Clever intro. Love the Marvel style. Well done. I'm a Gaia Premium member too, so I'm always looking for new ideas to get the most out if it. I have a Samsung Galaxy tablet that's sole purpose is the Gaia GPS to keep space on the memory card for maps and smooth functionality. One of my favorite waypoints to make are remote places that you can pick up a bar or 2 and sneak in a phone call where there's not supposed to be service. I use the Canada Topo, Backroads Mapbook for access, and Satellite for exploring rivers for kayaking. One thing I wish we had access to was the date the imagery was taken so it could help us determine water levels in rivers. Also would love it if rivers were labelled by classification for rafting/kayaking
Thanks for the review, I use GAIA too I have an older 10" Samsung tablet I use for my navigation that mounts on my over head rack. What I like about GAIA is I can plot trips on my computer then flawlessly use my tablet or phone to navigate. I like the detail provided at a glance on the larger tablet screen.
Agree! Gaia is awesome; I could do another review about all the stuff I forgot to mention lol
@@JustEmptyEveryPocket I just bought a 64 GB Micro SD card so I could have more offline maps. I also downloaded the Overland Bound map software but $78.00 US for membership? I don't think it is worth that. Have you looked at it?

It's way to US/Canada centric... and you need to pay to access open source layers.
I've been using GAIA on my iPad, and it's great. BUT just recently the menus (at the top of the screen) have disappeared, and I can't figure out how to get them back. Can you help me?
I just checked mine; the menus are the same as they've always been? I would reach out to their customer support.
