HOW-TO Plunge a Toilet - Korky Beehive MAX Toilet Plunger

- I was NOT paid to use the Korky Beehive MAX Toilet Plunger. Instead, I had to pay to buy one and paid with 2.5 hours of my labor. It was 7:45PM at night, a kid clogged the ONLY toilet in the house with a SUPER-POOP, and this plunger was the best one that I could find at my local store. Maybe there were two hard poops wedged side-by-side and some fiber could have probably gone a long way... Even with this plunger (definitely better than the old one), it didn't cum like a two-pump-chump, and still took an additional 30 minutes to finish. Does anyone even read this crap? If you watched this entire video and read this paragraph, I hope you had a good laugh. Go find something better to watch though. I also have videos on cars, diving, archery and gophers.
This is informative AND hilarious. I just bought one of these plungers today, since I suck at plunging. We'll see how it goes. I'm glad you put the amount of time it took to dislodge the clog; I always assumed everyone else was going in there, plunging for like 45 seconds, and walking out of the bathroom victorious.
I'm glad that you enjoyed it. Misery loves company. The new plunger works a ton better than the old ones.
@@agraygoat It actually worked for me, which was shocking.
@@thefabulist6162 - I was pretty surprised that it worked for me as well as mine was REALLY stuck. Take it easy, and I'm glad it all worked its way out of the system.
Had a recent clog. Tried my original conventional plungers, chemicals, I bought one if these beehive plungers by faith over a more expensive option and it worked after about two attempts. You have to give it full extension and full power force. I has little to no splash back and it’s probably due to its design
Nice. In recent years I ended up needing to replace that toilet and got one that can flush 7 pool balls at once. Haven't clogged it since.
After watching this video i did some research and found there are toilets that are designed to not clog (pressure assist, better designed trapway, larger trapway hole).
My household could definitely use one of those...
Awesome video. I ordered one after watching this video and sure enough, the time has come to test it out. To war!
How did the battle fare?
I watched the company video and you're supposed to put it in sideways first, let the plunger fill with water, THEN plunge. That apparently is necessary.
Yep. Usually after the first plunge it'll fill up with water anyway.
@@agraygoat This person is correct. The instructions or watch a plumber video they know how to use this thing unless you want to spent another 2 hours trying.
Most people don’t even know how to use a regular plunger.
With this one you need water to fill it up because it uses water pressure to push the clog. Those partial clogs don’t have enough water and that’s how you spend 2 hours pumping.
I was thinking same thing! It even has the Instructions on the label tag.
@@agraygoatWater?? Hate to break it to you, but my toilet is not filled with WATER.😉
I just watched your video. So glad I Watched the video that's on tag from Korky. Yes I watched your video. I had a good laugh. 😂
This was helpful as I have been working for hours on this sucker and nothing - went and bought this and have the initial clog past but still slow. I blame the kids!' I could never be a plumber
Kids are always to blame. To date this is still the best plunger that I have used. I'm not kidding when I say that a few neighbors have borrowed it and cleared their clogs in the middle of the night with it. It's not a cup of sugar that neighbors would typically ask to borrow, but sharing is caring, I guess?
I just bought one and it works wonderful. best I ever did.
BEFORE PLUNGING HE NEEDS TO PUT THE PLUNGER ON AN ANGLE TO GET SOME WATER.
That first plunger is for sinks, FYI.
We used it for years and it was terrible. I think it was from the 80s and that's what we all used then.
I just want to say that I have been struggling with a low flow toilet and had two plungers in the house, one was so hard it wouldn't function, the other just wouldn't seal and the flange kept going up inside making it look like the plunger you were using at the beginning, which is for sinks or showers (no flange). It is very frustrating to not be able to plunge and walk away. I have a beehive arriving today from Target, but had to auger to get the clog cleared. If any of you have a clog where the water is not going down at all, just buy the auger. It is a pain but cheaper than a plumber and you will have to clean poop out of the coiled wire end, but it will work if the clog is within reach and you follow the directions. I did not want to call a plumber and spend hundreds of dollars. I did not. WHEW!
