It's such a shame these kayaks have such a big issue with warping and cracking. It happened to me too, which made me go in a different direction with a different kayak. On one hand I get it, its a 1,000 kayak its going to come with the territory on some level, and having these issues happen 2-4 years after purchase isn't as insane as it happening on a 3-4k kayak. That principle makes sense. But I do wish they did more to reinforce that footwell area. Its probably loosing them business on some level, people do their research, they see all these issues, and it turns them away because they do nothing to change it. Great Video!

For a $100 dollars, the lumen seem to be not produce our more brightness.

The plastic is weak, you should see the cracks on mine. It's terrible, but the kayak is awesome I'd buy another. I don't feel as though we should have to add more things to stiffen the deck area (personal opinion) but I have seen people build a plywood cut out for the deck. These "Kayaks" don't need more weight on them but they look slick and apparently it works.

I was looking at your video and I wanted to know is there a company out there that can fix those cracks is something you could do yourself? I don’t know I’m asking because I love the boat myself. I like your video so I just wanted to know if you’ve been looking for somebody to fix them I wanna be informed, that would be a good video

Hey man. I owned this flag around this time last year and made a video on it. I gotta warn you, this flag was probably one of the worst items I have purchased for a kayak. The wiring for the flag was failing out of the box. You screw the light in and the socket gets stuck in, when I pulled it out, the wiring came with it. After the first trip, the entire flag failed. Got it replaced by yakpowers warranty, and the new one was bad out of the box. The shaft/mast is also very brittle. Granted, this was a year ago, and yakpower could have fixed the issues by now. But the experiences with this product across multiple anglers are overwhelmingly poor.

You fish off the right side of your Kayak mostly. I would move your new camera to the othger side, that way we're not looking at your back.

For your next video I’d suggest a very quick look at what bait you are fishing and how it’s rigged. You mentioned it but didn’t really show it too much. I’m talking like spend no more than 10 seconds or so explaining your rig. (Just letting you know what I as a viewer wanted to see.). Hope it helps!

That kayak is a good one for sure. So versatile. Congrats on that fish. I know that is an amazing feeling. You could feel the excitement in your voice. Drop shot is a great technique. Good for a quick bite.

Never been big on the Ascend brand, mainly as I don't see any of their yaks being good for the salt, flats maybe, but not the yak I would go to chase Pac Salmon or Butts with.

Ive been fishing all my life and lived on the lake with my own boat as a kid and i can honestly say kayak nowadays are so badass. Really the most important thing on a boat is the trolling motor and electronics. The boat just gets you there.
