Hi Sara. I have had some experience with delivering. to truck drivers. Most are friendly and generous. There are alot of warehouses in my zone so I have delivered to the big rigs several times. Last night I had a $10 Uber order to deliver to a trucker 2.3 miles I did not look so much at the drop but it was at a I-70 rest area just west of Indianapolis. I forgot I would have to drive several miles to the next exit and then drive back to my zone He did alright by me with a $20 tip so order total was $22. On that one I learned that I should find the drop off location. I just saw 2.3 miles for $11 dollars and hit accept Have a good week and keep on trucking
Shoutout to the tractor trailer driver who tipped $30! Prayers for those people who understand and appreciate people who drive and give their time to deliver things! Thank you to them for all they do!
As a truck driver myself I know he appreciates the shout out. I know what ya delivery drivers go thru too . I tipped big as well. Thank you to all the delivery drivers Uber eats, door dash , insta cart and so fourth.

My biggest tip was $84 for outback steak house .50 mile. For a hotel delivery. Turns out it was an entire group and decided to DD because they were tired. I was so pumped up after that my faith in DD was restored 😂

I once got an extra $20.00 tip from a trucker for a $5.00 Auntie Ann's Pretzel 5ish miles and it was already a $12 offer. That was nice 🙂
I get people that leave a # for me to call when I get there (or whatever). I won't call like that. A) they don't need my digits, B) That's why these apps make the big bucks, let them be the middleman.
I used to get a VERY generous tipper (like 3 X;s), then Uber stopped giving me offers from him, or my other good tipper I had a couple times. Tips like that make your shift/day!
That's where we get some of the thumbs down for not following directions. But I'm like you I don't call outside of the app. It could be a way to scam with your name and number.

Girl, what are you doing asking them if they are “name on order”? You are begging for someone to say yes and just take your customer’s food. Always have them give you their name.

Oh I’ve been through that!!! It’s DD control-depends on the area and time of day too!!!! They will get us to take those trash orders if we want to use their gig.
It's every 100 orders. Each one replaces the oldest one. Its not a 1:1 ratio. If you click on acceptance rate it explains it

I absolutely hate delivering to the hospital. They give the least directions of where to drop off. Im not going in and walking around going from elevators. Lets not forget where the fuck can i park thats even close. No. Come out meet me at my fucken car.

I never do food delivery, so much easier to cook at home. When I do eat out at a restaurant, I leave a huge tip as long as the food is good.
