Hyunjin’s softer laid back rap is more seductive than the hard hitting delivery. His Muddy Water rap was done in similar vibe. I hope SKZ would keep hyunjin in this type of rapping to contrast Changbin, Han, and Felix more punchy delivery.

Hyunjin voice is PLAYFUL,, angelic, emotional, and seductive I love it, I really really love his different style.
My idea is that Venom is about the music industry. It's an incredibly toxic environment, but no matter what SKZ can't/won't leave because its the place they want to achieve in and even though there is a way out if they wanted, they won't go because they're addicted to their work and lifestyle, even if it may harm them.
Stray kids music genre is really out of kpop main stream they are so unique and different !

Based on lyrics, I interpreted this as 'craving for adrenaline rush' since they say 'I want it more, spreading poison, addicting potion, urgency, circulate faster' Maybe the 'spider' represents risky stuff, so when they encounter it, adrenaline starts spreading and they love it. They keep trying to get into such situations willingly for ex. Han is getting himself shot at, IN and Chan with the bow, Hyunjin and Lee Know boxing with spiked gloves, Changbin in the magician box I can't make theories of the MV though. The bow scene of IN and Chan is direct reference to "Rest Energy" by Marina Abramovic and Ulay.

this really does make sense. because especially with this album they tried a lot of different things with it. and like noeasy they tried new sounds. they are risking these sounds and structures. maybe?? lol anyways i like your look on it
One thing that I've kinda noticed after watching the mv so many times is that it almost seems like some of them have their own sort of "venom." Like, when they're all locked up, Changbin is the only one able to escape for some reason. Felix is the one controlling the giant spider that's chasing them all. Lee Know is standing over the rest who are unconscious after eating the food. Just something that stood out to me that I don't fully understand but find really interesting.
Yeaa this one’s kinda hard to figure out but the theories you guys have been giving us makes sense and is helping us haha. Love Stray Kids’ creativity! They be working our brains but we love it 😍
I also find the first section particularly interesting simply because it's Changbin who is able to get out when it looks like Chan was the one trying to pic the lock on his handcuffs.
Hyunjin's line "you got me like harley" - i think it also refers to Harley's emotion/feelings...she was like practically obsessed with Joker, she was so in love with him, she was wrapped around his finger, their relationship was like toxic/abusive/codependent...in the end leaves Joker. Hyunjin really delivered, they way he sang his line really lured you in 😍
I think hyunjin's harley lyric best explains the song, harley was a normal girl until she fell inlove with joker and joker turned her into harley quinn. Venom is the start of the oddinary album so i think this is how explains how they embraced their maniac side.

I think the video is about the members all being the “venom“. In the beginning Changbin says that he got himself locked up on purpose and that’s why he was the only one to get out and was messing with Felix and the members.
Felix controls the spider that is chasing the members.
Lee Know puts poison in the food and takes out all the members.
Chan puts Changbin in a box and does that magic trick where you put swords in but it misses the person in the box.
Lee Know and Hyunjin box with weapons while being trapped in the net.
I.N. was holding a arrow to Chan’s heart and played Felix like a pawn in chess. Seungmin threw a grenade at Han and Han batted it away like he got rid of the bullets.

