Love this show. For me the most important point is to see courageous women trusting their soul and following their instinct. It's so good to be reminded that it works and that we can aloud ourselves in this direction and to acknowledge those fears that may hold us back if we don't face them
Thank you Marie and your team for having her and presenting to us yet another show filled with wisdom. I would love to hear Sarah Jones in her women empowerment touch on veiled women - hijab and niqab. I am a 'niqabi' by choice and I am at total peace with wearing it despite the many critiques I use to recieve even from my family. It was inside of me and I went ahead wearing it to this day. It was one of the most empowering decision I made for myself at age 18. The most incredible thing that I can relate to in this show was about following your intuition or your Greater Positioning System and how life will just open doors for you even when everyone thinks you're crazy. They told me by putting it on my life will be restricted and everything will be difficult. But more than ever before, my life has been an adventure. I've been a kickboxing trainer for 6 years, I've freedived some of the most beautiful waters and dive comfortably at -25m and soon I will be freediving instructor. I've had so many adventures outdoors in my abaya, hijab and niqab... My next is a bike ride in ladakh and kilimanjaro 😁 I would really love for independent thinkers to explore the muslim woman more as we're constantly in the news portrayed in the most untruthful and pathetic ways. - There were many take-aways from this show but I must say the one concept that struck me the most is the one of trusting your Self more than trusting Others. If your inside tells you do T go ahead and walk in that direction however slow you are, just keep going towards it even when others are telling you No, you should be doing A or B. Just trust your Self and keep going! (:
hi marie thanks for introducing Sarah to us! although my background is different from Sarah I can totally relate to her ability to connect to different cultures. i'm capeverdean and we are a mixed race and therefore my culture is a mix of so many influences. everywhere i go i find bits and pieces of my culture and thanks to it I instantly connect with people from all over the world 🌏🌍
Absolutely phenomenal! I appreciate your honesty, humanitarian spirit, and bring awareness of social and political issues in America. I'm proudly Canadian, but feel so sorry for what is going on in your country which impact the whole world. Love your show and all the people who you bring to the show. For me the most important point is to see courageous women trusting their soul and following their instinct you guys are such an inspiration. God bless you.
Probably the best, most helpful interview ever (and I’ve been following for a long long time) What I’m taking out of this: “Being depressed does not help the movement”. Connectivity does. A HUGE THANK YOU FOR THIS REMINDER.
How did I not know about the "Ah-Mazing" talent and beautifully creative spirit that is Sarah Jones?! Thank you so much for introducing her Marie! I love that she embraces her diverse cultural background and wants others to identify with themselves and others because we are all human. Comedy truly does connect people and reveals many truths for taboo subjects. This was honestly one of the most magical, inspiring interviews to feed my creative soul. Thanks ladies!
We absolutely adore her too! And we're so glad this interview brought some magic and inspiration to you today; it's definitely worth watching over again. - Team Forleo
Hi Marie! Thank you so much for the interview with Sarah Jones. The both of you are two women that I admire so much. I read your book last year and saw my life in yours. I wrote and self-published my first book (December 31, 2020), Daughter of the Other Woman, and in two short weeks, I will be performing my first one-woman show based on my book. I learned of Sarah Jones a couple of months ago and started saturating myself with her work. She is amazing!!! The way she morphs into her characters is indescribable. I am so inspired and excited for life partly due to you two wonderful women. And just an added note, when I had my first speaking engagement, only 2 people showed up. I read your book and was further encouraged to keep moving forward. Now, I am honored to be acting (I have not acted in a theater since high school and I turned 50-yrs-old this year) in my first production in a 150-seat theater. I can only go up from here because Everything is Figureoutable.
Yes! This was honestly wonderful and inspiring. I learned no matter the status, paycheck or perks, if I'm not doing what I love and bettering my creative craft, I feel totally unfulfilled. The real guidance comes from our hearts, not our minds.
Very impressive! I'd like to ask you to consider that referencing democrats and republicans still keeps us divided. It seems very important to you to identify as democrat but I would love to see you embrace us all as you seem to do with all other areas. Just an idea.
What an inspiring interview, Marie, Sarah, and eeeeeeeeveryone else who shared the couch. ;D Thanks for taking the time to create and share this with us. It's always a pleasure to get to hear the story of another creative soul. Let's keep creating! ♥
I am just going to repeat what everyone else has said "WOW, she is incredible. I heard about her but seeing her now I will surely look for her work and check into her Podcast. Thank you Marie and Sarah.
LOVED IT!! Sarah Jones, you are an inspiration ! Your compassion, understanding and foresight. YOU are the epitome of the "NOW" woman. Someone who is as groundbreaking as the first iPhone. We are ready for your technology ! Currently upgrading and throwing away the old software !
Her TED Talks views/comments are mostly from years ago, so I feared she was not doing anything today. Glad to know how wrong I was. This woman is amazing! In a league by herself.
My take-away from this is that Marie and Sarah are exemplifying what we all should remember. June Jordan's words "We are the ones we've been waiting for". We need to be the change we want to see. This is a pivotal time and you/we are all needed. Thank you for this awesome interview reinforcing this idea. I just got back from the Allied Media Conference in Detroit. Amazing organizations, people, amazing place and story. I am more energized and the possibilities are endless. I love this saying (thank you for sharing, and I wish you told us who said it so I can give credit where credit is due) "Free people, free people." Anything is possible. Let's do the work we are meant to do and create love in this world.
