still find it crazy that two youtube channels i watched like 6-10 years apart are tied together by one mustard eating weirdo. Two best friends play was one of my first youtube channels i watched religiously in high school now as an adult a watch a horse yell at me about Synecdoche, New York.
Adam’s first roll of the game being a nat 1 is so perfect
I mean I can understand Adam playing it with controller given that all of his limbs are failing him, but playing an isometric game with one seems like complete torture to me.
they honestly did a really good job on the controller integration, the super far zoom honestly makes exploring different; you appreciate the details more.
Compared to PC, the interface is absolutely atrocious.
I play a lot of crpgs with both and BG3 has, bar none, the best controller integration. I love how far you can zoom and take in the details. Looting is slightly more finnicky, but it doesn't take me much longer to take my turns than my mouse and keeb friends. The radial menus are pretty intuitive and you get muscle memory for it real fast. I also just prefer using an analog stick to move. It feels more like I'm the character rather than like I'm ordering them around. If positioning your party members before every encounter was something you cared about I would still suggest mouse and keeb, but if you just keep them grouped together most times, then controller is pretty great.
The controller support is decent.

I so very wish to lend you my arms for 15 minutes just so you could play this game with the PC menu-ing options for an extended period.
You can view and organize everything on the fly, you have a stupid amount of leeway to dick around with the camera and movement with just a few clicks, and I feel like the game is easier to learn with the PC UI.
Scoot is annoyingly subpar at explaining how this game works. Not horrible, its clear she's actually trying n also is giving him freedom to just mess around but there's alot of stuff she shoulda just said up front that'd make this easier instead of answering his actual questions with "oh this does a uh a uh a thing"
She might not be a power gamer either. Its also easy to ruin someones gameplay experience by explaining too much

Any update on the Sekiro play-through? Elden Ring is probably years off lol....
considering Adum has been experiencing pretty bad joint issues since he started the 2019 Lion King review, i feel like any game requiring actual dexterity with the controller is out of the cards for who knows how long. hope he recovers, but i don't think he really likes those types of games anyhow... personally i want to see Adum actually enjoying more games he plays, or at least ones he can riff on effectively.
@@some_condiment nah hes been playing them. he finished sekiro actually i believe and is pretty well into elden ring. it just takes a long time to edit.
@@johnnytacos8171 ahhh fair i guess i'll have to defer on you to that one; i don't watch the streams so i just assumed that he wouldn't be playing them due to joint issues and the fact that i remember him being super pissed at Hollow Knight so Elden Ring or Sekiro would be totally out of the ballpark for him. good to know though! hope he's having fun and that chat isn't misleading him like they did in his Hollow Knight playthrough...
