Chad, thanks for the tip on bumping up to next power level on rod instead of just matching to the jig, I had not heard this before. On a FB group thread I was looking at Spathe Deep P1 for fishing 600-900'+ with jigs hopefully only up to 600g and everyone said that rod was fine for 600g or more, or the Oceans Legacy Elementus P5 which is rated up to 600g. I ended up getting the Elementus P5 because the Deep 1 or 2 are out of stock, but now I am thinking I may need the next higher rated rod. Just recently saw the JygPro PowerPlusMax.

There are a bunch of options, in this video Chad was using JBraid 4 strands 20 lbs, and 50lbs fluorocarbon leather

The power max is a true SPJ rod rated for up to 700G
