Proper enjoyed both parts of this trip. A great route, agreed one of the nicest areas of the national park and one of my favourite areas. A real sense of what these trips are like in reality and the emotions experienced at the different stages, i can relate very well to your observations 😂
Another brilliant adventure, that cold dip looked great , how clear was that pool , do you ever get to see the northern lights when your up in the mountains ?
I love the clear pools, there's a fair few dotted around the Lake District. I saw the northern lights while I was staying in a house in Cumbria last year but I'm still yet to see them while on a mountain.
What a great way to pass the dreary days of winter. Mad respect to you for having the balls to jump in that cold water in the middle of day one of your trip.
Spent two years doing the wainwrites and finished on great gable last September and after all the miles I vowed I would not go up in the mountains again but after watching your video I'm up for it again
I'm glad it has inspired you to get back out there, sometimes the hardest thing is getting out of the door. Once you're there I'm sure you won't regret it. ATB
Glad you enjoyed them and not 100% sure yet. It's likely to be Yorkshire Dales or Lake District. Let me know if there's anywhere specific you want to see.
Great pair of walk videos! I’ve got the Phoxx1 v2 but I’ve seen a video from Paul Messner where he carries some extra lengths of guy rope on mini carabiners which he added to the Phoxx along the sides to improve wind stability. Need to get some sorted myself but look like they would have been useful here 😊
@uptosummit_ I went out for a midnight waz up at Warnscale bothy the other month and my headtorch caught two beady eyes staring at me from up the mountain side. Bliddy sheep, I nearly died!!. 🤣🤣
Do you know what your actual backpack weight is? (Asking for a friend....) Thanks for the video! Keep doing what you do, in 2025 PS. Now that you've done wild camping with all this effort, and with the risk of cold and wind, why would you worry about woodland camping?
I haven't weighed my backpack in a while, I'll try remember to do it next time. Around a year ago it was at 15kg including food and water. As for the woods, I just don't like the idea of my view being obstructed by trees - someone could sneak up on me. But I know that's irrational and is so unlikely.
Simples, well done you.
Thanks mate!

Glad you enjoyed it and yeah definitely a journey of ups and downs but that's what makes it fun.
@uptosummit_ ups and downs in more than one sense 😄

Absolutely loved both videos!!!! Where are you thinking of camping next? Especially if thinking of the woods???

Glad you liked the video and it's hard to stay away from the edges when the views are so good haha
Pee bottles for the win when winter camping. Great channel mate, liked and subbed.
Thanks mate and I know I should probably just use a pee bottle but it's always a good adventure to have to go out in the middle of the night haha
