The demon killed his sister Maggie and Isaac blames himself which is why he dresses up as her (Magdeline). Then it drives him insane so he suffocates himself inside of a chest.
Ending 1: Isaac transforming into Eden. Ending 2: Isaac and the Rubber Cement. That creeped me out. Ending 3: Isaac hangs himself with the noose he found. Isaac, why?! Ending 4: Isaac jamming the...wire coat hanger...into his head. Ow...the wire piercing through his... Ending 5: Mom's arm grabbing Isaac and laughs after closing the chest. Ending 6: Isaac throwing up in the chest and explodes. Is that where you unlock...Ipecac, right? Ending 7: Isaac finds a syringe with yellow fluid in it then tests it then...turns into something weird. Ending 8: Isaac finds a Quarter. Ending 9: Isaac finds the... (I forgot what it's called) ...and appears with the top hat and a monocle. Ending 10: Isaac discovers ??? (the dead version of Isaac where he asphyxiated himself to death). Asphyxiated, as in suffocated or something... Ending 11: Isaac finds something and It Lives (the boss that replaces Mom's Heart) appears behind him. Ending 12: All the other characters in the game with the final scene being Isaac in his room locking himself in the chest. Ending 13: Isaac, reading the Bible, looks at the mirror and finds himself being full of sin and looks at the chest. Ending 14: All that I can describe here are a bunch of pictures with Isaac, his mother and his father...with the demonic shadow in one of the pictures. Ending 15: Outside their house, the Missing Poster in the foreground with Isaac's mother in the background looking around. Ending 16: Isaac turning into...Demonic Isaac. At the end part of the ending, where he transforms into a demon, the normal Isaac stops breathing and the Demonic Isaac starts it...

My theory, not the stupid game theory one (normally love their theories though) Is that Issac HAS been trapped in his room, however there is no basement and killer mom. He has slowly gone insane and has created a world, the other characters are not Issac dressed up, but him giving his insane mind some company. He eventually wants death to come, He is in fact willing when he dies to give everything to his [dead] cat guppy. As he began to greet death his imaginary world becomes increasingly weird (All the enemies with the bloody based theme). As 90% of you know ??? (Blue Baby) is a dead Issac, ??? Is not representing that death scares Issac (like GT said) but that he doesn't understand what is in the afterlife. Issac has sinned his past, and his overly religious mother (identified by the number of religious item in the opening scene), has trapped him away. When you fight Issac in the cathedral, this is Issac confronting himself. No matter the outcome Issac dies. The ending in which Issac is "suffocating" in the chest makes no sense. (There is a keyhole, an open space). He has attempted to kill himself many times, and every run you do is another attempt, however he can't do it. Issac struggling to breath is the realization that he cannot die. After the Issac fight you move to the chest (A place where I believe Issac hides when he tries to kill himself). In the chest most of the rooms are boss fights, the hardest enemies in the game, and the ones most likely to kill Issac. When you finish the chest you fight blue baby, while blue baby has simple attacks, they are slightly stronger. ??? Doesn't want to die, but gently greets with yet another chest, What's in that chest you ask? Another blue baby, another run.
CommonChicken "suffocating" does make sense. You're not going to get a whole lot of oxygen from that keyhole if you hyperventilate or breathe to quickly. If you've ever played the original game, then you'd realise that in one of the loading screens that there is an Isaac hyperventilating with an emaciated look. Couple that with the fact that you go blue due to lack of oxygen (*cyanosis*), it's easy to assume that the blue baby is isaac's future, that the real Isaac realises when he contemplates on whether to enter the chest. Simple.

As he began to greet death his imaginary world becomes increasingly weird (All the enemies with the bloody based theme).
As 90% of you know ??? (Blue Baby) is a dead Issac, ??? Is not representing that death scares Issac (like GT said) but that he doesn't understand what is in the afterlife.
Issac has sinned his past, and his overly religious mother (identified by the number of religious item in the opening scene), has trapped him away. When you fight Issac in the cathedral, this is Issac confronting himself. No matter the outcome Issac dies. The ending in which Issac is "suffocating" in the chest makes no sense. (There is a keyhole, an open space). He has attempted to kill himself many times, and every run you do is another attempt, however he can't do it. Issac struggling to breath is the realization that he cannot die.
After the Issac fight you move to the chest (A place where I believe Issac hides when he tries to kill himself). In the chest most of the rooms are boss fights, the hardest enemies in the game, and the ones most likely to kill Issac. When you finish the chest you fight blue baby, while blue baby has simple attacks, they are slightly stronger. ??? Doesn't want to die, but gently greets with yet another chest, What's in that chest you ask? Another blue baby, another run.
CommonChicken "suffocating" does make sense. You're not going to get a whole lot of oxygen from that keyhole if you hyperventilate or breathe to quickly. If you've ever played the original game, then you'd realise that in one of the loading screens that there is an Isaac hyperventilating with an emaciated look. Couple that with the fact that you go blue due to lack of oxygen (*cyanosis*), it's easy to assume that the blue baby is isaac's future, that the real Isaac realises when he contemplates on whether to enter the chest.
Simple.

+DrGamePro619 hmmmm..... i played the game and that's the "happpy" ending xD ? nahhh there is no happy ending in this game btw he'll die from hunger xD in this chest where he thinks he can hide from his mum... Just like the blue baby.
