Really enjoy the video. I subscribed for this kind of analysis that I really like in your Barrage videos. You are pretty much the only one in this niche. Hope to see more of Nucleum series because, as a Barrage & Brass gamer, this game is now my favorite game in 2023.
I'm glad to hear it. The game is quite deep, even though the rule set is more complicated than barrage's one, which makes it a bit less appealing to some players
Keep’em coming, Mario! Best channel on YT for heavy euros strategy! 😎 Looking forward to advanced analysis on Nucleum, and also the other two GWTs, as soon as you play them more (and of course as soon as you find the time…)
Really good explanation for the true beginner! Also, thank you for explaining in a way that doesn't require seeing what you're talking about. Helps when you can only listen to the video. 😁
@@UpUrPlay oh yes, I have seen that! My brain is a little fried at the moment on bot rules since I just learned the official one haha but I really should check that one out. Have you tried it?
@@deemich1815 nope, I'm not really a solo guy, especially if the bot is too convoluted. Maybe I'll try this new one in the future, but I'm not planning to right now
I think barrage is a superior game, design wise. But Nucleum has the length of the game that is determined by players, which is something I really love (think about gwt, Maracaibo...) so the feeling is different, and I'm loving it atm
MY experience of the last two games I played differs quite a bit. I had experiment A and tried to follow its plan. But I lost by a mile against a player with experiment D, who completely ignored his experiments objective... Also in my opinion income, especially whalers, is very important. You can't put down buildings without it, you can't buy tiles without it... I wish you would explain your opinions in the video a bit more... I m still struggling to get the game. I am so bad at it... I usually put down 4 or 5 stars, because without much income I am not able to make my turns very long...
@@SaschaKleiber I should post a new video. I changed quite a bit my view of the game with experience. As stated at the beginning of the video, this was more a first take at strategy than anything else. If you want to glimpse some of my updated opinions on Nucleum strategy, you might check out the videos I made about the single experiments :)
I only have 3 plays but in each one the start player won the game (me twice). Do you think start player has any advantage to it or is my experience just a statistical probability matter?
Nah I don't think so. Being able to choose the experiment first is also pretty strong. I'll probably discuss a bit about it in my next big nucleum strategy video though 😊

Words like yours are my main fuel, no need for coal or uranium
Luciani's fanboy here, grande Mario!!
I'd say at this point I'm in that club too :)
thank you! I have a hard time getting time to play games right now in life so just having some direction for a first play is incredibly helpful.
I'm glad to be helpful. Remember though that the exploring part can be a lot of fun too! Happy first play :)

I myself love to listen to UA-cam videos while driving, like podcasts. I'm glad it can work with my videos too!
Finally your Sound quality is top. Nucleum is easily top 3 of 2023. Are you often playing on tts?
I've played it quite a bit at the beginning. Now I very much prefer the actual board game. The game isn't easy to read, and TTS doesn't help
Nucleum is a marvel. I want to add to the chorus requesting another video!
Next one is going to be a Maracaibo video probably, but after that hopefully Nucleum is on the line :)
This is great! Nice job 👍 Just learning the game now and playing solo.
Thanks! If you're a solo player you might check the BGG page, there's a guy who posted a solo variant that's faster and more intuitive

Hey Mario! For me Nucelum is just a barrage with extra stuff. Nonetheless, it's a fun game :)

The subject I expected from you. I hope this is the start of a great series ! :D
Finger crossed! As of now it's a treat to play, I'm discovering something new each time it hits the table

I want, no, I demand more! :D
Ask and you shall receive. Demand and be stuck with nothing
