praying things work out quickly for your Mom to visit, Solo. I just lost mine in February, so I understand how precious that time is.
Prayers that someone hears this that can help your Mom and your family through this crazy situation.
Oh my goodness! That is a lot to deal with! All the best in figuring this out.
Have you thought of bringing your mom to the states to live? She looks like a sweet, wonderful grandmother who would add lots of love to the upbringing of the children.
They said it she has a life there & that healthcare here is a lot.
Good luck!
HEY GUYS! Look at this suggestion from Elizabeth above!
She was denied because she overstayed a previous visa and thus broke the rules of her visa. She’ll be lucky if she ever gets accepted for another. Rules are in place for a reason and if they decided to break them they must deal with the consequences.
You can also have her do a notarized Affidavit with the explanation 🙏
Means absolutely nothing to them. USA claims they want reunification but do they really? Have you seen the ingredients in the food they allow people to eat?
🙏 for a speedy turnaround of the process
Poor Mama. So frustrating! I hope it gets straightened out.
God bless
Praying that there will be a change for the better.😢❤
Praying for your mom and a quick resolution!
Hoping all will happen soon so your mom can come to the US. I know how important it is to visit with her. Beat of luck!! 🥰
I really feel for you all. All she wants to do is see her grandchildren.😢😢😢
I’ve been watching your family grow on UA-cam for many years. I’m so sorry that you guys are going through this. I’m sending my prayers with you.
Hi I understand what your going through. With a resident visa I think you can stay in USA for 6months and can be in your home country for 6 months.
You need to be back in the USA again and don’t pass the period or you can loose the resident visa.
Will continue to keep her in my prayers for her quick response to this.
Hope she gets approved and visits with you real soon.
Start a petition if things don't go well with your local representative? You'd have a load of people ready to sign here. Prayers for Solo's Mom! Take care!
Sarah your explanation of a rant was hilarious!!!😂
I hope it doesn't take long to resolve the visa issues.
I’m so sorry this has happened. Praying for you all.
Your family is in my thoughts and prayers. I miss my Mom and Dad every day, they have been gone awhile. I am hoping you all are able to see your Mom soon!
I sure hope thing's can get worked out so she can visit her family here in the states. She surly is one beautiful lady !! 🩷
This! There’s a lot of displaced blame in this video. The family messed up and now they have to deal with the consequences.
@@nicolem5245my husband and I finally just finished with USCIS after four long years, so many tears, and even more money. It’s frustrating to hear them place blame elsewhere.
Totally agree with this comment. The family is not blameless. Must follow the rules. They are in place for a reason.
Amen
I am so sorry your going thru this not being to get your mom visit I hope and pray this all gets resolved soon ❤.. hugs 🤗
Morning all happy Tuesday morning and I loved your vlogs and you all amazing Supporter and I'm proud of all of you
I am sorry for your frustration! I will pray there is resolution and you are reunited with Solo’s mom soon🙏🙏🙏
I am so sorry that this is happening to Solo's mother. I know it can be very frustrating. I am praying over this situation and peace amongst all of you because this can be hard on everyone! I hope she can come soon to see her family ❤
Praying this all gets resolved. Lord, grant Solo's mom favor in this situation. ❤ Bring peace and hope into all their hearts. Blessings.
Well, we are just going to have to pray about this, as a grandmother and a seasoned adult, I know I would have been nervous too,, HUgs~ Lea
I'm so sorry to hear this!! How frustrating and upsetting for you all. I hope a letter for representation can help. It's really unfair to know she was barely given 2 mins for the interview and not being given chance to explain. 😭💕💕
Thanks for sharing. Hopefully someone can write a letter for her
What a huge impact on the family. 💕💙🙏🏾🙏🏾
I hope things get better so she can come visit soon I love to watch her cook, she is a beautiful lady.
Sorry to hear this Solo and Sarah, I wonder if there is anything us supporters can do to help?
This was the most polite rant I’ve ever heard! ❤️👵😇 This situation is so absurd considering what is happening on our southern border! God bless you guys! ❤️😇👵
Correct! USA is a mess BUT still allowing “others” who knows who they are to enter! Sham
Uggg...
So true what Solo said ... You either have less money or less time. 😔
This is so heartbreaking. I hope everything works out for your Mom.
After the house sells, Solo and the 3 youngest kids should go to Kenya. All is well.
I am so very sorry for this! I live overseas and I've been denied visas before as well. It is hard. I am praying for God's peace that passes all understanding, for you to have abundant wisdom and discretion, and that you would see God do exceedingly abundantly above anything you could ask or think.
Praying that this frustrating situation can be resolve soon & that Solo's mom will be able to visit soon. Much love❣
There are so many terrible things going on in the world and they're picking on a grandmother who stayed a few days too late... So frustrating!!!
No, they aren't. They are enforcing the same rules in the same way for everyone. Each person in line who has overstayed their visa believes their own personal story should be allowed .
we will keep agreeing with you in prayer. I so enjoy seeing Solo's family everyone,💖I also enjoyed the trip to Kenya when Sarah was expecting Seth💖
I hope going or writing to some representatives get things cleared up for gramma and the family,so heartbreaking ❤
Praying for your mother and your family that this all gets worked out.
Oh so sorry Solos mom was not allowed to visit that's sad and so unfair , hope something more can be done about this 🙏🏾🙏🏾🙏🏾 🌲🌲🌲🧚🕊️💐😘💕
Joining you in prayer that this gets resolved and Solo’s mom can come to America for her visit with you.
So sorry for Solo's mother and your family. The red tape and arbitariness of the embassy employee caused such heartache. Prayers there will be a solution soon.
That’s sad! She just wants to see her family. Praying things will change so she can visit soon. Life is too short she needs to be with her family. ❤
Funny do things the legal way and get denied! While everyone else just walks in!
