You're in fashion, wait a minute and you'll be in fashion again. Honestly, a good set of basics with a few 'trendy' accessories or pieces is all your really need.
Correct. It's horrible to find pattern after pattern repeat. The longer you stay the more of it you see. Immortals surely would quest for that fleeting moment when something unique happens.
I wore most of those items in the late 2000's/early 2010's too! The faux floral/rose clips were everywhere with the feather extensions when I graduated hs in 2011. The ruffled tops, flats, laced boots, dusters... the only thing missing is the skinny jeans! 😂
Oh, yes, that would be fun and, oh, so romantic! Wouldn't it be delicious to dress up for a posh night out where the men are as at home in tuxedos as they are in well worn jeans and the women are exquisitely, yet somewhat ostentatiously, arrayed in their jewels and the avantgarde of haute couture. You could be going anywhere, the theater, opera, a ball, the point is to entice and captivate the attention in the room by your alluring and ethereal beauty. You appear suddenly, without fanfare, almost as if by magic, draped in a luxuriously rich and intricately detailed, floor length velvet cape, lined in silk with a faux fur trimmed hood to protect your face and hair from the wintery elements. It rustles gently as you glide into the room and lower the hood. All eyes, men's and women's alike, are drawn to you as you are helped to remove it, revealing your exquisite, black strapless gown underneath, adorned only with a single strand of pearls bisected by a diamond pendant and understated diamond studs at your ears. You are all the more bewitching for the studied simplicity of your style and stand as though a single, beautiful rose among a garden of over dressed and over adorned star gazer lilies. Women wish they could hate you, but find themselves irresistibly drawn to you as you are genuinely warm and the men flock to you like moths to a flame. You gracefully circulate through the room, greeting and charming all; collecting hearts as easily as furniture would collect dust. You are plied with glass upon glass of champagne and offered one delicacy after another throughout the evening as would-be suitors vie for your attention and curry your favor. As the evening draws to a close, the potential suitors rival each other for the possibility that one of them might have the chance for a private goodbye with you, perhaps exchange phone numbers and arrange a date or, could they dare hope, to accompany you home tonight? There is always a price to pay for beauty and charm such as you possess, isn't there, and sooner or later, it does come due. Seeing the avalanche of men descending upon you, all wishing for a private goodbye, you settled into the sumptuous embrace of your cape, kissed your fingertips in a graceful, yet general farewell wave and sweeping their hearts up in the rustling folds of your cape, made your way from the room as suddenly and silently as you had appeared hours earlier. This is just a fantasy off the top of my head, you understand, I've never given it any thought before now! ☺️
@@terrig7006 Wow...I- thi- just.. spectacular, that is all my brain can fathom after reading this. And just at the top of your head, I couldn't wright a better story in 6 months.
I love dusters! I bought a jean duster from Rome when I was 23yo. I was absolutely in love with it. I also bought some gorgeous lace up brown leather boots. They were in my luggage in my friends trunk when his car was repoed!! I never got them back. That was 21 years ago and I'm still angry and sad about it.
@@Elhastezy888 lol! Yes it does. Sometimes I'll have an outfit together in my head and I'll think "damn those shoes or that jacket would be perfect with this!" I hadn't even worn the boots either. Grrrrr! 🤬
Love it! While I'll skip on shorts (it's too cold where I am), I have classic Mary Janes and lace up knee boots already in my closet and plenty of ruffled tops. Love when I already have some of the components for runway looks (and thank you for recommending skin toned flats ages ago. They go with everything!!!)l
You literally combined things that I thought would be atrocious into something very cute and chic ❤️ Like my mind was worried fashion was going back to 2010s 😭
Wow. I have absolutely nothing in my closet like those items, and cannot imagine wanting to wear any of them (with the possible exception of the duster) when the trends are over. Guess I'll sit this year out! Of course the stuff looks great on Andrea, as always.
I came here to say the exact same thing. I hate all of it (for myself) except the duster. Well, I should save a lot of money by not shopping this season! Agree with your conclusion as well. Andrea makes everything look good!
I’m not a fashionista, not even terribly interested in fashion, but I like seeing dusters make a comeback. Here’s hoping to see some in the thrift store in coming years. My old cardigan duster is getting kinda threadbare.
This combo of trends was practically made for me. I had such a large collection of fun stockings and tights and such…. But now I am back home in the Caribbean and some of these trends will make me melt in this heat.
The outfit you're wearing in the beginning is giving sparkly Morticia Adams in the best way possible!
Addams.
Totally, I wish she'd describe that outfit, really liked that jacket especially
The whole look is so sophisticated and classy.@@gryffon5213
Morticia hits up the Golden globes haha
Me too! I came here to comment on it.@@gryffon5213
Oh my wardrobe is SO back. Couldnt afford the trends of the last few years, but NOW WHO'S THE FASHION ICON?
Yay! In love that so many of my wardrobe are in style again lol
You're in fashion, wait a minute and you'll be in fashion again. Honestly, a good set of basics with a few 'trendy' accessories or pieces is all your really need.
Same xD
I love flared/bellbottom pants so much. Sometimes I am on trend and sometimes I'm not.
Aw hell yeah, our "outdated" wardrobes will not just slay, but also conquer
So the trends from 20 years ago are in again. I’m here for it.
That's how trends work. They recycle constantly.
We were not wearing this in 2004 lol were you even there? The only thing even close are flats.
@gritmakaveli maybe no you 😅 I have a black velvet lace up jacket. I saved it and I regret nothing!!
@@gritmakavelii definitely remember those ruffles top, but i didn't remember the exact year.

It's giving high-fashion Phantom of the Opera and I am here for it
Absolutely yess

Lulu is, indeed, a precious diamond with bonus hops. 💖

We love lulu!
Pretty sure we're just our pet's accessories. :)
Your first outfit though omg. Stunning
It's straight out of the late 90's! I wore all of that in high school and college. The only thing missing is the duster having big bell sleeves. 😁
Love a bell sleeve.😊❤

I personally think that we should bring cloaks back in style.
Yes! I love it!
Oh yes, cloaks must come back and stay!
I'm doing my part with my 2. I get weird looks at the gas station but have no regrets.

I had the same thought haha
Likewise!
It also feels like the mid 90s!
Lovely. But I think I would prefer a smaller rose around the neck. 🌹
I use to have a pair of flat mary janes. They were my favorite shoes. I wore them sooo much. I would love to find a similar pair
