Our ticket finally came up for a 3 day American Patriot long range trip to Pully Ridge. We had a special guest with us (Noah) from Daiwa. Slow pitch jigging was on fire. We stayed pinned to the rail a majority of the time. You have to love it when the fishing is hot. Johnny digs into jigging on a anchor and the fellas crush some Queen Snapper, snowy grouper, scamp grouper, American red snapper, and muttons. You guys make it look so easy. lol But that really looks like it was a fabulous trip. Thank you for sharing it with your followers. What model Daiwa electric reel was you using. And was you using the jigging mod (if it has one) or manual jigging
Thanks Kevin!! That is a Daiwa Seaborg 300. I haven't messed with the jigging mode much.
My son used some of your jigs the other night with great success. Thanks Johnny Jigs. Ps those hooks are so sharp and sneaky it's not even funny.

Wow, seems like a great trip! Getting ready for my first slow pitch trip out of Galveston this Sunday. I hope to maybe catch a spring trip with Y'all in the spring. Love the instruction keep the videos coming and keep your hands away from the hooks! Thanks guys? PS Where's Will?

What was that battery pack on a shoulder strap for the electric reel? That looks so much better than dragging around a 12 volt deep cycle.

28" per crank. Definitely will handle a big Golden Tilefish

We micro jig with spinning reels, but SPJ is much better with conventional.

Johnny tell me about the hooks you were using when you caught that snowy. They look longer than usual
Nothing new. I tied them myself on the way out. 5/0 jj hooks spliced with hollow core line.