OMG!!! So inspiring!! I admit I wasn't familiar with her before this interview, but I'm now a huge fan. I love her story and her work. Thank you so much Marie and Sarah for such an AWE inspiring interview!!
Love, love, love this. Had to share with my friends and family! I am a jewelry and shoe designer and this video let me know that this indeed is the right path. I recently left my job because it was attacking my spirit and my intuition told me I was going to be alright. this video affirmed that!!
Hello Marie and Sarah, I just want to say Thank-you sooo much Lovely Ladies!! - Interestingly the 2 minute snippet of this interview recently came up in my Inbox in timing that can only be described as Divine lead. I went straight to the full interview and Have Loved hearing two incredibly inspirational women genuinely admire each other and make us laugh and put forward such thought-provoking ideas 💡 all at the same time. Thank-you sooo much. What is Incredible is I coming through a a period where I’m at the point of completely shedding the lack of self-worthiness that has held me back from reaching my full potential. - I’m so pleased I was able to identify it at Christmas. I have found that “surrendering” the “how” will I achieve this and going more and more with the flow and listening to the voice of intuition - no matter what it says - have enabled me to let go of all self-doubt and lack of worthiness. Then this video appears!!!! 👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽🌟 - I Definitely Agree that Humour opens the door of receptivity. - My sense of humour was my salvation when I was a “rather awkward and shy child”. I also agree that having humour with ourselves and standing together in Unity is the way forward. Humour I feel is the main “human tool” for dealing with difficult/ unusually situations. When you hear good comedians they are never laughing about a sunny ☀️ day where everything went right!! 😆😃 - I am almost completely English Sarah, yet inside I feel as mixed raced and multi-cultural as you describe your family. I have always been drawn to people/ places/ things from other cultures so I believe Unity is part of my Mission through families and children. Ladies, thank-you sooo much. X💫😃🌟🌈💖💗💝X
Thank you Marie, Sarah is amazing and really put into perspective our combined experience. The 'One Thing' I take away is our hopeful collective ability to see one another's views and a call to action. As much as I don't agree with what is currently happening in our country this helps me remember that throwing blame does no good and instead we need an open dialog. Love what you do-Graham
I found this so inspiring because I absolutely LOVE doing voices and characters. PLUS I was raised in a multicultural household. I found Sarah Jones experience so similar to mine.
Imperfection is the beauty in all of us if we can only see this we will all be laughing so much more.....love your topics and I see you so successful in your journey
I really like this specific point. In a way, we're all immigrants. I'm not from America, but whenever I see those videos from the U.S. of people telling each other to go back to their countries, it always makes me think: if you're not Native American, why are you saying that? Your ancestors weren't from there, so what makes *you* "own" the land? For having been born there? But there are countless Chinese, African-Americans, Koreans, Japanese, Hispanics, etc. who were born there as well. If you have the right to say that, why can't they? Even so, they're doing something they wouldn't like to be done to them if they ever traveled to live in another country. I don't understand the way these people think.
Eika Pumpkin, Native Americans inhabited the land, the continent, but Europeans established the country, the political entity called the United States. It is therefore their country, however egregiously obtained. This is is nothing new. Conquest has always happened on the planet (and I think it's horrible). To the victor belongs the spoils.
@@TheWriterWalker It's a late reply, but that really doesn't make much sense. Just because a system is implemented somewhere, that doesn't mean whoever implemented it, especially by force and/or trickery, magically owns the place. The land wasn't empty and up for first come first serve. Otherwise the meaning of the word "stolen" wouldn't exist. People would just take, take, take and use that same argument that they re-purposed the stolen goods therefore it's theirs now. If you lived in a house and someone walked in unannounced and made you follow their own rules, that doesn't mean the house is theirs all of a sudden. It was taken from you, because you were already living there. The argument is illogical. That's just a term created to excuse what happened so people just go "Oh well" and accept it with a sad face. One thing would be to start living together in harmony, another is to steal and even kill. And we all know which one happened. This wasn't just a lost bet both sides willingly took part in.
This was the best interview I’ve ever seen I love how Sarah integrates her characters into the interview. And how her characters connect with ppl is so astounding! Also yes Marie for pres or Sarah! 👏🏼👏🏼
This has been a most wonderful broadcast Sarah and Marie! I listened to it from the day you released it over until today. I usually skip commenting, but had to today! Both of you were awesome! Sarah Jones, you are amazing!
Sooooo goes into what I've been preaching about following your joy ... it took me so long but it turns out to be right on time ... XO love you Sarah Jones .... Kelly @ BLR (Oh and of course you & yours Marie)
Beyond the incredible characters and wisdom, I loved hearing about the foundation support. I have an online and tv program in Mississippi featuring cool people who defy the state stereotypes. Excellent, ladies (except that I don't trust Hilary, but other than that), a fantastic, heart-centered discussion. Would love to see you do it again at some point.
Hi Marie! Excellent interview, for much!! Totally enjoyable and great guest, she’s amazing! I take away lots of good things this time, but specially what shocked me was the importance of art in society! As an artist, sometimes I’ve doubted about my craft such as myself, wether I’d be taking the right path or not. Sarah had already given that response for sure! So I’ll be keeping up! :) Thanks so much for sharing again another great material! Blessings!!
