Excellent suggestions. I will be sure to do that on the next one. I actually had it in my notes to check the compass at the beginning and accidentally skipped over it. This house is on city mains and water and has that rain collection barrel as an alternate water source. I will be sure to include it on the next one.

that is the nicest shower ive seen in a potugese video. every other shower ive seen has been the smallest and cheapest they could find, no matter how nice the bathroom.
I couldn't believe they gave all three bathrooms those showers, too! Not just the "main" bathroom. And I have not had a chance to use any of them, but I was assured they made for a lovely shower experience.
it takes a decent amount of water pressure, but those shower panels are great.@@ExploringinPortugal

We live in Central Portugal and that's the where our realtor is based, but I hope to travel all over the country sharing the areas and homes in them. It may take some time but we're working on it!
You talked so much about loving everything about the house, yet you didn’t buy it.
Yes we ultimately wanted more land as we plan to raise chickens and sheep. Chickens would have fit on this property great but we needed more than 1040m2 of land for sheep. We did strongly consider scrapping all those plans but then we found a property that had the land we wanted. We will be bringing more lifestyle videos soon explaining all of that and showing the house we eventually went with. I will say that this house was in much better condition than the house we bought and we frequently talk about it and how we could just be living and not doing all of these projects right now. I think that made it into the video when we were outside by the kitchen.
Quality remodel. Not my style of furnishings. Strand board in the kitchen a negative.
For all you get, a very good price and saves a TON of aggravation of not having to remodel !

I'm not sure the furniture would all stay, so something that could be negotiated if you don't want it. We should be seeing more of Cody in the future. I swear he's not just a bodiless voice and occasional man in the mirror. Have to show off the impressive beard at some point.

But I must say this is a beautiful property I wish I had the money.
They do admit to moving the kitchen. But it was even smaller before they did.
Why do houses in Portugal not have ceiling fans.
I'm not exactly sure but I have a theory:
Portugal houses tend to have lower ceilings. Newer builds are excluded, but older homes usually are lower. Cody has to duck through doorways a lot because he's tall. A ceiling fan would be dangerous. So maybe they just weren't common due to lower ceilings and a lot of stone houses staying cool in the summer without them.
But, that's just my theory.

The annex is built against the property line in that side but it’s a full detached home. You can see the neighbor in that side when the video starts.
