As I'm watching, my thought is that the threaded version has a greater potential for failure. Over-tightening a threaded connection in search of a leak-free seal is bad enough with metal, but plastic is just asking for shattered and sheared threads.
You're also increasing the potential for infection with threaded connections, as the parts wear against each other and create microscopic scratches that can harbor pathogens.
There's a very good reason that 99% of parts in a production-scale brewery are sealed with tri-clamps.

You are absolutely right, and we couldn't agree with you more! The upgrade, although small, is massive for helping brewers make better beer.

Someday I'll replace my buckets... 22 years of using buckets. Cheap, easy, works well... But its the year of upgrades and first things first, sitting on pins and needles waiting for my Brewzilla Gen 4 220v.

I have a 1 year old Fermonster which is still good.
However, I have a Birhday coming up as well as Christmas, so the Tri-Conical is at the top of my list!
Because, the only thing better than making beer is making better beer!

I have two al rounders that I bought from you. I'll just get the tc cap to do dry hopping with the hop bong . Just need patience before Christmas 😉

Wow I'll have to run this by some others. The pinned tweet seems to be right about this.

Hey just a heads up. Not sure if you guys are aware but any time I try and go to your site my virus protection stops me and says you have an expired SSL certificate and it’s not safe. Might want to get that fixed.

I have the same thought about it as the, Pinned tweet does.
