The aluminium brush looks like one, used for applying shaving cream in World War One. This also explains the random tubes you found nearby, probably also for shaving.
Supergaaf man en onwijs veel respect! :)
19:16 into video Ive seen a few similar objects in your other videos. It seems like the top of a cane/swagger stick/ walking stick. I'm humbled if I'm wrong. But I do love that your videos bring out that wonder/adventure, and curiosity in my brain. Carry on. And appreciate your time and devotion!
Great video...I think you are on the right "track" with the half-track idea. I can imagine a German vehicle being taken out by a squad of U.S. troops. Afterward the troops would stop long enough to search the wreckage for intelligence information and to possibly verify body count. They take the opportunity to eat a k-ration and pick up a sweet SS bayonet or 9mm Pistol as a souvenir...then something interrupted the moment causing them to quickly flee the scene. A single bayonet, not on a belt. Unfired 9mm stripper clips dropped on the ground. Vehicle parts, possibly a spare set of bearings with the threaded compression ring and a spare track pad. U.S. bazooka rocket parts. U.S. food ration paper, buried to help hide the troop numbers. In their haste someone dropped their U.S. fork. I think you were at the epicenter of an event. I would encourage you to make a plan and go back to that site. Also, after treating the leather on the scabbard you can re-stitch it using the same holes. Many of the preserved leather pieces I saw can be reassembled this way. It is also a good time to make measurements of the leather parts for making replacement and replicas. GREAT VIDEO!!!
Ok, I love the Steyr Hahn 1912. When I saw the stripper clip I knew immediately what it was. The bullets looked too small to be a rifle round and no other gun feeds with 8 round stripper clips. And I knew what is was the second you said "9mm but a bit taller." The treason being that the measurements of the bullet is 9x23 Steyr. If you didn't know, what you found is EXTREMELY rare. I mean, beyond rare. That is an incredible find!
I know this is over 4 years old now, and you've come a long way as a researcher and a speaker of English. But it's really cool to hear your enthusiasm!
He probably covered it up, marked it, and then reported it to the owner of the property or maybe even the police. After all it is a large shell probably with gun powder
Wow, this is made when u had 2k subs! Its so cool to see how far you've come since 2017! Keep up the good finds and Happy 2019! Lets get you to 25k subs this year!
Mmm, i also first thought it was a ahaving brush.. then i thought a painting brush because it didn't had enough hairs.. but maybe they fell off and it actually is a shaving brush! Thanks for the comment! Gr Nick
Hey love your videos I'm in Australia and I live near a millatary hospital site and the thing you found at 15:00 of the video I have a whole bunch of them I wish I could send you a photo of them they all look so new but are yet from the time period of 1923-1933 from what I believe if you know what they are can you please tell me thank you
Mauser c96 was chambered to 9mm cartridge already during ww1, they continued to manufacture those examples after the war in Germany and elsewhere from 1920s to late 1930s. To tell them apart from the standard 7,63 examples, the 9mm ones got a big "9" carved onto the grips and the number painted red, thus they were titled "red 9s". You see them for sale sometimes in gun shows.
What the hack :D that is crazy awesome, I always found bayonets but never in such condition with the leather still in one piece. Speechless and only one word for you my friend Congrats! DMMD Team
Yes i was speeches!! :-D First i thought it was only the frog, then i was like, OH YEAH the scabbard is still on it.. then it was complete.. and it even was a Waffen SS Bayonet!! Too bad i can't dig more signals there because of a wasp nest.. i went back and i had i great signal.. guess what.. the wasps made a nest right where that signal is! So a lot of wasps came out of the hole, and we needed to run really fast! But my day will come... i will be back! Thank you so much for watching my friend!! :) Gr Nick
Did you ever show the blade of the bayonet on the Channel ? Because the division is engraved on that kind of waffen SS bayonet (wiking /leibstandarte ect )
Just after that " the next day", that brush seems to big for paint, maybe a shaving soap/cream brush? I don't know anything about alot of things but I do love that your videos encourage me to wonder. I know I've said it before. Even on this comment feed. Sorry to repeat myself. But I just enjoy your content 😊
Holy sh*t!!!! Thats amazing bro! What a rare find! Unbelievable.... Congrats✌🏻 Hope you find more SS stuff at your spot! The fork is also a nice find! Keep up the good work bro✌🏻 Many greetings from the Huertgenforest AC-Adventures
Thank you sooo much!!! :-D Yes, I just couldn't believe my eyes when i saw that SS marking! I tried to take it out of the scabbard, but it's pretty hard and i don't want to damage it! Who knows what is still waiting there to be found.. i'm probably not gonna find anything better then this there.. but you'll never know! Indeed, i really love that fork too, the condition is crazy! Also really like the track part! Thank you so much for watching!! Good luck on your next trip... maybe you will find the complete Fallschirmjäger helmet! Gr Nick
I think it would be so cool to find something from all those years ago knowing it probably went through a very intense battle and not knowing what happened to the wielder
Great video I really enjoy your content and seeing you dig up relics from the second and first world war. Being a collector myself I wish I had a place I could dig up world war one and two relics. Keep up the good work.
7:40 in slovakia there also were nazis one of them my great geat grandma offered the food and to hide him but he refuses...he forgots his spoon with nazi eagle on back how cool is that ?! also great vid :D
The maker mark and code on the bayonet along with the serial number is probably gone but would be interesting to see if it's still there. Probably issued around the time that SS man was issued his rifle (many gewehr 98 rifles we're reworked into model 98k's for the SS starting around 36 and ending in 1940-very early 41)
Hi Nick. Amazing episode, wow. So much stuff this time. I feel happy for you about the SS-bayonett. 😉 I only found a sheath of an infantry knife on my 10th video. 😅 Ok, all the best and take care.
Thank you very much!! Yeah, i'm really happy with it! Oh, that's a really cool find too! But never lose hope, maybe you will find a complete SS dump some day! :-D Thank you for watching!! Gr Nick
Concerning the 1917 long German cartridge with the top looking strange. During WWI, both sides had in place steel, or iron "sniper boxes." The sniper's gun fit through, with a small hole to aim through. Soldier's , on both sides would remove the bullets and turn them around, place them back in the cartridge, and fire them at the metal boxes. This is because the flat end of the bullet would be less likely to just bounce off, and would scatter on impact blinding the sniper's shooting eye.
I know what you mean indeed, really interesting! But this one was bend sideways, so most likely used to start a fire. Thanks for your comment!! Gr Nick
As a jew, an israeli and a former soldier i salute you. This find is amazing and brought tears to my eyes. Your work, editing and energy is awesome! A new subscriber indeed! Is there any chance of finding out the ss soldier's info from those numbers? Or are they random?

