Yep... governments are incrementally sneaking in digital ID for everyone.... to save the children and all, they say. Your information is safe, they say. Don’t be a conspiracy theorist, they say. Nope!!
if you hold peoples info then you have a responsablity to keep it safe and there should be large fines and compensation for allowing it to be compromised no matter weather its the government or the IRD or police
The collection of information is for the purposes of gathering tax not advertising. US courts have held that hashing is not sufficient protection for US citizens
Thank you, you beat me to it. I reason every time we are forced to give our details, we should get $500 Because those details are getting sold numerous times and they get paid, why not us. I was at the till at Hallensteins to pay for clothing items. The woman asked for my email address, I said you don’t need that information. She said I need it for your receipt otherwise I can’t do the transaction. I said no problem, I can leave the items on your counter and leave. She suddenly decided she could do so. I did reminder her it’s my private information and the only reason she has been trained that way is because your company is selling everybody’s information.
@@Winstonsmithsalias bro and you guys say Maori have their hands out - hallensteins isn't inland revenue. And they most likely asked for your email so they can send you your receipt if you want to go paperless, they do however still do paper receipts. It's helpful if you want to declare it against your expenses and alot easier to keep track of as small receipts are very easy to misplace. It is your private info, but honestly mate you're a nobody. They'd gain nothing by selling your email address, I gave postie mine and they as do hallensteins have an option to flag that you don't want promotional deals etc but just receipts so your inbox doesn't get overloaded. How old are you if you don't mind me asking - based off the tone and vernacular I'd say you're anywhere from 45-70, hardly a younger generational way of thinking. I suppose they would pay you 500 for your info if it was actual of value, but it's not. And you have the option to opt out you chose to. Or you could do what I do and make a 2nd email for random things and a personal email for hospitals, bills etc. That way they're actually unable to access info if they do sell it - which the likelihood is extremely low.
I agree with you however when you agree to sign up to these social media/tech sites they bury these clauses in fine print that say OUR data is in fact THEIR data.
@@Pastaaa204 Seeing as your reply doesn't come from the CEO of Hallesteins and starts with 'bro and'. I would suggest you are clearly not in the loop. Are you chained to your oar, working for Hallensteins or something similar? well done by the way. When you are older and wizer, I would suggest you are 14 to 16 years old, maybe you will understand. What was your favourite quote from George Orwells1984? I'm definately interested.
No cracking needed, here is an email address, these people need this advert, we only send this advert to high income individuals. You have given the giants all they need to know.
This is why you can’t trust public servants with your information

Lining up their ducks for Digital i.d.
Ird is breaching nz data rights. If ird needs to contact someone, all they need to do is send a letter or email, not run an ad campaign

So when can I expect my compensation/royalties from them for selling MY personal information without MY permission to a private company for profit?

If IRD is selling my data in what ever form, where’s my cut?.
How do I canvass the government to tighten the borders, curb immigration, limit them coming in to those of similar culture as the majority of us ?

Would you let a snake look after a mouse?
Have you spelt Vaughn correctly? (missing an 'a')?
