@@mariolondyn50istnieje coś takiego jak wolność gospodarcza, a słowa generała odnoszą się do wszystkiego. My o wszystko walczymy a nie prosimy. Ludzie mają coraz więcej i żyją coraz lepiej, mimo duszącej ręki kolejnych nieudolnych, zdradzieckich i pysznych rządów.

Emigration has been of great importance for Poland's development in the last decade. Poles worked hard abroad and sent money to Poland. They saved to build houses, buy apartments, etc. I have been living in the UK for 15 years and during this time I supported my mother every month not only for normal life, but also for renovations and major purchases. Some Poles returned with money, fueling the development of construction companies and buying real estate. Nobody counts it, but millions of dollars flowed into Poland from abroad every month from countries all over Europe and beyond, because Poles can be found on every continent.

15:25 poles always liked to argue about the smallest things, but it never prevented us from achieving goals for the common good (except for the situation with the occupation of moscow in 1610-1612 where the nobility argued for 2 years who to put on the throne in moscow but this is a complicated case and a completely different history)

The political split is being somewhat oversold here. The majority of population is still considered to be right leaning/left leaning centrists with different ideas for details of the general direction of the country. The actual political extremes are a minority, though a very vocal one and generously funded from abroad. As for the 'breaking the rule of law' it was recently proven to be a ridiculous media fabrication and just some internal EU political back-and-forth pushing that is a very common place in Brussels. Poland happened to be pushed against in this one with some corrupted EU parliamentarians that were recently caught red-handed who were driving it and paid to do so. EU politics often get pretty crazy with different countries trying to strongarm one another using the EU and paid, made-up media narratives all the time. Things like that were one of the bigger reasons why UK left, if I remember correctly - 'laws governing the lives of British citizens can only be decided by officials elected in United Kingdom and not the ones in Germany' was the quote I think.

Poland has been breaking the rule of law since the current conservative party came to power, they started when the new Prime Minister B. Szydlo ordered not to print the judgment of the Constitutional Tribunal, which in a rule of law is a final judgment, then next PiS has transformed the institutions of a democratic state into façade institutions. In a democracy, they are not a façade, but are autonomous and play the role of balancing the power of goverment.

In fact, Poles have been highly polarized for many decades (literally even within families) and that hasn't really affected anything if it's about the economy. The second issue: it is not true that mainly foreign large technology companies invest in Poland. For me, the situation is 50/50. And in some areas, Polish investments dominate (IT in the e-financial sector, biotechnologies, modern technologies in cosmetics or materials science, in space technologies, or automotive or electric motors).

Very insightful content. I wonder if you could consider creating an bio-vid about Jan Karski or Witold Pilecki? I feel as if their heroic stories are unknown to some ppl. Basically they've made their life mission to inform the world about the atrocities conducted by the Germans. The Hollywood movies don't fully portray those crimes as they were FAR worse in real life. I had some filmmaking / acting experience and I swear it's about time to accurately represent Jewish/Polish bravery and German's cruelty. My whole family was affected by WWII. I had a Jewish uncle who was a Holocaust survivor and lost his mother during a Nazi raid when he was only 14. We have to keep the memory about it alive no matter how painful it may seem. Also; equally important is the story of Irena Sendler and Julian Grobelny.

At this point we're choosing the lesser evil and try to survive and amke our beloved country even stronger and stronger. Sadly religion is still big part in politics in Poland because Poles are very religious and PiS (current leading party) is very pro-catholic they even give some of the tax money to the church and what's bad about it is that there are lots of priests, bishops etc. known to be extremly greedy and another issue is how pedophilia among them is handled (basiclly they try to silnecne everyone). That created a split between us, one sided has enough of catholic church's bullshit and the other one is protecting them. the conservative one is mostly old generation. I am 18 yrs old and know maybe 5 or 6 truly religious people the rest doesn't give a shit about them.

The most important factor to take into account about Poland's growth is a national bad habit - complaining. Polish people love to complain about everything, and this is a nuclear reaction in Polish culture. If complaining disappears, there will be no growth. This is a national power even though all of us hate these negative emotions, but it has been working since the partitions, probably. All complaining and authorities must do something; after that, there is another step - more complaining, and authorities must do something, and so on. The rest of it is only small factors. Seriously.