Just curious bro. What's your opinion on the internet sight 'German Helmet Vault'? I've bought me a relic M35 shell and new to the trade, but a WW2 German fan and was stationed in Germany, 5 1/2" years in the Army😁
Nice video and that axe thing u found was used to hammer in the saw cut of a tree to widden the cut so sawing was easy and trees falls over Keep up the Nice videos
Yo nick.
Gr Nick
the round rings with things inside like you called them must be wheel bairings from proberly the tankwheels you found a rubber from thetank track .. the handel you found ..i think it can be of a second world war oven / heater ..with 2 iron doors ... the had 2 of those hendels on the doors
9:35 That's a beard brush, im pretty sure. I found a brush like that in my great-grandfather's room who was a WW2 veteran. And the family said it was a beard brush.
Zeer mooie vondsten man.
Gr Nick
You should go to the seigfried line near the Ardenne because I know there was a lot of fighting in the Forrest at the seigfried Line, you could find guns, ammo and maybe grenades!
I've been near the siegfried line, it's a really interesting place, i actually don't live too far away from it :) I find grenades pretty often.. really dangerous, so always have to be careful!
Hi Nick, for information only, what do you have to do finding artillery shells or unexploded mines, do you notify the authorities? In Italy we must notify the authorities.
If you look is other metal detecting video when he find live rounds sometimes he says that he can't keep them hand that he is gonna give it to the police to deactivate them
Thanks! Sometimes you can get it for a good price at flea markets, militaria fairs etc.. but watch out for fake stuff! Most of the times original items are expensive.. i buy from known militaria webshops with lifetime guarantee on authenticity :) Gr Nick
Gr Nick
That bayonet is probably one of your best finds you’ve got to try and restore it right now I’m saving up for a german bayonet with late war wood handles
I have a K-98 that came off a tank in Africa. A K-98 bayonet give them to me my one of my grandfathers. sadly someone went through a lot of effort to remove all the eagles off both the bayonet and the case but made it look good. A ammo can with a full belt of French machine gun ammo. Stamps with Hitler on them some uncirculated along with coins from Germany. A few years ago got to work on a wartime Remington made 1911 45 cal pistol. There is an airport near where I live it's where the P-47 Thunderbolts pilots got their training. I'm thinking of going out there and look around. All growing up people rumored that there were tunnels out huge caches of weapons ammunition even vehicles. Only 1 way to find out if they were right
History Secrets thank you. It is true I do not wish to "BS" any one I am in New Jersey U.S.A a LOT of history here. The town I live in made the first flag on the moon

