The repetitive up and down the same quarries was the only downside.
I always used a different truck on tasks that were similar. Battling the repetition. Also, I tried different ways to get down and out of the quarry.
Round and round we go.

I haven't finished the region yet, but I've enjoyed it so far. It's another map like Ontario or North Carolina, where at least I can take out many different trucks from the garage, not always resorting to the same handful. I like the hazard of the crumbling rocks in the quarries, but the frequent coming and going from the quarries is starting to feel a bit tedious. I really like the 2 new trucks. The PLAD is predictably good, but the AAC-58DW positively surprised me: it's capable and quite enjoyable to drive (maybe because it's heavier than other scouts of its size). Thanks for the review! Cheers, Rick! I'm getting back into the UA-cam groove after some real life shizzle. You're right about the AAC, it's actually pretty solid and I enjoyed using it for the scouting stuff in Season 13. I think I'm just a bit scouted out lol.
thanks Ben! once I realized and accepted it as Tennessee-stan, I just shrugged and finished it. the new trucks are good and there were a few fun challenges, but the "haul out of quarry, haul in to quarry, repeat" got old pretty quick. as always, hoping next season will be better

Sometimes we really need some escapism so it's nice to give back a bit to the things we value! Glad you still enjoy the game.
It's easy if you line up crane trucks on every hill so y0u winch all crates up without going thru all that loop.

according to Snowrunner discord chat there is one more scout coming in the mid season update (13.5) as a paid extra dlc. 🤔🤔
I did see this, been a teaser image of it.
I've slated my Snowrunner thirst and rocked my way through this map and now leading the pack back in Expeditions Mudrunner, which I truly love for it's many challenges. Although I also enjoyed Dakar Rally and look at the cliff it drove over, but I do believe in the potential of Expeditions a lot as it's strategy depth, forward planning and slow driving skills are second to none.
Expeditions has a bad reputation but there is something rather different about it that could be moulded into something great. I suspect though that SnowRunner is simply more accessible by way of its open exploration and scenery.
Somehow I really enjoy season 13, the carry was great fun to go, the trail enjoyable to traverse and the new texture is looking fresh and crisp. Need a second more challenging map with more road connection to get less repetition.
A second map definitely helps break up monotony, it's especially noticeable here.

I just wish the PLAD didn't have the constant clacking sound, that stuff drives me nuts.
It really should only exist with the relevant exhaust and even then...
With the addition of such good and versatile trucks recently they should really dive into another really difficult region to push them to their limit. I'm not a sadist and I do value my limited time I have to play games but I do think it would be a good change of pace. Ever since Amur they've really dialed back the difficultly and only made trucks better
plad is quite decent heavy and slow but the tires and transmission are kinda unique multipurpose has better efficiency then adv special and well the tires are weird they are all unique they took the normal tires and changed them from the normal 200kg wheel weight into 600kg like the super heavy mud tires and ofc in true Saber fashion failed to mention it anywhere

I love seeing these updates, but I'm so far behind. I'm almost finished with Amur, which was a long slog of a region to get through.
That's one of the toughest but thankfully also quite varied compared to some seasons. Conquer there and you'll be golden for everything else so far!

Year 4 is looking like year 2, seasons with 1 map and farming making a return. I think I'll wait to purchase any new seasons from year 4

@@ATribeCalledCars In all fairness, they did say farming will be better executed this time. Season 13, despite only one map, is pretty good map, nicely designed and plenty of tasks & contracts.

Personally I’m ready for a next-gen Spintires successor. But since the season model is a good cash-cow we will not see a new game anytime soon. Just imagine this game on a new engine like UE5 and improved mud- and truck physics. Devs got lazy going for the easy money.

Made the mistake of playing Amur as my third map in this game.
After this, the game is a complete waste of time. No level design, no difficulty, no truck balance.
I'm pretty sure people were complaining about difficulty when the hardcore ice regions came out.

@@iluvatarchem Amur should really be enjoyed as late as possible if people are hooked as it's made to be the endgame. With Kola just before. I genuinely think we should get another brutal map before the Year 4 Pass is over.
@@ATribeCalledCars I agree. I just liked the Amur difficulty at early game. Having to unlock the zikz to be able to feel relatively comfortable, was an awesome challenge. I do know that this kind of difficulty is not meant for early game though..
At the same time, Now that we have many strong trucks we do need some short of new challenge or the game just becomes a walk in the park.. There need to be some parts on each map that are genuinely require skill to be driven. The game just doesn't have any of this anymore..
On a different note U own the Kenworth 990. Could U check out if U have on the Mod- Diff for trucks with no Diff or Awd if Connectable- if this would give it Awd? I'll have some Biscuits while I wait. Thanks Rebel ByChoice from Delphia,SC

Sometimes life stuff has to come first, I'd always love to be the first for this kind of thing but I also sometimes prefer to put in the time before I judge and that's not always conducive to being speedy.

Was really excited for the new quarries but after carting 8 slabs of slate im so done. XD still i found that yeeting cargo into the silver quarry works like a charm

Some fresh thinking is needed.
Definitely not my favorite. The devs need to come up with ideas on how to not make traversing the map repetitive. The contracts needs to be more rewarding in terms of completion. I did like the completing a contact/task would open up a new job. And roads/bridges/block roadways needs to be added to the jobs to do list.
Agreed. There's actually been some regression in terms of contact animations and impact, which is a bit of a shame. Maybe the animated dude is a sign of stuff to come but as potentially the last year pass I'm not so sure lol.

Worst season ever. Endless boring grind. Gave up after about 5 tasks and a few contracts and went back to Rehmo's brilliant mod maps. I pre-purchased year 4 but at this rate I will not be buying Year 5 (assuming there is one) until I see Sabre pulling their proverbial fingers out and giving us decent maps with cleverly thought out challenges, not the lazy grind given to us in Almaty. I still *love* SR after 3+ years playing but I'm now grateful I have other games like ETS2, Assetto Corsa and No Man's Sky to fall back on.
