I like your peppermint oil instructions. Better then any other video. No one else cooked on the stove because that releases more of the mint. Thank you.
For all those asking, peppermint is a type of mint. There are many varieties of mint. Make sure when you make this recipe, use the peppermint as she instructs.
Great video! I just started propagating my mint plant and was talking to my wife about using the plant to make our own oils for insect repellent for the other plants we have
FYI you can preserve the shelf life by dissolving potassium sorbate in water and then adding 2 teaspoons to the oil, just make sure you emulsify and blend it with the oil before adding the peppermint! You can purchase potassium sorbate at most beer and wine breweries.
@@ramaat2731 absolutely ‼️ The formula is anhydrous.Fungus and bacteria which cannot be seen with the naked eye waiting to happen. As a formulator these things should already be known.
@@SimoneJoseph17 okay, it should be in an airtight container. You can add a preservative to it or simply heat the leaves and the oil using double boiling method so as to make the heated oil instead of the coldpress;
@@DeepaDeepa-pi5is You can use castor oil, it helps thickens hair, promote growth, and also helps with hair loss. Fenugreek oil is also another great oil for thickening of hair. See how to make fenugreek oil here👉👉ua-cam.com/video/eOZBtFS483g/v-deo.html
Which oil is best infused with it for Rats ,mice rodent? Getting rid off them, I know it doesn't kill them it just makes athem move from barn. but I don't know which oil to use with it! thank you.
If you are going to use it on your skin or hair, make use of oil with rich beneficial properties such as jojoba, coconut oil, grapeseed oil or olive oil. These oils are great on your skin and hair you can use vegetable oil if only you want to infuse it for cooking.
I guess my only question is, how come all of the homemade peppermint oil videos requires adding another oil that’s premade? Can’t we just make oil from the leaves themselves or some sort of infusion?

Thank you very much for sharing such a simple method.
Thanks a lot for sharing the info.. I'd like to know how one can increase the shelf life of the pepper mint oil.
You're welcome. You can use natural preservative such as tea tree oil or Lavender oil. You can simply store it in the fridge

Thank you for sharing. Did you heat the oil and peppermint for 14 or 40 minutes?
You are welcome, I heated it for 40 minutes
Cook for 10 mins or 15??
If the fresh mint is not available to you, one can also use Anveya peppermint essential oil .I used it , the results are very good.
The method is incorrect. You cannot incorporate water from wet leaves into oil. First you have to dry leaves in a dehydrator or oven.
I dry mine on towels and turn a fan on them. I just left mine drying overnight.
No its correct
@@gingerbread7113 it's incorrect. That oil with go rancid because it has water in it
The remaining water in the leaves evaporated during the heating process.

Can I mix it with my body cream
Yes it can be mixed
If I let the leaves sit in the oil for a day after heating is it wrong, please reply thanks
It can be contaminated with microorganism in the air and may reduce the shelf life. Strain and store immediately