That SS bayonet is in REALLY good condition, too! Amazing find!
I know this is over 4 years old now, and you've come a long way as a researcher and a speaker of English. But it's really cool to hear your enthusiasm!
3:45 the coin says “Travail Famille” which means “work family” in French.
The Asian Destructor Travail Famille Patrie is the motto of Vichy France
Effectivement c'est bien ça😁👍 "travail, famille, patrie".
Absolutely Great Finds! Those days are far and few between!!! 😁😎🇺🇸

He probably covered it up, marked it, and then reported it to the owner of the property or maybe even the police. After all it is a large shell probably with gun powder

But my day will come... i will be back!

Did you ever show the blade of the bayonet on the Channel ? Because the division is engraved on that kind of waffen SS bayonet (wiking /leibstandarte ect )
I never did, because i don't want to damage the scabbard.. but maybe i will sometime ;)
9:05 into video. Lyonnaise is a french "sliced potatoes" dish. Or Google is a liar. Take you pick 😂
Just after that " the next day", that brush seems to big for paint, maybe a shaving soap/cream brush? I don't know anything about alot of things but I do love that your videos encourage me to wonder. I haven't searched your videos yet but does anyone know if he was able to seperate the SS bayonet from the scabbard?
No it's too rusty and the scabbard is paper thin
You make me very jealous as living in America I don't have much of a chance to find many world war 2 items 😂 keep up the good work!
We can dig for civil war relics I want a detector to do that actually because my town was in a civil war battle

Mr. History Secrets, the item with the handle is a shut off valve for a pipe system.
Spettacolare la baionetta..... e anche il resto

where did you bought metal detector

You should go to the seigfried line near the Ardenne because I know there was a lot of fighting in the Forrest at the seigfried Line, you could find guns, ammo and maybe grenades!
I've been near the siegfried line, it's a really interesting place, i actually don't live too far away from it :)
I find grenades pretty often.. really dangerous, so always have to be careful!
I think the thing you said you damaged might be a handle for when they opened the canons to put the shells in
I was thinking about that too indeed! :-D
Too bad i can't find any pictures..
Thanks for the help!
Gr Nick
Hi Nick, for information only, what do you have to do finding artillery shells or unexploded mines, do you notify the authorities? In Italy we must notify the authorities.
If you look is other metal detecting video when he find live rounds sometimes he says that he can't keep them hand that he is gonna give it to the police to deactivate them
@@lemanael8199 thanks

Love your channel I also love to buy ww2 items do you know any cheap site that’s not eBay
Thanks!
Sometimes you can get it for a good price at flea markets, militaria fairs etc.. but watch out for fake stuff!
Most of the times original items are expensive.. i buy from known militaria webshops with lifetime guarantee on authenticity :)

Them wasps they gonna get u man
That mushroom brass looking thing looks like a bolt for a rifle. Potentially a kar.
The large valve and handle you found looks like it could have come off a tiger or a Sherman
Gr Nick
That bayonet is probably one of your best finds you’ve got to try and restore it right now I’m saving up for a german bayonet with late war wood handles
It sure is!
Too bad it's falling apart now..
But i found an MG42 and a complete FLAK Gun too! :D
History Secrets very nice finds are those in videos I would like to see them?
The video of the MG42 is on my old channel K98100, but the Flak is on this Channel :)
History Secrets Ok thanks love your channel
Only 1 way to find out if they were right
Really really interesting story!! :-D
Good luck!
Gr Nick
