I retired a few of these at work and all of them had the swollen battery issue. Luckily you can find a Dell Replacement for about $70 or a generic for $30-40 - but compatibility is a bit suspect. Make sure you don't throw away the battery cable if you replace the battery, otherwise its a $15-$25 part!

That missing screw for the battery is filled by the captive screw in the middle of the base plate when you reassemble. Also, my i5 6200 (I think) plays GTA 5 with not too much eyecandy turned on at 1200 x 600 in a window. It's perfectly playable, but I guess it is 7 year old game
Is it worth to upgrade from 8gb ram to 16gb ram? For my needs 8g run well, but maybe it would run even faster with 16gb? Like lots of chrome browser tabs etc
Yes it's can be used for this as long as you don't have heavy graphical applications running that require rendering you should be ok. Perfect for programmers.
No dual channel support ! "Your candy crush, Facebook, basic needs" lol I'm running an old celeron in one system and can handle all "the basic needs" no problem this is an i7 lol

Hmm.. 5:45 it's actually wrong there - 1 cut means it's NVME SSD and 2 cuts is just SSD. NVME SSD is 3-6 times faster than SSD

Good point about the wire don't throw alway and don't trash the battery is e-waste. You can drop off on two location Bestbuy and Ikea for free

No you can by a 20mm Drive to us the WAM port you can also connect a PCI cable to external drive.

What is the 7280 worth in 2021. I saw one with i7 6600U processor, listed at 560 USD in very good condition.
Only if the CPU is i7, don't get the i5 I had many fail on me and overheating.

No it will not run faster but will help on the boot on application.

Yes, you can use the WAM slot for SSD but just make sure to to see the SSD on bios

Sorry, you don't know what you are talking about..... WWAN is for the wireless modem. Without that you can't do anything with a SIM card...

If you want dual channel support, look for the 5280, its a similar size. The 5480 is a bit better with Nvidia GTX960M offerings.
