She was dating a singer that fronted a Skynyrd tribute band, he back her back into drugs which led her to rehab in Westlake, Ca. Apparently that guy got arrested for domestic abuse. She comes into my shop about once or twice a week, Lisa is an absolute doll and been sober since 2013.

As a young boy growing up watching this I loved when they blew up the train set. Of course I had to do the same. So as a 9 year old boy I got a hold of some M-82's (powerful firecrackers) and lit them as the train came close to the bridge. The explosion was very loud in the house and I couldn't sit down for the rest of the day. :)
In my teen years, I took a summer class in video production. Our final project was a news broadcast of a train wreck. Ellen Corby of the Waltons as Lurch's mother was funny, especially given the height differential between the two, with Lurch as master of the house and Gomez and Morticia as his servants, and end up getting fired! Classic comedy gold!
I don't remember that, when did that happen? I do remember that a special was done (a Hallow'een Special, of course), and Grandmama was trying to brew up a potion to allow her to fly, but kept failing; she was about to give up, and told the other Addams in the family cemetery next to the house; but later came back out, apologized to the departed, said she was an Addams!, and would keep trying! (Applause from the cemetery). I might be wrong, but I think Imogene Coca may have also been a guest.
@Andrea Wylie I remember an episode where she came for a visit and overheard a conversation that she though was about her being too old and tired to keep, so she was acting super energetic.

Fun Fact: Caroline Jones' Morticia walk was because they dressed her in an old-fashioned corset. Initially she was moving that way because the corset was uncomfortable, then she incorporated it into the character. Also, on the Mike Douglas Show she joked about not wearing underwear because the Addams Family set was so hot.
I made a mistake concerning Assignment Earth that I would like to correct; I gave the names of the two failed Roddenberry pilots made into made for TV movies as Cyborg, and Earth II. They were respectively: The Questor Tapes, with Robert Foxworth, and Mike Farrell; and Genesis II. These movies were shown a long time ago, and my memory failed me. Sorry.
Since they were all great, I will concentrate on my favorite special guest which would be Allyn Joslyn playing Sam Hilliard...the “Hiilliard Trilogy” make for some of the best viewing.
In 1965 I was 10 years old. I acted out Gomez, and before each show my five year old sister (as Morticia) would take my arm and I would escort her into the TV room to the couch, and then we'd watch the show together. Sometimes I would kiss up her arm. :-) I loved that show!
I was a kid when The Addams Family and The Munsters came on TV. The Munsters were always someone I wanted to visit and stay with awhile but the Addams Family I wanted to live with. Now, I do. 😉🙋♂️
Was I the only kid back in the day who thought The Addams were the family to be??? Parents weren't constantly fighting, the Dad never 'got his belt' & naughty behavior from the kids was tolerated (if not condoned!). If it wasn't for their weird diet, would have been ideal!
Yes, Spot was the Munsters Dragon who lived under the stairs...The Addams Family's dragon lived in their basement...I forget its' name, but it wasn't it their mansion's furnace and water heating system? It's been a few years! /;p
So true. It's saddening. Then again the Addams Family is a tribute to each of them to for live in our hearts for eternity. Peace Truth and Love to them all
Back in the 80s, The Addams Family reruns were all the rage. So much so, that my brother had the moniker of Lurch as a nickname in high school. At 6ft 8, everyone knew who he was. Personally, he hated it. But it seemed to fit him well. Especially how he presented himself. Mannerisms were spot on.

