The barrier that was used on Tempest was dual layered, one was Anti-magic, the other was a monster weakening one. They're only placing the Anti-magic barrier on the road and made it sound like it will scare away monsters and prevent big ones from spawning, so anything that does show up will be able to be dealt with just normal warriors.
Rimuru isn't as bad as Ains, most of what Benimaru and the rest do is based on stuff Rimuru taught them, only Diablo comes up with the intricate (and messed up) plans that Rimuru just doesn't WANT to think up because he tries to be nice.

Not really.
There are a lot of parallels to be made, but there are also essential differences.
First, Rimuru is more aware of "the plan". Diablo, like Demiurge, is a master planner who can create a scheme with several layers of purposes and intricacies. But Raphael lets him follow most of them where Ainz is just left with his own human-level intelligence. Ainz is not dumb, but nowhere near as smart as his own subordinates.
Second, Rimuru doesn't need to act tough and smart in front of his people. He can ask questions and clarifications without the fear of losing face.
Third, and the most important point, Rimuru is the one making actual decisions. The finer details can and will be left to his capable subordinates, but the overall planning is generally done in a strategy meeting and he has the final say.

He is not as emotionless as Ainz, but at times you see that he also lost a bit of humanity.
Anti-magic barrier is useful because traveling passengers won't get hurt from unintelligent monsters. It has to be as a part of road because it has low range.
12:15 Gobuta self-destructing is pretty hilarious. Then again, Gobuta self-destructing in creative ways is a recurring joke.
That said, I love Rimuru's brand of leadership. He gives you an important project, but 1. recognizes the possibility of failure and just sees it as a chance to improve and 2. promises full support in case anything happens.
That's pretty far from the more common kind of leader who will 1. pressure you with "failure is not an option" and 2. leaves you out to the lions if anything happens.
Rimuru is not the same as Ainz. Rimuru is literally nearly always coming up with the plans. Even without Raphael, his intelligence is off the charts. Also, I know Ainz being clueless is like a running gag at this point, but don't get it twisted, Ainz is no slouch, he is just surround by giga brained people like Demi and Albedo.
Regarding the anti magic device, light novel explains it well, they are placed all throughout the roads that connects tempest to rest of the world , so when regular humans or really anybody comes to visit tempest, no monsters would spawn, similar to how torches stop monsters from spawning in Minecraft, anti magic area works not by preventing magic but actually reducing magiclues inside it , so no magicules near road equals safer travel routes for merchants and visitors

"Raphael" aka "The Great Sage" is like a super computer built into Rimuru's mind
Even the people with highest intellect cannot compete with the predictions that Raphael comes up with and it's truly what makes Rimuru an unnstopppable force and immovable object at the same time

Raphael is a ultimate skill, which is the top of the hierarchy. Only other ultimate skills can compare, of which there are only a few.
You're right that Raphael doesn't make Rimuru invincible, but it is still a formidable tool in his arsenal as the cornerstone of his other skills.

I don't understand why people don't like slime anime meetings. You know slime is an anime concept of Worldbuilding, political relations, diplomacy, and so on. Because slime is not a shounen anime where every episode is action. So if you are waiting for the action of Rimuru, Diablo and friends, please be patient for all 😁😁.

To clarify some misconceptions, 2 barriers were used against them:
1 Anti-Magic Area, where no one can invoke or cast a spell and which also interferes with some magical tools.
2 Holy Field that weakens monsters by dispersing their mana in the air. The Anti-Magic Area was used in the city to block communications and teleportation spells, it is not necessarily harmful, but most magical creatures would avoid it.
No matter how many talking they do, we always end up looking forward for the next episode and i love it. This anime has always been about the world building, perfectly scratching the civilization building itch that we have

I was wondering why wouldn't he be able to help his dragon friend by "eating" part of his aura in the same way.
After all, he was containing all of Veldora even before Gluttony evolved, so it shouldn't be too difficult to do it at least once in a while now.
And he know has another skill that links him to Veldora, so this might make it even easier.
So, I know the solution they will come up with... or rather the solution that will come up to them... but I was wondering about this for a while.

I'm sire others are saying g the same thing, but the anti magic barrier wasn't what caused them issues last season. The everyone thought it was the issue because thats what Muran was seen doing and everyone went week mediately after she put it up. But what weekend them was the church's Holly magic barrier which was delayed at the same time. Anti magic barriers don't weeken the monsters, Diablo put one up in his fight against Razen, rimuru put one up when he destroyed all the soldiers, all it prevents is spells and magic from being cast within.
Strong enough monsters can over come this to an extent as well.
So, basically, these act as monster blocki g barriers along the roads to keep them safe for defenseless travelers. Thays all

Then again, even they have something ongoing: they're planning to topple Farmus' current king. After they toppled the previous one. Pretty devious plot if you ask me.

The show makes a pretty good attempt at hiding the movements of all these influences for now.
But there are still hints that nefarious plots are building up behind the scenes.

At least we're out of the yapping, and moving on to the next yapping from the looks of it. Also the barrier only lessen the magicule density (Benefits: less toxic to humans and less monster spawning. Demerits: weakens monsters, jk, it doesn't). Doesn't it show that Rimuru actually understood a lot? Like, he didn't made some of the plans, but that doesn't mean he's not completely out of it. Bro, next time, I advice taking coffee before watching a new tensura ep, cuz it might be another info dump.

The Barrier ahs two uses for them. First it keeps dangeres Monster away from the road. Second it lower the mana density in the air, that at a high concentration is dangerous for humans and weak monster/demon humanoids. like rimurus Mana has faeared and hurt the goblins, as well Veldoras Mana and i believe Benimaru, Shuna and Shion are facing similiar problems. Its like a air Filter that humans can stay for a long time if they want in unisen with the Monsters.

No. The basic concept is similar but the effect is different.
They're not trying to cripple themselves, but to keep wild monsters away. I'm not sure how the barrier will make a distinction between the wild monsters and the civilized ones, but there does seem to be a distinction within "the system", so magic can likely differentiate on this basis.
Also, monsters can be born from a high concentration of "magicules" in the atmosphere, so this device absorbs them to reduce the risk of wild monster being born this way.
Overall, consider this a pest repellant.
Edit: As a reminder, "barrier" is a pretty generic term. Basically, it's a magical effect deployed on a large scale.
Even last time, there were two different magic barriers at play: monster weakening (from the church) and anti-magic (from Myulan).
Then Raphael (Rimuru's evolved skill) created yet another one to keep the souls of the dead monsters between the moment the first two barriers were removed and the resurrection of the monsters.
You see, barriers are quite varied.
