  • Hello everyone!
It's been way too long since my last video, so i decided to put a couple of them together in 1 video!
First, i will show you a short metal detecting trip together with Potato Digger.
We Detected on a couple different locations, one of them was a former Waffen SS Firing Range!
Of course, i went to the Ciney Militaria Fair, i bought a couple things, but not too much because i'm trying saving my money..
I didn't had much time, so i couldn't film too much.. also some people got angry because i filmed the stuff they were selling.. mmm.. definitely something to hide there!
It's been 75 years since the south part of the Netherlands was liberated in 1944, so i took part in a reenactment and parade in Oirsbeek - Beekdaelen ( Netherlands )
It was an awesome day, keeping History alive is really important!
And i bought a really cool new camera.. you will see it in the video!
More content is coming, cleaning relics, metal detecting, magnet fishing, exploring etc etc! :)
For now, i really hope you enjoy this video!!

They can't Brow Beat you down and make you stop enjoying your hobbies, they will stop after they see that their words have no power over you. Don't give them any reaction to feed off of.

I don't know how severe you're bullying is but if there is a way for you to show that you have knowledge about a wide range of World War 2 topics aside from Germany then that should do it.
But then again kids aren't reasonable.

@@JumpinJoe I don't think he should prove himself to anybody. They are going to think what they want to thank and there's no such thing as winning an argument with idiots. He may as well just stop talking about it.

God, I'm actually jealous you live in Europe, they seem to have so much memorials, reenactments, and just mainly World War II stuff around the times of the battles, now yes... I'm 11 so if there is any reenactments here in America, I can't reenact. So, I'm just plain jealous, that you live, what? In the Netherlands or something? I'm just jealous. Anyways, thank you for making these videos! I enjoy them a lot!

So you can actually spend that in any store in Hungary. Just wanted to let you know. Then go to the SOS in Louisville, KY. The biggest in the US. And if you want militaria AND guns, go to the Wanenmacher Arms Show in Tulsa, OK.
Just because it isn’t near you doesn’t mean we don’t have these shows in the US. Same in Europe, some shows in The Netherlands, Belgium, Germany. If you want to go to a big show, you have to travel.

    Okay, Nick,
I understand the reasoning behind shaving the mustache...but you look like you're still in high school! :-) So cute! Lol!
Suzy is so beautiful, and she has tamed down so wonderfully! You have a house filled with interesting pets!
The Ciney Fair looked marvellous! I would have quickly gone broke there, so much to buy! I don't know how I would have ever gotten it all home, though...a fortune in air freight, I expect!
I love the pictures you got with the new camera, after you got the settings right, which is always a problem with new equipment. They look antique, which is so awesome! They are expensive, though. Better save that camera for re-enactments only!
I enjoyed the video very much! Take care, and all the best!

These days there are retro inspired digital photo camera's. I also like the look of the 8mm (1932) Kodak camera- Fragment 8 Retro Camera can be changed from 1 lens to a rotating 3 lens type. It is even possible to reproduce the film features of film. Although not many GIs would carry what probably would be a exspensive camera around the battlefield. The Leica firm also produces retro style digital camera's not sure if they have 40 or 30 style cameras. And although German these camera's were sold around the world. During the war Britian bought a lot of Leica's in Sweden for the army photographic and film unit.

Loved your idea of the taking photos with the new/old camera.
I collect replica airguns. I am planning on making a video utilizing some Mosin Nagant rifles and a Nagant pistol, and either produce it in B&W or sepia. (BTW, I'm not Russian).
I have aged the one replica Luger which I own, so it looks like it was found in someone's attic or barn.

Recent sub to your channel. I find it interesting that the Germans stamped a Swaztika on even the most mundane items (shoelaces). Not into collecting militaria anymore (mostly 17th and 18th century American and English antique items) but at one time I did have one of the largest Gettysburg specific artillery projectile and relics collections. That was back in the early nineties.

Our local militaria shows are nowhere near the size of that one, but the vendors are not allowed to pack up until after the show, or they don't get to come back.
Are you allowed to have a functional Garand, or has yours been made non-firing? I have a few and have fired them all.

Yes, the last time i was there, they were also packing their stuff 3 hours too early.. not fair.. people pay for that!!
I was allowed to have a functional M1 Garand when i still had my permit, now i use a deactivated one for reenactment.
I love the M1 Garand, awesome rifle!

That pistol belt is I believe an M1956 pattern belt, although it seems to be a contract belt. There aren't any US markings present on it.

Has to feed his bird...bird is a raptor...feasting on fresh meat! Nope no parakeets on this channel! At 9:50 that toothed bit of metal looks like the piece that goes on the side of a U.S. style belt buckle. It pivots on the ends when the web belt is pushed into the buckle, then when pulling out on the belt it will bite into the webbing gripping it. Harder you pull the harder it digs into the web belt.

Bit of an afterthought now... but the reason that M1905E1 bayonet is missing its barrel ring is most likely because it was cut down in the Korean War and used for a fighting knife. It was quite common for surplus 05 bayos to be cut down postwar.

  • @momsom321
    @momsom321 4 роки тому +1

That garand bayonet is reused by another country after the war the ring was taken off because it was placed on a different gun than a garand
