JD, isn't it sad that you can say that expectations are low for this team when they play teams like Philly and Houston? That kind of crap would not have flown fifteen years ago. And is indicative of how far this franchise has been allowed to fall under the current leadership.

Burly is looking pretty great, but it would depend entirely on what you need at the moment. I would pick Gorman if the bases are empty and the game is tied. Winn gets my vote if you just need to get someone on base.
Really hope they pick up at least 1 right handed pitcher for the bullpen, and by the trade dead line would love if they find 1 more high tier starting pitcher and find an okay hitter that's a good outfielder or at third base.
Not happening.. they are banking on Edman and Contreras return as bat trades… they should take advantage of the Mets bullpen maybe Quintana return.. but we will see

I was always high on Burleson since middle of last season. I saw the contact skills he’s had and I knew once he had himself a breakout year, he’d be very good.

@@rousefire I mean, honestly, it felt like 30% of his outs were lineouts. I figured if he were to figure something out, those lineouts would turn into hits and he’d definitely have some value. Not to mention he’s only 25 years old

@@scott2726 Did you just start following baseball? He has NOT retired from baseball. Look at the reason WHY he is not pitching in the MLB. If some MLB team would take a chance and sign him, he would make the MLB minimum which is a LOT more than in the independent Mexican League.

We have too many needs to be a serious contender this year. We need at least one quality starter, and two solid bats. No way can we trade for that, because we have nothing to offer from the minors. What could we possibly offer the White Sox that would be tempting for them? Who wants Carlson? Nobody, not even us. McGreevy? Ha! Walker? Typical regression of a young player subjected to our launch angle nonsense. Are we willing to give up Robberse and Hence, the only minor league arms that appear really good? The pantry is empty and we have nothing to offer.

Honestly we need to get rid Everyone except Arenado, Gorman, Winns, Contreras when he comes back and Edman and Burleson and of course Gray. I will say this whoever's name i didn't mention need to trade for ONLY High Prospects and rebuild this team. I think i understand why the Cardinals are the only horrible team in the NL Central when it matters its because of old expired players not enough young guys all over the team like everyone else in the division.
I get tired of this horrible luck this team has. I'll go back to saying what I said before things haven't been solved yet the managing is still horrible. I fully expect them to play at home against Colorado like a good team and not let Colorado push them around. My goodness Cincinnati swept Colorado.
