I bought a refurbished-grade A dell latitude 7280 with 3 years warranty for 310 €. i use both windows 10 and mint and works perfectly. battery lasts from 4 hours to 9 hours depending on the task you are doing. i think at that price is a best buy
Did this very replacement this week and for the first time the laptop wouldn't boot Had to go round some error messages a few times and boot into Windows safe mode, after that it was fine.
I'm a Field Service Technician and I have some basic precision tools to service computers but I like the automatic tool in which you are using in your video here. Where can I get that tool? The only screwdrivers I have are basic hand tools and not automatic. I did not know that there automatic precision tools to service computers. It would definitely speed up my work and most likely it will cut the clutter of carrying a lot of screwdrivers, etc. Please let me know the brand, name and a website link to Amazon or wherever I can purchase one. Thanks.
Just wonder if the different voltages of the batteries does not cause any problem. From what I read the small 42Wh is 11.4V and the 60Wh is only 7.6V Would appreciate if you can confirm that it works before ordering the bigger battery.
What was the larger battery model you replaced it with. My current one is a DJ1J0 but I didn't order an original any it doesn't seem to be detected. Do you recommend getting an original one?
Many Battery that have flooded the market with different models brands, look at the Amazon reviews because its a hit or missed when you purchase a battery and make sure it fits and that the power connection are properly connected. I don't have a recommendation at the moment because many choices.
I liked this model. I had a few retired at work that I have set aside for project machines. The best thing about it was it has an ethernet port where many of the newer machines in this form factor do not. The only thing I don't like about it is it only has one DIMM slot and I've only seen them with 16GB of RAM. I prefer the 5280 as it has two DIMM slots and supports 32GB of RAM on a nearly identical form factor.
Hi..thank you for this information..FYI.. I have similar issue ..mine is dell latitude 7280.. it has smaller battery..with code DJ1J0, 11,4v... Can you share the type of the larger battery that fit with latitude 7280?
Hey man. I did the same exact thing that you did here and my laptop now says that there is no battery. Do you have any ideas on what could be causing this or where I could have gone wrong?
Thanks a lot, great tutorial! Just replaced a large swollen battery with a smaller one

Great video. Do you have to save all of your hard drive on an external drive before changing the battery?
No need to do anything on the drives only disable Bitlocker if you have this enable and this should boot up normal.
