    Heya! Im only 14 but damn do i love his work. I love the way he expresses his emotion, its contagious.
    No one in my school listens to classical music, in fact, my friends laugh at me when i mention it. Even still, through all the sleepless nights lang lang and many other talents, yoko kanno mozart and liszt to name a few have really made understand that it is not suffering that humans only experience. Thank you so much for sharing pieces like this, i really really really appreciate itt!!

      Nice to welcome you to the world of classical music at such tender age. In my school boy days I had a similar experience. Everybody was listenting to the hit songs and getting crazy over the chart busters. I was the lonely boy left alone at the classroom corner, listening (over a cheap, tiny transistor radio, no TV in those days) to Tchaikovsky, Mendelssohn. Beethoven, etc.

      Yes, seeing him backstage reveals to us many qualities of the true artist which we cannot see in a formal performance in which we can only look at him frontstage at a distance.

    It is admirable the work of Lang Lang extending the teaching of classical music in his native country that soon will be a power also in this.

      in a way backstage work is sometimes more rewarding than formal concert performance, especially when you have the privilege to walk up to the artists and film them upfront in action

    Se qualcuno ancora si interroga sui perché del successo planetario di questo pianista, credo che in questo video potrà trovare molte risposte. Come prima cosa essendo questa una ripresa non professionale, è possibile vedere un Lang Lang franco e diretto nell'intenzione, senza cioè quei filtri d'immagine che a volte utilizza allorché consapevole di essere sotto gli occhi (spesso critici) di tutti. Egli gioca a fare musica e lo fa gradevolmente, con grande naturalezza e semplicità, facendoci quasi dimenticare che quest'arte è spesso frutto di impegno e sacrificio. Naturalmente la sua concentrazione è qui divergente, molteplice, non certo assoluta come avviene in Concerto. Sappiamo bene infatti, che fra una prova e lo "show" intercorre una precisa distanza emo-intenzionale. Forse però, è proprio fra le pieghe di questa distanza ch'è possibile per noi cogliere le ragioni che fanno di questo pianista uno dei più importanti dell'odierno panorama musicale.

    I think Lang Lang would make a fine conductor too ! He is mighty emotional and knows how to move the orchestra!

    • @ChinaPrideStudio
      @ChinaPrideStudio  5 років тому +4

      Dear Hiroko,
      Agree. He already does, but Lang Lang is in fact more than a conductor; he is pianist + conductor + reincarnation of the original composer all in one. You can see this in his eyes, open or semi-open, his fingers on the keyboard and off the keyboard, and his body gestures. Of course he sometimes overrides the conductor in controlling the orchestra over more critical passages of the music piece he is going deep into. Critics who fail to really understand him or fail to really understand the music piece he is performing may say he is being egoistic and rude. Lang Lang is not oblivious to these diversions, but he does not care, because he knows at his heart that he is not doing all these by calculation to portray an elevated platform of his image. He does not need this; he is already there. It takes an artist to appreciate an artist. Lang Lang's air, finger dances, body gestures etc. in this film were all spontaneous flows of his passion on the music which he is very deep into. You know this if you look at him up close and personal, and film him live on the act.
      Sincerely, Tom.

      Dear Joe, the interesting thing about backstage filming is the action in the video footage as you walk through the orchestra in real time; sound balance of different instruments of course take their turns to be come proportionally louder as they get past the camera.

    Muzyka poważna chyba go męczy, bo nie potrafi się skupić na grze. Ciągle się rozgląda nie wiadomo za czym. Może lepiej niech gra na dworcach, lotniskach i poczekalniach.

    • @ChinaPrideStudio
      @ChinaPrideStudio  6 років тому

      Agree, if done as calculated acts. But often, people are not aware of implications of their gestures when they are not focussing on their own postures, but mentally wandering over other things of interest or non-interest in their environment, as some people may do momentarily from time to time.