Having the right tool (plunger or auger) for the job is definitely worth it. Some augers are more aggressive than others and can damage some drain pipes (ones that are old/damaged or rusting). I'm glad you got yours sorted.
That’s a lotta crap when you have to do all that crap!
Just brought this plunger from home depot on 7/22/20 I will say I had a similar problem on 7/21/20 and this plunger is the king 👑 of plungers and just like agraygoat said a good plunger goes a long way
Why lie
@@cicidoll3822 not a lie. I tried everything did a curbside order. Picked up. Got home and Less than 5 minutes my toilet was unclogged
The best way to plunge is to pulse the plunger half way in in rapid succession. Kind of like a jackhammer.
Instructions clearly state to tilt the plunger and let it fill with water before you start plunging. That way you are hitting the turds with water and not air.
Agreed. Although, at 7:45PM at night and you've been dealing with this thing for a couple of hours already with no food in your stomach, you're no longer thinking straight. Filling it with water does help during the first push, but after the first few pumps water fills the cavity and you're off to battle.
Just got one from Lowe's, after messing around with the dumbass old style for 2 hours. Bout a toilet auger too, just in case, but the beehive cleared it on the first plunge!
Yeah, it's kind of amazing that something as simple as a toilet plunger can work or not work. This one definitely has been working for us for a while now.
I had kids flush toys down more often then not. I bet it was a toy and not a turd. Good video. PS kids will mess you up all the time. Been there done that.
Funny video says “how to use it” and 2 hours later because in my opinion you were not using it the way it was designed.
I am glad real plumbers put videos on here and show the correct way.
Still liked video you got a good sense of humor.
Haha, yeah. It was 2 hours from the initial clog (including having to go to the store to get the new plunger). Once I picked up the new plunger it made relatively short work of the clog. I am here to serve and entertain you.
It worked for me I would recommend it
I had a plastic fork stuck in my toilet and the cheap plunger I had didn't work. This bee hive seemed to have cleared it
That's funny and not. I was just talking with someone yesterday about this plunger and about how someone (you) had said that they cleared a plastic fork with it. I don't even want to know how you got one stuck in the toilet (kids?). I'm glad that it worked out for you though.
2:23 😂😂😂😂😂😂
The one I have won't seal I hate it
I'm about to buy one of the Korky beehive plungers at Home Depot. Right now I only have one of those cheap $3 plungers and while that one usually does the trick, for the past week I've been faced with a very slow draining toilet and nothing else seems to be helping.
I'm cheaper than anyone else... This plunger makes a huge difference in terms of ease-of-use. Do you live in an apartment or a house?
@@agraygoat
Apartment. I actually went to Home Depot today and bought the Korky Beehive with the base. $20 was a lot to spend but If it's a good plunger, It will come in handy. I used it a bit today but I'm still having a slower toilet drainage than usual. I also bought a package of Green Gobbler to try. Another $11 but they claim that it's guaranteed and they'll give you a refund if it doesn't work.
@@mr.d.572 - It could also be a clog in the main line. Are you on the bottom floor?
@@agraygoat
No, I'm on the 2nd floor.
Am hoping whatever it is might also resolve itself in time as whatever material is in there will start to disintegrate. I never throw anything non-biodegradable down there.
@@mr.d.572 Yeah, best of luck with that. I've seen a lot of the flushable wipes clog up the system.
Welp looks like plastic danonino yogurt bottle has ended its streak of victory thanks to my baby sis so it's pretty slow
They seriously need to make a flushing toy for kids to flush things down and retrieve them from another tank because the toilet thing happens way too often. Good luck.
@@agraygoat it would take time to make sure like shit and pis travels away while the stuck stuff whatever it is isn't that gross bc when you open it boy another mess
I’m embarrassed to be here
PURGE PLUNGER THEN RAM......NOT ABOUT THE BACKSTROKE
Literally me today ughhhhhhhhhh
Good luck!
@@agraygoat this plunger worked! thank god
@@suburbjorn That's awesome. Hopefully all future clogs get resolved quickly going forward.
My toilet doesn’t look so pretty as yours!🤮
WHAT'S THE KORKY PLUNGER? 💩💩💩💩💩💩💩
