      Hi Chris, How much is a tank? and how many miles roughly are you getting out of it?

    • @ChrisSimmS3
      @ChrisSimmS3  7 років тому

      About £65 and 300 miles on a good week.

  • @matthewthewizkid

    Mine has gotten much better after 4K-6k miles, it is louder and faster not to mention better on fuel. But, I've tried Esso Supreme and Tesco Momentum which are OK but with V Power I don't drop below 26mpg with 50% sensible driving (28 on the last tank). I am gaining 30-40 miles range out of every tank on V Power.. amazed.

    • @ChrisSimmS3
      @ChrisSimmS3  7 років тому +1

      Yeh, i use V-Power in mine, only just passed the 1000 mile mark so it'll be good to see what it's like in the future!

    • @matthewthewizkid
      @matthewthewizkid 7 років тому +1

      Chris Simm I tried a few different fuels mainly because the 6/7p a litre cheaper is quite attractive but I've never run it on 95, only ever supreme. But I always felt like I was cheating the car haha. It's only £3 a tank extra. V Power normally made my MPG drop in previous cars, but the S3 loves it. You have plenty of good things to come in the next few thousand miles, the car just gets better and better! Really questioning whether I need an RS3 :'(

    • @ChrisSimmS3
      @ChrisSimmS3  7 років тому

      I've been thinking that but then i drove past an RS3 through a tunnel and it sounded amazing!

    Picked up my S3 Saloon yesterday, drove about 50miles home today and thought I'd stick it in efficiency just to see how the performance changes and what mpg I might get. Ended up almost 38mpg! That was a little city driving and motorway most of the time, but I wasn't just sticking at 60 or anything so pretty pleased with that!

    • @ChrisSimmS3
      @ChrisSimmS3  7 років тому +2

      I'm sure as the car breaks itself in, you'll see it go up as well! One of my mates got 45mpg on the motorway with his S3!

    • @ChrisSimmS3

      A remap i'm assuming can be found on the ECU even with a flash back to stock. The JB4 box takes it under 4 seconds as well btw.

      I think in other countries, Audi do such as the US but not in the UK... If something goes wrong with the exhaust and the resonator is to blame, Audi won't cover but for other things, they should. Thanks!

    Do you think that the fuel consumption improves after a while? I got my S3 last month and it barely has 1500 miles and I can only get 15 mpg driving in the city with the AC on and with the AC off, I was able to get only 17mpg. I drove a Q5 for a week and got better gas mileage than my S3 which supposed to be the opposite!

      Hi, I'm debating buying a 17 plate S3. Do roughly 50mile round trip everyday too and from work, all motorway. What do you reckon it would cost per week? I currently have a Volvo D2 2.0 and get roughly 550-600miles per tank £70. I expect to pay a little more for fuel but don't want it to be extortionate.

      I agree. The super sport seats are not as comfy as I was expecting. On a 200 mile drive, after about 100 miles my back was aching (with full lumber support) and my backside was numb. It was very uncomfortable. Not sure if standard seats are any better, but they have less side-bolster support around the body.
