When I first went to China in the early 80's, all the taxis were Citroen DS models. Sadly, the French let that opportunity slip away and within 5 years none were to be found- replaced by Nissan diesels.
I was not in China until a couple of years ago, but I noticed in Chinese movies from the early 90's a lot of Volkswagen taxis. France let countless billions of dollars of market share be lost in China and USA.

Poor Chapron should've hired a competent stylist for his cars. Beautifully constructed, they tend to look like a six-year-old designed them. Weird--but French!
I like the citroen a lot, but this model looks weird, with the rear wheels near the end of the chassis. I have the impression that the passengers in the back were cramped... but it's sui generis , beautiful color

Baletringue et cie, ce n'est pas une DS mais une ID: la DS avait un embrayage automatique donc pas de pédale de débrayage; de plus le levier de vitesse était dessus et non sur le coté.

les commentaires négatifs de certains sont déplorables ..ils ne se plongent pas dans l'époque ou les critères d' esthétismes étaient différents ...Chapron était un des plus grands disigner et carrossier avec l,'italien pininfarina et la DS Citroen était l'automobile la plus en avance de son époque que ce soit pour la coupe aérodynamique ,elle fut la première d'ailleurs que pour également sa technologie .. frein hydraulique etc etc ..il faur s'informer ou se cultiver ça évite de dire des conneries .
Citroën ist bekannt für eigenwilliges Design und das mag ich, aber was Chapron aus diesem DS21 geschaffen hat, ist außergewöhnlich hübsch-hässlich. Offiziell als viersitzigem Coupé deklariert, ist das Auto eher ein Tourenwagen für zwei, die gern etwas mehr Gepäck mitschleppen und dies auf die Rückbank legen.

il y a trop de chromes dans cette version à mo avis, mais c'est magnifique cependant , même la couleur.
