I am as we speak knitting on my Niamh sweater in kinross 4ply, the bright red. I prewashed the yarn and I love it so much! The yarn took more than 2 months to arrive from the UK to The Netherlands, and I cast it on just today and now I cannot stop working on it :-) I wish it were easier available in Europe. Thanks for the podcast, I always enjoy your company.

Your Lumme sweater turned out so perfectly. I love the colours that you chose. Also, those egg socks! So cute!
I'm (still) working on the Azor sweater by Orlan Sucche. To your point about yokes, this sweater has a very interesting construction: the colourwork yoke is worked in a circule as normal, but then there are a handful of rows of raglan increases just below. These raglan increases define the armscye soooo beautifully and I think it allows a much freer movement than a regular circular yoke. There's also lots of very thoughtful shortrows... overall, a really beautifully shaped pattern. I wanted to try one of Orlan's patterns for awhile since everyone said as much. :) Highly recommend! I already have three more of her patterns in my queue, haha... at this point I'd like to knit pretty much everything she's ever designed.
To your question about a straightforward DK weight sweater, she has a few patterns that may fit the bill!

I adore your color work sweater! Lovely job! I watched the podcast while home from work due to a very bad cold. The bonus for me is that I was able to complete my Fervent sweater. I made it long sleeved with a longer body and more positive ease than the pattern allows. Our weather is warming up quickly (California) so it is just in time to get one wearing out of it before it hibernates until next November! Thanks for your podcast!

I'm finally putting the sleeves on the strawberry Vintersol sweater for my niece, while wearing my own "Elsa" coloured Vintersol 😁 I got totally hooked on stranded colourwork so I did an all-over-snowflakes and fir tree sweater with northern lights in the background which also still needs sleeves... I recently learned that "sleeve island" is a thing, I only knew about second sock syndrome.

Today while watching your podcast I knit up a swatch for the Cumulus Tee using KFO soft silk. It's my first time using KFO and I'm surprised the silk feels more like cotton and less like bamboo! I am learning so much about fiber...

We (coastal NC) had an extended false spring and it dampened my enthusiasm for wool. I cast on Viola Tee using Cascade Ultra Pima. Now we are back into winter but here at the end of March, I know actual spring weather is coming soon and a cotton tee will be practical.

I really enjoyed seeing all of your beautiful creations as I was knitting on the heel turn & gusset decreases on a pair of socks. As a suggestion for a DK weight, dropped shoulder sweater, I have my eye on the Rockpool Sweater by Lily Kate France. Thank you for another lovely podcast, Vanissia. I am currently performing open heel surgery on my bootleg Sunday socks. I had worn a great big hole in them before I even realised so it’s too big to darn. I’ve picked up all of the stitches around the heel flap and gussett and have them held on dpns and have cut out the whole of the heel. I’m hoping that I can figure out a way to knit it back in 🤓🤞🏼

You’re lumme is beautiful! I was one of the test knitters for that sweater and had the opposite problem with my yoke- mine came out too long and the sleeves were way too long. I am planning to re knit it one day with modifications to make it fit me better. I also tested her Urban Adventure sweater.
Right now I’m testing 2 sweaters and knitting a pair of socks

Hi Vanissia, Greetings from Massachusetts. I just started subscribing to your channel and am catching up on previous episodes, but what I have seen so far I have really enjoyed. Your knitting is beautiful and inspiring and I just love your project choices and hearing about your knitting process. I loved seeing all the lovely things you knit in 2022 and the Lumme is GORGEOUS! Do you find the Cascade 220 to be comfortable in terms of softness? Looking forward to watching you achieve your knitting goals that you make along the way. I have been knitting the No Frills sweater in Valley Yarns Peru while watching this!

thank you very much ! And yes i find the cascade 220 to be very comfortable and soft, and my boyfriend also agrees (he's more sensitive than me) so it's really a perfect choice for an affordable sweater that i dont think will pill as much as a merino would, for example, but is still comfy with just a tshirt underneath. Didn't feel anything on my arms !
