"you watch these sitcoms where literally in the first season their just doing the same joke just different wording but the same joke over and over and over again" Describes Big Bang Theory perfectly.
Such a sharp cast. They’re all really brilliant, in their understanding and interpretation and delivery of the material and characters. I love sunny. I want it to go on and on at their expense lol like a true sunny fan.
I am obliged to say that all of the producers of the show have a really original view on humor and society. And all of them are of above average intelligence, which is quite rare in the show business.
His breakdown of their style of comedy is what I think people who don't like this kind of humour understand, they don't grasp the idea of humour coming from laughing at awful people, but rather think that if a show has something in it, it automatically must support it.
I really think the strength of the characters lies in the fact that they're similar to the real people. Rob is a serious guy, but he also obviously has an unserious side. But I think that's why he's Mac, not like Charlie. Each of them makes fun of themselves, y'know? Mac's character is based in the fact that he takes himself WAY too seriously.
1:10 you definitely have my respect now Rob McElhenney! I use to be fat, and people were really mean to me growing up. People have got to stop being so damn shallow!
Each episode moves the entire story further on, as opposed to 2½men and BBT, but yes, I agree; you do hear some of the jokes over and over. Though, it's not all about 'jokes' per se in HIMYM, they change environment more often and end up in various funny situations.
I don't really hate all the characters. i really feel for Charlie because I feel like he's innocent based on his child like behavior....that's the mood i get.
That first episode from Season 7 (Frank’s Pretty Woman) is my personal favorite. Extremely funny all the way through. You gotta love a show that features chimichangas, crack and projectile vomiting.
i love how some people will see episodes and think they;re just really ignorant people making fun of everything, and yet they're amazingly informed, highly moral and aware of everything, goddamn i wish i was in their gang
@TheKjones25 Not only is he the creator of the show, but he's a producer and writer... he's bound to give a shit about what he's talking about if he's talking about his show.
@FxOxAxDx never said he didnt have to take it seriously but he could take it down a little bit on the big words as much as i understand a intelligent response to such a great show i would love to see him just let loose and say the stupid fucking shit that i love and am used to hearing and by the way i love the fact the hes gained a shit load of weight it just adds more humor to his art of acting.
"you watch these sitcoms where literally in the first season their just doing the same joke just different wording but the same joke over and over and over again" Describes Big Bang Theory perfectly.
The Big Bang Theory has a joke?
That describes letterkenny to a tee. All just same jokes over and over
almost every sitcom will repeat most of the jokes or at the least recycle them because writing something original is difficult not to mention risky
He is an eloquent speaker. He's genius.
Jake Johnson It's amazing how dumb his character is, but he's so smart in real life.
Ultimately....
I love how thoughtful and well Spoken Rob is compared to Mac haha. This is really fun to see and shows how good an actor he is!
Such a sharp cast. They’re all really brilliant, in their understanding and interpretation and delivery of the material and characters. I love sunny. I want it to go on and on at their expense lol like a true sunny fan.
amen😄😂
Now the marble has been chiseled and the masterwork is complete.
was looking for this comment 😂
One of a kind mind and determination this dude has. His Art has blown my mind with explosions of emotions.
god I love how you can hear Danny DeVito hollering in the background. xD
Ultimately, I don't think there are enough people commenting about how ultimately Rob McElhenney loves the word ultimately.
I am obliged to say that all of the producers of the show have a really original view on humor and society. And all of them are of above average intelligence, which is quite rare in the show business.
I wanna see them do an episode where they all do mushrooms.
DMT with spirit elves.
His mass just make me want to hug him. :)
Ultimately
This man is in full control of the situation.
Awesome, love the show. Thanks Rob, for all your great work.
Certainly this show is ultimately the best show.
wow. rob himself is really likeable too :) that makes me happy
Awesome, the way he thinks is why this show is so great
God damn he's articulate. I was not expecting that.
I couldn't imagine living a life where it was actually necessary to tell people to "please don't call my son dumpster baby".
He's so damn smart.
smart guy. I really like that show, and listening to him speak you realize why.
he's my hero.
Ultimately, this is a fucking great show
You have to thing about how intelligent most good actors are. Especially comedians. Everyone on that show is fucking brilliant.
seven ultimately's
he's amazing i love him so much
I love rob's attitude!
His breakdown of their style of comedy is what I think people who don't like this kind of humour understand, they don't grasp the idea of humour coming from laughing at awful people, but rather think that if a show has something in it, it automatically must support it.
drink a shot every time he says ultimately!
Ultimately he's a fucking genious.
"a big slab of marble and then whittled it down" genius!