Ellen Corby of the Waltons as Lurch's mother was funny, especially given the height differential between the two, with Lurch as master of the house and Gomez and Morticia as his servants, and end up getting fired! Classic comedy gold!
Little Wednesday teaching Lurch to dance was hilarious.
Loved this show. I bought The Adams Family and The Munsters♥️♥️♥️
Lurch made the show. Of course, everyone contributed but Lurch was the icing on the cake.
My son’s bought me the Adams family for my birthday I was so touch that my son’s paid attention to what I love,I love the whole cast ❤️🌹💜👍🎈🎂
Such wonderful childhood memories. They were all soo good, I really can’t choose any of them. Very difficult.
I like the way Lurch would look away and groan while shaking his head in dismay.
I loved all of them, each one was special
Nice video!! Its amazing the lives of these actors after the show ends!!
Loved to watch this show in reruns when I got home from school in the 80's .
Morticia, a witch from a long line of witches, had Margaret Hamilton, the Wicked Witch of the West in The Wizard of Oz, as her mother in the TV show.
@@rodrudinger9902 -Grandmama, was played by Blossom Rock, her younger sister was Jenette McDonald a singer/actress who was in a bunch of musicals with Nelson Eddy,(my Mother loved them).
Was Margaret Hamilton Morticia's mother or was Grandmama?
This was great, and I do remember, thank you! I had a hard time finding a favorite as each one seemed to give it their all!
I was saddened to hear of Lisa Loring's passing Jan. 28, 2023...She was adorable! Condolences to her daughters!
"Morticia, The Sculptress" was the single best episode.
Ted Cassidy was my favorite actor! Who also appeared in Star Trek, Bonanza, & I Dream of Jeannie.
LURCH is iconic! Ted Cassidy has two have one of the greatest voices bestowed to humanity. Unbelievable.
Fantastic information and walk down memory lane. Many thanks from Australia 💕🙏💕
Ahh Tish!! You spoke french!!
Boobahlah!😉
Lurch and his dancing is my favorite
To this day I still bring the mail in with "wup-wup Mail's in" ...the younger ones dont get it....
Give away lurches harpsichord and built him a new one
I always loved when Lurch would play the harpsichord & Morticia & Gomez would dance! Morticia used to play the harp & sing like Yoko Ono!
My PCs have been doing that since about 1996!
"Thank you, Thing!"
That whoop-whoop-whoop sound was used in the 1950 movie " Destination Moon ".
I have all the shows on dvd and in October I watch them all month long. And sometimes when I’m feeling spooky lol. When I was a kid watching them I always wanted to be a part of their family.
Loved Carolyn Jones, her eyes were mesmerizing!
I loved them all.
My sister and fiancée are more Munsters fans, but I am the torch bearer for The Addams Family. I love that Pluto TV has a channel dedicated to the show
Cool! Good to know!
The fact that the show was in black and white made it creppier ❤️ Love it
Fun Fact: Caroline Jones' Morticia walk was because they dressed her in an old-fashioned corset. Initially she was moving that way because the corset was uncomfortable, then she incorporated it into the character. Also, on the Mike Douglas Show she joked about not wearing underwear because the Addams Family set was so hot.
Where can I watch the interview?
Factor in how tight that dress looked (especially considering the time period), and I could see her actually doing that.
Carolyn Jones was also in a movie with Elvis Presley!
That only made the set even hotter.
It would have been fun seeing The Addams Family and The Munsters together, scaring together, laughing together!
Sadly, with most of both casts gone, that can't happen.
I acted out Gomez, and before each show my five year old sister (as Morticia) would take my arm and I would escort her into the TV room
to the couch, and then we'd watch the show together. Sometimes I would kiss up her arm. :-) I loved that show!
So cute
Lurch was my favorite. Loved when Wednesday taught him to dance and when he became a pop star.
Wow! Thank you for sharing. So much trivia in this.
Lurch was my favourite!🙂
Mine too. I had then and still have today his personality.
Plus endless fun with Fester and the pet dragon 'Spot'.
@@carlsaganlives5112 Wasn't Spot the Munster's pet dragon who lived under the stairs?
Yes, Spot was the Munsters Dragon who lived under the stairs...The Addams Family's dragon lived in their basement...I forget its' name, but it wasn't it their mansion's furnace and water heating system? It's been a few years! /;p
@@johnnygnoneeded Thanks for the reply! Have a great day! :-)
I AGREE 100%
They were all great funny clean comedy well talked
It's a bit depressing to find that characters you saw on TV as a child, still see off and on died twenty or more years ago.
Shame that some of them died so young (Morticia, Pugsley & Lurch).
So true. It's saddening. Then again the Addams Family is a tribute to each of them to for live in our hearts for eternity. Peace Truth and Love to them all
@@dyanvandino5416 And the boy from the first Mary Poppins film.
@@dyanvandino5416 Yes,, you want the people who make your life pleasant to also have long, happy lives.
I sat next to Lisa in my Jr science class. I really had a thing for her but she didn't know I existed.
Thanks for this fun remembrance/introduction.
