Guessing the cost of 1st fill European Oak Sherry Barrels of high quality is pretty steep. More time in barrel I'm guessing, too. All of which conspire to make the Sherry cask expression more expensive.
I was able to find some Kavalan miniatures while wondering the streets of Hong Kong last month and this was one of them. It was pretty decent but at 40%, lacked some flavour.. The No 1 wasnt that great. But the Oloroso Sherry Cask (54% abv) was a real winner.

Trust me, its also expensive even in Taiwan haha, our climate here is too hot so the maturation