I think it's more deeper than that, the spider represents anxiety and depression. They are trapped and can't get away from it. Now this is where it turns more toxic. Felix is controlling the spider, which means he has control of his feelings. I.n also said that "feeling threatened has disappeared now" being consumed by darkness and their negative thoughts, that somehow they're used to it. Han pointing the gun on his head, Chan letting I.n hold the arrow pointed right through his heart and Chan and changbin also doing the sword box illusion. They are numb, as if it's like "If I die, so what?" Basically: if they're trapped, oh well, what's the point of escaping when they purposely wanted to be trapped in the first place just like changbin said at the beginning.
Felix eats the spider and it goes to his heart. The "venom" (anxiety/depression) spreads which means NO ONE can help them but themselves. And at the end, they chose not helping themselves at all, getting stuck by their mind and having no thoughts of escaping. Which then felix closes the door.
You were talking about the chessboard and how it relates to the song. What i noticed is that after I.N makes his move and knocks out the Knight, he is basically in checkmate. Felix's King cannot move because it will be taken out either by the Bishop, the castle or the pawn. So essentially felix's King is 'trapped'. This also happens just as the lyrics go "trapped in your overpowering charisma, i am your prey". Theyre so fricking smart!!
The way I understand it, the song and MV talk about a toxic relationship or a toxic mindset. The mirror and red strings are callbacks to Red Lights because that song is about toxicity and obsession, too.
The members all try to kill each other perhaps to dramatize the danger of being in said relationship. Changbin escapes the bomb vault but doesn't help the others, Felix controls the spider that chases the others, Hyunjin tries to shoot Han, Seungmin tries to blow up Han, Lee Know poisons everyone at the dinner table, IN has an arrow against Chan's heart, Chan stabs Changbin through the box, Lee Know and Hyunjin are in a spiky boxing match.
It's a dangerous yet addictive situation. Kinda like most toxic relationships. At least, that's what I'm getting.
The evidence of Stray Kids being a self-produced group is not only apparent in their music and choreographies and performances, but also in the growth of the members.
3Racha not solely produces for the group, but also helps the others write songs and 'cook up' their potential talents!
Like Hyunjin's rap--we all know Changbin had a role in his rap training from the pre-debut era, and along with extremely diverse and creative songs, Hyunjin develops his skill even more.
Seungmin said it himself, he practice a lot in order to embrace their songs.
For Lee Know, well, you know, we know, how he likes the challenge Han gave in his high note songs like Secret Secret. Chan also let him be their dance leader.
IN as well, Chan said that he saw him as a 'blank canvas' and wanted to help him 'paint' his voice with 'colors'.
For Felix case, even with his voice which is one of THE most distinctive ones in kpop (or maybe the global music) world, IMO, wouldn't be this 'grown up' if he isn't in Stray Kids. Why? That's how genius 3Racha is. Bet no groups/producers know his character and know how to utilize/position it in song's parts better than 3Racha!
This is my #1 for Han's raps. Ive listened to just his part so many times. I love the little 'ahhh' at the end. Ugh, these guys are no joke. Ive been a stay for 6 months now, and its not slowing down at all. I still have so much music i have to listen to.

I had another theory. But now I think it’s this: Felix & I.N are the game masters, or at least they have an unfair advantage to win. It’s a game of members trying to off each other. The supper scene reminds me of the story of Circe.
I also love Hyunjin’s tone in this album, and I also love how I.N’s and Lee Know’s voices shine through. They all have their own distinct color & I love when they shine it😍
If you have watched Oddinary intro, Chan mentioned that he tried and push Charmer to be the title track before Maniac has made. So no wonder why Charmer are almost good to be a bside track

Notice how in that one picture of lonely st there are just 7 members while Seungmin is missing, and in that mv of lonely st they‘re running through that field but again they are 7 and Felix is missing BUT in 가 미 졸 at the end of the mv only Felix and Seungmin found the exit and they decided to stay maybe because they know how to deal with that pain???? I feel like those easter eggs are right in front of us but we still don‘t get them
So true! Hyunjin really gives us everything in album! It's unbelievable but he really gave us a soft vocals in bridge after a deep voice in chorus. He also sings vocals again in Freeze bridge.. his different styles rap even in a one song like venom like charmer.. his killing part in Freeze.. it's insane!!

You asked about theory, so here goes, at least about the dinning scene. SKZ seems to have a theme in their storyline that there is a version of themselves that "buys into" the system, that takes the easy road, that does what society expects of them. That goes all the way back to District 9. The dinning scene gives me "drinking the Cool-Aid" vibes... willfully ingesting what society is feeding them and not even wanting out of the trap. It's pretty relatable. We all get caught up in the rat race and "keeping up with the Jones's". It's a trap of sorts, but we all have our reasons for not exiting.
I was about to go to sleep, about to. But Andy&Jas reactions to stray kids is a must. I can’t skip it if I already saw the notification, I have to watch it.

I can’t come with theories but I just love the fact that most of the time their songs is I am you, you are me, we are one things like that. But here, they just keep betraying each other. Like Changbin being able to free himself but don’t free the others, Felix controlling the spider, Lee Know poisoning them with the food, I.N with the arrow against Chan or Hyunjin trying to shoot Han

I may be wrong but to me it kind of sounds like the whole kpop industry...where Changbin talks about how he got himself trapped could be their music contracts and the song could be about being trapped in it and the anxiety and the toxic crap that comes from being in the music industry especially kpop....but that cause they love music then its got them wrapped up in it and they dont want to leave....so they are trapped in this web of music industry and they are just trying to navigate their way through it....in their last few songs Stray Kids took aim at their haters etc so it only makes sense that this time they take aim at the industry....and the ending could mean they dont want to leave the industry which is why they dont leave the exit....maybe i could be totally wrong lol
I like your take on it. In Miroh Chan sings that he chose to go into that jungle. And I also remember a vid where Chan says he wants to 'destroy' the industry. can't remember which vid it is though but it was like a documentary. Perhaps from SKZVintage?