Born in 1987, all i saw in my early life was terrible politicians, sad environment and previous, communist generation mindset that "i should just let it go and live quietly". Then I've learned english, got the internet, and understood that this approach is just f**ked up and there are loooots of options for me. I took them, worked my ass off for a bit to learn useful stuff, then 201x and 202x came, suddenly it became clear that most of people in the west were too lazy when it mattered and you can easily out-level them with these skills. I'm a programmer, working with UK companies for 7 years now, I see the difference in people's approach between our countries, I think it might be the same for other branches as well.
Hopefully this mindset to get focused, learn your job well, don't get yourself silenced and out-level people out there will remain in this nation, sincerely hope it will, although it's not easy when you're born in an "easy country" I think, that may become a problem.

and yea, Poland took a lot from EU, but it's not like other EU countries didn't get their returns from Poland, (ie. telecom market in Poland is basically taken by France and Germany, major supermarket chains are portugal and german etc), it was a fair trade, which I think is pretty awesome.
division within Poland is similar to US imo. problem is that the EU doesn't like certain ways of doing politics and has its favorites in each country, but that's more like EU problem really, political divisions and different sympathies in free countries are natural, we could unite when natural disasters happened, when war broke, when Ukraine people came in, we will be able to do it when it's needed, we always did.

Seemingly a joke but not really a joke. 99% of Poles live by the motto such as: we do the impossible at once and for miracles we need three days. If you don't know how to do something, you watch a tutorial on YT or ask your brother-in-law xD As a young girl at university, I used to earn money during the vacations in the UK. I was a housekeeper in a hotel. I worked with a woman from the UK. Once in one of the rooms the closet door was loose. I did my part and then took a knife from the kitchen and fixed the door. I didn't know that a colleague had previously called the repair team! Two professionals arrived with a box full of tools.... To the loose door ... Of course, I understand that this is their job but still ... It took me less than 5 minutes. Just a different mentality.

The Labour party says the reason Poland is projected to overtake the UK is because of Brexit, But this is false, because the Polish economy has been out performing the UK and most western countries for the past 30 years, it's obvious that most Labour party voters who make this false claim about brexit are just finding out about Poland's success and aren't willing to reflect and come to terms of accepting their own faults. Poland was the only country to avoid the 2008 financial recession and was the top economic performer in the EU Post-COVID. So, sorry, but voting for the labor party isn't gonna change anything. Also, the Labour party governed from 1964 to 1970 and 1974 to 1979. In 2007, Labor party leader James Gordon Brown served as Prime Ministe from 2007 to 2010, this was during Poland's rise to power. But Poland also deserves this success no matter if the English and Irish are willing to accept it or not.

It's simple. We are the biggest beneficiary of development funds from the EU, which means that all Europeans contribute primarily to supporting the Polish economy. We have a relatively low level of corruption and skilfully use the funds given to us for development - we simply transfer them to development. International entrepreneurs say that we have low taxes, although Poles do not feel it. And most importantly - we do not charge money for the maintenance of hundreds of thousands of illegal migrants because we simply do not take them with us, and the Ukrainians and Belarusians who have recently come to us want to work and pay taxes, which strengthens our economy.

1st. This is The fact that brexit was paid by russians to happen.
2nd it is fact that Everly spend 1 euro in Poland 80 or even 90 cents is came back to the 4 countries: germany, france, netherlands and Belgiem (i can be wrong about the 4th). This is a new colonism here.
3rd the Poland is a country with a rule of law. UE wants to force us to be ruled by Polish (any) goverment and any decision by the should be made by UE. Law reforms were made to be similar for the german one or netherlands and spain. We cannot do that. Politics from Germany can easy Breaks any UE law and this is not a problem. Poland not even to compere? We must pay milions of Euros fee. Coruption in the UE by UAE or russia? Great! Poland wants to rule by themself? Wrong! Give them another fee.
Coal mines can by operate at The same area by The Germany or Czechia? That good. Polish coal mine? It is illegal, you must close it.
I dont like The our goverment but they did nithing wrong.
4th. Yes. We are divided by political choises. But not bit so much. Most likely like democrats and republicans in USA.
Both Civil Platform (PO) and Law and Justice (PIS) are central-lewist, social parties. Very very similar to themselfs. They fight each other for last 20 years.
Also it is common knowlage that russian and Germany spend milions of euros to divide The Polish citizents.
But this is a political dovide. As Nation we are holding still.
5rd we have free speech. Really you can speak or write freeely. We also have a very, very safe country. Jews, arabs, lbgt and other miniorities, can freely move, work, speak, be politians, full spectre of posibilities.

Like a plane. It wants to fly left sometimes right sometimes left but it always goes straight. Polish people now think and feel. It is time to go left.

it is true, from the 1990s until recently, Poland was developing quickly and consistently catching up with Western countries. Unfortunately, for 8 years we have been ruled by people who, for unknown reasons, decided to stop this progress and take us back to the times of the Polish People's Republic.

@@kml8732 giving away previously earned money (earned by others) and taking out huge loans just for consumption will not result in further development!!! Yes, it gives the impression for a moment that there is a lot of money, but IN A MOMENT YOU WILL HAVE TO START PAYING IT OFF!!! But to understand this, you need at least basic economic knowledge! Mert, as a Scot, was rather an opponent of Brexit and can tell you what will end up with pulling Poland out of the EU and how the UK came out of it. Only in the case of London can it naturally aim at Washington, and we, unfortunately, towards Moscow :((
