- Recently Insta released their Insta 360 X3 camera. Using this camera you can record high-quality 360 videos. Once you record the video the editing process is not that interesting. You have to use insta studio to reframe your video. But today I'll show you how you can edit and reframe 360 footage from insta 360 x3 using Adobe Premiere Pro.

Looking to buy a fast video editing tablet ,i noticed export of a 4K video from 360 camera footage is very slow in the insta360 app.
Which of the following would you recommend for very fast exports ?

I'm just wondering what kind of hardware you use to edit these videos? And what would be the best settings to match with my hardware.
I'm struggling with performance, especially when encoding. Adobe Media Encoder keeps crashing when I try to create the proxies. And when rendering the final video in Premiere, it can take hundreds of hours. Yes, hundreds.
So, I must be doing something wrong. My computer is powerful enough to have a rather smooth editing experience for "regular videos", but I have not figured out the correct settings for 360 videos. I have a Windows PC, if that makes a difference for recommended proxy files or export settings.
Ps. I'm not an expert video editor/producer.

I tried it just the way you show it using Premiere 2024. Everything works except the export, the stitching gets totally messed up. Any idea what the issue could be? I can see this problem using the 3D viewer in Premiere already, it stitches perfectly reframing but the export is an issue.
i've done everything exactly the same as in this video but my clips won't combine :((

How did you get rid of selfie stick from showing in the shadow on ground? I assume you were holding selfie stick over your shoulder as you walked away
how did you open premier from insta360 studio ? I downloaded the plugin & studio both but how does it open in premier?
there is an option on my studio to send clip to premiere pro. Are you using Premiere pro 2023?

I'm not able to move the POV dragging on the screen in Adobe Premiere, just by touching the effects options. How did you put that? EDIT: Oh ok it worked with the one you used 1 year ago, the GoPro FX Reframe. The thing is they have now also the Insta360 Reframe and with that one it doesn't work.

I'm getting a message on premier that the .insv file is not supported. I've already downloaded insta studio and the plug-in as well. Is there another setting that I have to change in premier?
Please check the path: Mac: /Library/Application Support/Adobe/Common/Plug-Ins/7.0/MediaCore/, if there is a file called insta360importer.prm.
Try to reinstall the Insta360 Studio
As an alternative solution, you could export the video from Studio2021 at first, then import it to Premiere Pro.

Yes, premiere pro is not a free app. You can use Insta 360 Studio to edit 360 video for free

While using the lens guard... When the light is strong, the shape of the lens guard is occasionally recorded on the screen. Is there a way to remove it?
no there isn't any way!
If you dont transcode them they are pain to edit even on m1 max or my 12900k with 2080 and 64gb ddr5!
granted I have to do lots of blurring and other effects and motion graphics. Can edit basic fine but its constantly trying to stich the two files if you don't transcode first.
I have also found that if you are keeping it a 360 video as i do in my case proxies dont line up when you change the view of the camera with any 360 effect.
Hi, i noticed the final video was glitchy when you turned and walked off? how do you prevent that ?
You can eliminate that glitches by making the keyframe distance a bit longer and adding ease in/ ease out

@@1vaoracle what I did was just edit it on insta 360 app, it's alot easier, exported it and then used the footage in Adobe, Adobe doesn't seem to like insta 360 clips

May I know the specs of your laptop or desktop that you are using, i.e., video card and memory because when I begin to edit in premiere pro, the video is still very jerky although I have already created proxies. I shoot with insta360 x3 at 5.7k/30.
Decrease the playback resolution to 1/2 or 1/4. I guess that will solve the issue

@@orlandobaez5396 No I was trying to import LRV_ files, it has to be VID_ at the beginning of the file's name. The camera seems to make both when recording.