"please don't call my son dumpster baby"
hahaha i fuckin love this guy. Love that he stands up for all of Sunny's controversial issues
At any size I still like him and think he's hot.
Dude has come a long way. Best show
I love how his wife had a baby, but he's the one who gained the weight!
I think it would be awesome if Rob and the other guys made an It's Always Sunny movie as sort of a finale for the show.
+krischin Don't say words like "finale"
hes a good actor
I'm pretty sure the sitcom he mentions is Friends. By season 6 they all looked very different then season 1.
+Ben Pin big bang theory
+ShadFitness Pretty sure he doesn't watch that trash
+MaxBrilhart he said it was Big Bang theory in another interview...
ShadFitness got the link?
okay.
I love how that chick in the backround looks at Rob when he says abortion at 4:51 haha.
AWESOME! He is not a diabetic, he just does not like to dissolve sugar by himself.
4:50 this woman in the background is offended. 5:05 tries ratting Rob McElhenny out to guards.
I watch its always sunny reruns without sawing my legs off.
1:10 you definitely have my respect now Rob McElhenney! I use to be fat, and people were really mean to me growing up.
People have got to stop being so damn shallow!
2:00 Clearly a reference to FRIENDS.
Lmao I love that he's talking about repetitive sitcoms while Johnny Galecki is _right there_
Rob's a genius!
mac is so ultimate.
He is serious because he is a director and a producer. If he was giving the interview as an actor that would have been different.
gaining so much weight was pretty crazy, then he did a 180 again and got almost absurdly in shape and muscular. pretty remarkable
I LOVE YOU MAC
The next episode is going the called "The Gang Ultimately..."
Nic B.
Yeah he used that word a lot but what he ultimately had to say came through very well.
love these guys!! sunny phili rules! and btw rob- hot w this hair!!
season 7 was fantastic.
I like him that much more after watching this interview. Cool ideas and smart.
I LUV U ROB:)
Each episode moves the entire story further on, as opposed to 2½men and BBT, but yes, I agree; you do hear some of the jokes over and over.
Though, it's not all about 'jokes' per se in HIMYM, they change environment more often and end up in various funny situations.
Man I love him at Mac
Project Badass has gone to the extreme !!!!
It's weird when he sounds educated lol.
"Ultimately..."
I don't really hate all the characters. i really feel for Charlie because I feel like he's innocent based on his child like behavior....that's the mood i get.
The words of a Genuis my friends
HIMYM is one of the most well written comedies on television.
@bixboi Dammit. I did not hear a word of the interview because I just kept waiting for him to say ultimately. Good Job sir!
LOL. although I think that was just her AV guy, and she probably was suggesting that they tape the guy who keeps talking about abortion.
Ultimately..................
That first episode from Season 7 (Frank’s Pretty Woman) is my personal favorite. Extremely funny all the way through. You gotta love a show that features chimichangas, crack and projectile vomiting.
how can anyone say season 7 blows, the shadynasty episode made me nearly piss my pants i laughed so hard.
Sunny is the shit!
Thumbs up to the person who keeps count of the Times "Ultimately" is used and gives me the answer!!!!...You will be known as THE ULTIMATEly WARRIOR!
You know what thats actually a really really good idea
Ultimately, this was an ultimately awesome video...
please don't call my son dumpster baby
5:07 I wonder what the woman behind him is saying while pointing to him. She's seems upset
It's funny watching Mac be smart for a change :D
I like the whole cast of this show. Danny DeVito was apart of my childhood. Taxi, bitches!
i love how some people will see episodes and think they;re just really ignorant people making fun of everything, and yet they're amazingly informed, highly moral and aware of everything, goddamn i wish i was in their gang
Dumpster Baby!! LOL That's too funny
it's funny to watch him grow over the seasons, he went from a skinny white guy to Dom from gears 3
@TheKjones25 Not only is he the creator of the show, but he's a producer and writer... he's bound to give a shit about what he's talking about if he's talking about his show.
It's all in the system.
Move in After Completion
Its so strange to hear mac make sense
Danny Devito pops into the background like a ninja.....
they really should do a comic-con episode lol
Everyone calls his baby a dumpster baby. Yeah didn't see that one coming. Hahaha
yeah I've tacked on some mass
it's because he found "a black widow spider" in his room.
I don't think a youtube comment has ever made me laugh this hard.
I think he was talking about The Office, the look better than what they looked in th e original season.
Not to mention the Howerton went to fucking Juiliard
@TheIrredeemable you're right about that.
Ultimately.
"Ultimately..." :) But for real, I love this show!
keyword is Ultimately
5:12-5:42. Love what he says here.
2:00 the office
